Great food and friendly staff.
Amazing food and service!!
I’m from Russia and from previous experiences of Russian dining in the UK I have been disappointed, but the food at Zima is very authentic and brings back fond memories of my childhood.
I was very disappointed. I went there only for to try shisha but it was awful without any taste and smell only steam.
Love the cooking, service, surroundings. Zima is incredible cooking
Very lovely food. Borsch excellent. Vodka beautiful. Honey cake great.
My only note would be that there was not enough seasoning (salt) in the broth for the pelmeni and in the chicken blini. Just more salt would have brought out more flavour.
Otherwise excellent thank you
The service is a bit slow, food is ok but nothing outstanding.
I really enjoyed visiting Zima! There is so much to choose from on the menu; I particularly loved their Olivier Salad and the seafood pelmeni I ordered. The ambience and decor is gorgeous too, I loved the framed soviet posters on the wall especially. I visited on a Sunday night and it was busy and the atmosphere was thusly very warm and energetic :3 I came alone, and the staff made me feel very welcome despite that so I appreciate it! Also, order the Sea Buckthorn tea! It's got an amazing taste and colour :3
Excellent service, very helpful staff, very good food. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
I took my boyfriend to try Russian food for the first and he loved every dish! Everything was absolutely delicious, we can't wait to come back soon to try more dishes.
The welcome was warm, service impeccable, food excellent, ambience ideal and overall thoroughly enjoyable.
We loved the food and the staff was very nice and polite. Def recommend)))
Nice restaurant, good food, amazing service. Will come again
Amazing food, brilliant service. Everything was just wonderful:)))
tasteless, poor, without imagination. cheaply. any housewife cooks tastier
This is our favorite restaurant in London because they serve very delicious Russian meals.
Delicious dumplings - a great little place, nice and quiet for an intimate meal with great food
Food was good, service ruined our visit. Not a very welcoming place
Good food, good service, good drinks, we'll come back!
Great food, awesome drinks and you can’t fault the location (in the heart of london). Waitresses were brilliant and funny.
Booked a table on a terrace for shisha , hardly any space as people were sat extremely Close to one another . Ordered shisha and a bottle of Prosecco between 3 people , as soon as shisha has arrived we told staff that something was wrong with it as it tasted harsh . Even after the staff member ‘fixed ‘ the shisha it still
Didn’t taste right . As soemone who smokes shisha on a regular basis I know that how it should taste and explained this to the staff. The staff who spoke Moldovan said something to the gentleman next to us and laughed . They then explained that staff made a comment about it being too ‘harsh’ for us because we were women . The shisha still didn’t taste right but it because smoother so I smoked it , the gentlemen sat at the table next to us let us have their shisha as ours
Was so bad so my friend accepted it and proceeded to smoke it whilst I smoked the one we had ordered . We ordered a bottle of Prosecco but I only
Had two sips and the shisha was making me feel unwell . I was unwell in the bathroom and made staff aware . Staff were not helpful and did not even offer me a glass of water . I went home and proceeds to be sick , I email zima complaining about the shisha . The reply I had received was extremely
unprofessional . Manager stated that I felt sick because I had drank alcohol ( even though I explained I had two sips only as I felt
Unwell due to shisha ). They then said this was due to nicotine , I explained that I smoke shisha on a regular basis and have never felt
This way . The manager continued
To be rude and patronising . Never again will I step foot into this place . There are places which do exceptional shisha such as Syon lounge, Cierlo and many others .
Dear Veronica, Thank you for your review. As already mentioned to you via email, FB and IG messages - you feeling unwell was a result of nicotine poisoning. Consumption of alcohol and tobacco comes at the risk of the user. Part of rules of Shisha Lounge clearly states: Smoking Kills. We are not responsible for any health damage smoking might cause. When entering and ordering at ZIMA Shisha Lounge you agree to the rules stated and displayed at the entrance. Hope you are feeling better now.
Great authentic Russian food almost same as you find in Russia but with local ingredients
Busy place in a great location. we we persuaded to be adventurous and try the more Russian food which was ok but not really for us. The items we missed out on looked stunning(Chicken Kiev and Beef Stroganoff). The Borsch was really good but the various dumplings we tried didn't hit the spot but I'm glad we tried them. Staff were great and I would go back again.
The shisha space is amazing
Good food, delicious vodka and not too expensive for central London.
Had a dinner with my wife. We are very familiar with Russian/Eastern European cuisine - we are originally from there. We were looking for this dinner. But Food was frankly underwhelming.. pelmeni and vareniki were made of thick dough.. herring was not really tasty. It was not “bad”, but we didn’t enjoy it (at all). Service was great. Interior and location as well. Overhyped.
I wanted to try this restaurant for some time and very pleased we did. Fantastic food and service. Considerable menu, plenty of choices and very good value. Good wine list and vodka options. Highly recommend and will return.
The food here is fantastic and there's a lovely atmosphere. Our only criticism was that the vodka bar downstairs is a little dingy and scruffy in comparison to the restaurant, which seems a shame, and the music very loud and also not very tasteful! If the vodka bar was a continuation of the restaurant I would frequent it often!
It was my 3rd visit and they always deliver. Food, drinks and service and amazing. I would highly recommend this place.
Food was very average, and didnt come out hot enough either. Honestly expected better.
Good experience visiting Zima. Second time here and quite impressive. Feels authentic and our waitress Nastya helped elevate the experience even further. Definitely recommend to other fellow Russians to get a feel for being at home, and those who want to discover the flavours of the count et for the first time.
Delicious food and nice hookah
Food was excellent but the service was a bit disappointed, slow and lack of attention to the customers
I had shisha and it was great, great vibe and music in the shisha section plus service was great and pleasant. Prices for food are a bit on the higher level but it’s central London so it’s expected.
I booked a table for my boyfriend’s birthday dinner. Staff very friendly, amazing food. We got a cake with “happy birthday”, they sang happy birthday and that was very nice surprise for us!
Thanks again for making this evening so good, Will be back to try more food!
The food is very tasty! Definitely will visit again
Excellent food and service, nice place in the centre of Soho
Great Russian atmosphere! The food is beyond delicious and the music was on point :)
Excellent, food and drink was delicious, the only set back was that the service (although friendly and attentive) was a little slow.
Great food. Amazing atmosphere and really nice service :)
Great place for our family meal - good atmosphere, delicious food, friendly staff.
