Zaks - Mousehold
Harvey had the opportunity to purchase an old café caravan situated on Castle Meadow Norwich next to the old cattle market.
Zaks opened in May 1976 serving the now famous chargrilled burgers in the “Original Zaks Caravan” wrapped in tin foil and cooked fresh to order in the American tradition.
If it is an authentic American dining experience you are looking for then Zaks is your kind of place. Burger, ribs and chicken are standards on our menu. Add to this succulent steaks, amazing desserts and a huge selection of authentic drinks (including shakes).

It would have been nice to have been offered serviettes, as a takeaway we eat it whilst out and about. One western burger didn't have any onions rings, apart from that the usual lovely tasting burgers we are used to.
Zaks have done so well during this crisis , food wrapped well , good service, ordering is very easy for someone not to upto date technology

It was the first time I have booked a meal through the online application and everything went smoothly, from the online booking slot to the call back on the day to take my order , and of cause as always the large portion of chips with my C&B burger. I was very pleased to see just because it was a takeaway the portions and quality was the same as always .

Wow lovely food , we all had the big un burgers, all cooked medium / rare as we asked , when I arrived to collect my order everything was COVID secure sanitizer, masks worn 2 meters distance, my order was ready as time to collect, burgers amazing as usual , thankyou Zak’s moushold a lovely sat takeaway treat .will definitely order again.

We had a booked takeaway. Brilliantly organised and efficient. The food was completely up to Zak’s usual standard and was still hot when we got it home. Fries stayed crisp!

Zaks are operating a take-out service during lockdown and although we miss dining at Mousehold, the burgers taste just as good at home. A great, friendly, efficient service - can't recommend it highly enough.

As per normal we cannot fault the service or food, however the curlys are very tasty but the chips again were white, under cooked and disappointing . They need some colour and cooked longer as i couldnt eat them . Apart from that we enjoyed our take out

Booking the takeaway slot was straightforward and staff I spoke to were friendly and helpful. However, the food was disappointing. I had the ‘deluxe’ burger and fries. Both lacked seasoning. The ‘blue vein’ version was apparently a bit tastier.

Always outstanding quality food and service.
As it was a takeaway, the food was all wrapped and boxed. It stayed hot for the journey home (15mins), and when we served it up!
