Bad service. Food was luke warm at best
The food and service were great. It’s a fun place to go with friends, but probably not good for kids. It gets loud inside. We sat outside and it was nice with the heating lamps.
First time here and really enjoyed the small plates. We shared so many tasty dishes and being gluten sensitive, I had many choices to partake in. Great location in DC and has a chic vibe.
Zaytinya is excellent in everyway. Will definitely be back.
The service and food are always great. The noise level is just terrible. It was difficult to even hear our waiter! Thinking that vaulted ceiling could be designed with some noise reduction materials. It was impossible to hear my companion, however I had no problem hearing my neighbor 16 in. away. Made for a very disappointing dinner experience.
Delicious small plates!! Sat on the patio on this beautiful evening. We loved everything we ordered. Can’t wait to return!!
Fantastic food and relaxed service!
Amazing experience and food! The plates were larger than tapas.
Service was slower than expected our waitress did not seem to be as attentive as would be desired.
Great food as always from a Jose Andres restaurant with delicious shareable tapas-style entrees at reasonable prices! The lemony chicken soup with soft poached egg was food for the soul. The happy hour also had a lot of great options!
I ordered a whole Lamb Shoulder and about 12 small plates to compliment the lamb and after waiting about 20 minutes the server comes over and say I’m sorry we don’t have anymore lamb shoulder. I said I thought you were supposed to check with the kitchen (per the menu) now you’ve already bought out the small plates so our meal is ruined. Anyway, there wasn’t any remorse for ruining our meal. The manager did come over and apologized but that wasn’t enough. We eat out 3/4 times a week. And spend at least $275-$325 each time. I’m saying that to say we go to nice restaurants and expect service and food to be if not great, then at least good. It was neither.

We were disappointed that your outdoor space was closed on a beautiful October day. But, as always, we enjoyed our lunch inside (except for the noise level). Yogurt soup and salad were outstanding....
The service was not great and the bathroom was a mess.
Food was terrific. Nice twist on classic middle eastern dishes. Service was excellent. Good recommendations and attentive. Pita bread was superb when hot. Very energetic noise level.
The food was very mediocre and the noise level was almost intolerable. Very disappointing!
Amazing food, excellent ambiance, reasonable price!!
Amazing meal. Octopus Santori and the Steak Harra were delicious, as was everything else.
Excellent food -get a few plates and try a bit of everything
My group of four went for brunch Sunday afternoon. We had good service but was a little slower to been seen at the beginning; this was not a problem though. The small plates came out staggered in a manner that allowed us to continually be presented with food without too many plates stacked on the table. All of the food was amazing, and so were the drinks. We will definitely return again in the future.
Great food and great service. Very attentive regarding gluten allergies.
Service was slow. Food came out at strange times. We received Brussel sprouts first with nothing else for a long time. Then the rest of the food came. Servers kept reaching across my face without saying excuse me to fill water. Servers would take plates that I was not finished eating.
Dinner was with business associates and our sponsor offered to treat us to a full chef’s favorites meal which made for an incredible dining experience. The server accommodated my vegetarian diet and the wine selected was a great pairing with the many mezze plates.
Healthy and delicious food. Great location by the National Portrait Gallery National Building Museum. Great value for lunch. $25.00 for 4 courses or a la carte menu. Loved my fresh salad, baba ganoush and the yogurt apricot dessert. Very modern and crisp , spacious atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating was available on our visit.
Zaytinya will never disappoint even though it is on the pricey side given the size of small dishes. Very good service and a rich wine list. Love it.
I enjoyed sitting on the patio because it was much quieter than inside which is extremely energetic and hard to speak over the noise level. The downside was that at the table next to us a rat ran under the customers’ feet and I the person screamed and it made us worried about putting our feet down.
Rogelio was terrific server! Food was delicious, as always. We love the place, will be back when we’re in town.
Great for a group!
Every time I am in DC I always come back here. The ambience is great and energetic. The food is always delicious. Lots of vegan options!
Really great service. Sat outside on a beautiful evening and had the chef’s tasting and wine pairing. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Food was outstanding; service excellent. This was our first visit, but we will definitely be back. Thank you!
Good food and friendly service.
Very good food and service, but a little too loud.
Zaytinya was a great dinner, and because we had our child with us it was quick too. Service was great, ambiance and energy were fresh and hip. The food was good, but not great. Not one dish gave me that, “I have to come back to eat this” feeling. The wine list is extensively Greek, Turkish, and Israeli. I have to confess my ignorance in these wine regions and don’t really know whether pricing matches true wine value.
Great selection of food, including lots of veggie options. Always consistently good food.
Love the ambience, service and food.
Excelente lugar, comimos delicioso de principio a fin, hagan espacio para el postre
Food was spectacular! Would absolutely recommend and return
Food presentation and taste were excellent. Service was , too. Thank you.
