Delicious small plates!! Sat on the patio on this beautiful evening. We loved everything we ordered. Can’t wait to return!!
Food was terrific. Nice twist on classic middle eastern dishes. Service was excellent. Good recommendations and attentive. Pita bread was superb when hot. Very energetic noise level.
The food was very mediocre and the noise level was almost intolerable. Very disappointing!
Amazing food, excellent ambiance, reasonable price!!
Amazing meal. Octopus Santori and the Steak Harra were delicious, as was everything else.
Excellent food -get a few plates and try a bit of everything
My group of four went for brunch Sunday afternoon. We had good service but was a little slower to been seen at the beginning; this was not a problem though. The small plates came out staggered in a manner that allowed us to continually be presented with food without too many plates stacked on the table. All of the food was amazing, and so were the drinks. We will definitely return again in the future.
Great food and great service. Very attentive regarding gluten allergies.
Service was slow. Food came out at strange times. We received Brussel sprouts first with nothing else for a long time. Then the rest of the food came. Servers kept reaching across my face without saying excuse me to fill water. Servers would take plates that I was not finished eating.
Dinner was with business associates and our sponsor offered to treat us to a full chef’s favorites meal which made for an incredible dining experience. The server accommodated my vegetarian diet and the wine selected was a great pairing with the many mezze plates.
Healthy and delicious food. Great location by the National Portrait Gallery National Building Museum. Great value for lunch. $25.00 for 4 courses or a la carte menu. Loved my fresh salad, baba ganoush and the yogurt apricot dessert. Very modern and crisp , spacious atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating was available on our visit.
Zaytinya will never disappoint even though it is on the pricey side given the size of small dishes. Very good service and a rich wine list. Love it.
I enjoyed sitting on the patio because it was much quieter than inside which is extremely energetic and hard to speak over the noise level. The downside was that at the table next to us a rat ran under the customers’ feet and I the person screamed and it made us worried about putting our feet down.
Rogelio was terrific server! Food was delicious, as always. We love the place, will be back when we’re in town.
Great for a group!
Every time I am in DC I always come back here. The ambience is great and energetic. The food is always delicious. Lots of vegan options!
Really great service. Sat outside on a beautiful evening and had the chef’s tasting and wine pairing. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Food was outstanding; service excellent. This was our first visit, but we will definitely be back. Thank you!
Good food and friendly service.
Very good food and service, but a little too loud.
Zaytinya was a great dinner, and because we had our child with us it was quick too. Service was great, ambiance and energy were fresh and hip. The food was good, but not great. Not one dish gave me that, “I have to come back to eat this” feeling. The wine list is extensively Greek, Turkish, and Israeli. I have to confess my ignorance in these wine regions and don’t really know whether pricing matches true wine value.
Great selection of food, including lots of veggie options. Always consistently good food.
Love the ambience, service and food.
Food was spectacular! Would absolutely recommend and return
Food presentation and taste were excellent. Service was , too. Thank you.
This was a really wonderful experience. There’s a relaxed outdoor seating area, equipt with hearing that would allow comfort even on chilly nights. The inside is a little more formal. It’s perfect for an office lunch or a date night! And the food was easily the best I’ve had in a really long time. As if that’s not enough the staff was lovely!!
Food was excellent, with one exception -- the Halloumi, a kind of fried Lebanese cheese, was rubbery and not nearly up to the standard of the other dishes that we ordered.
Also, on the wine menu, there were two wines from the same vineyard at different price points. We ordered the less expensive (already about three times the retail cost of the wine), and tried to make sure the waitress understood which one we wanted. When the wine finally arrived, it was different vintage than the one I thought I had ordered, but the waitress assured me that it was the same wine, just a different vintage. Of course, when the bill came, it was the second, more expensive vintage, that we got charged for.
Superb drinks. The bar hit it out of the park with the salt foam topped margarita and the grapefruit take on Istanbul. Dinner was as good, recommend the Baba Ganousch (sp). Generous portion and the fresh pita kept coming.
Enjoyed every detail of this much anticipated meal
Special drink called Sidecar made with Greek Brandy
Spanakopita stuffed with copious amounts of spinach and feta
The most lush Avgolemeno soup with a poached egg
Pita was puffy and hot with hummus
Chicken and Salmon dishes were seasoned well
Walnut ice cream dessert and coffee were the perfect finish
Great food.. only one waiter to serve 10 tables.. several time he bring us the check before we got our plates.
It Just to be a great place to visit when I visit D.C .
Good as always
We were party of 9 adults. Went for brunch but service was more than terrible. Our waitress didn’t bother to come our table so we had to follow her. When we tried to order or ask about our dishes she said please don’t disturb me in front of my customers. Whatttt? Then do your job properly. Food was terrific but not worth with that service. We ate our breakfast without coffee and tea. Because of they were running out of pots.
Great place for food in DC. Great for dates or groups.
Absolutely delicious! Loved everything we ordered. Super fun environment. Loved it!
Food and service were outstanding. It was a beautiful night so we sat outside. Inside it was noisy. That would have been my only complaint if we had sat inside. It was a packed Saturday right before the Wash Capitals game.
Way too loud!!! But the food and service are outstanding!
Perfect, manager very nice, professional
Great food and service! The Kebbeh Nayeh was amazing!
Had higher expectations based on the reviews. We ordered many appetizers for over $100 and frankly nothing tasted authentic. Portions are small and overpriced but lacked quality. Natural spices, olive oil, lemon, garlic, sumac, etc were all added in tiny quantities to each mezze, giving a dry and cheap taste. Deficient would be a good word description for a concept comes close to authenticity but doesn’t quite get there.
IT IS A VERY FANCY AND EXOTIC RESTAURANTS. MANY FLAVOURS TO ENJOY. I DEFINETELY RECOMMEND DIFFERENT OPTIONS TO SHARE .
