The food was delicious! The owner and his father were as friendly and welcoming as can be. Cute little neighborhood restaurant
Excellent service and food
We can not recommend Zolo’s Italian restaurant enough. Both of our teenage daughters gave it a 10/10. Service and food were excellent. We were made to feel like family as soon as we entered the restaurant. We will go to Zolo’s again when we’re back in the area.
One of our orders was a little heavy on the cheese involved and they took that off our bill. That was a really nice gesture. Our favorite place to eat in Franklin.
Service was really good. We had good Italian wine and the food hit the spot! The bread is omg!!! Thank you
Delicious food and service, we’ll definitely be back!
The food was fantastic and everyone was very attentive. I will definitely come back to this place, it is now one of my favorites in Franklin.
Our experience was not a good one.
We had a wonderful experience for our anniversary. The Valplicella Ripasso wine was a perfect accompliment to the dinner. We had the Crab baked ravioli & shrimp and scallop carbonara and the flat bread for an appitizer. It was a fantastic meal. We live in Hendersonville and the drive was worth it!
Great service, great food, great ambiance. Even with a little hiccup with our order, it doesn’t matter because they were so hospitable you would believe you were at someone’s home. Definitely will be back!
Food was average. The Caesar salad was tasteless. Needs to up its game.
Great neighborhood restaurant with authentic Italian dishes.
This restaurant is set up for OpenTable and is CLOSED. We drove 30 minutes into Franklin to celebrate my husbands birthday only to be disappointed. I will not set up a reservation online again.
This restaurant is closed. We had a confirmed reservation, drove 40 minutes to celebrate a birthday only to find the restaurant closed. Should have taken themselves off of open table. Very disappointing
We showed up for our reservation and the restaurant was closed
We had a wonderful evening out in Franklin, beginning with the delicious dinner at Zolos. Thank you!
Terrible experience. We showed up 15 minutes early to our 6 o’clock reservation for 3. We were told to come back close to 6 as the hostess rolled her eyes. The issue with this was the place was not busy. There were several tables open. I should have known to not come back at 6 based on that greeting. However we thought maybe it’s just the hostess. Well it was the whole experience that was absolutely disappointing. The service was extremely slow. We proceeded to order and everything was piece meal service. Water dropped off after a few minutes. Server disappeared for a bit and then came back to ask if we wanted any other drinks. We ordered and again disappeared for a while. We finally ordered and server came back on a couple of occasions telling us they didn’t have the menu items we ordered. We ordered other items. Then our server disappeared for a long time. I had to flag her down and ask if we could get our food soon because we had another commitment at 8 pm. Apparently the kitchen hadn’t even started our order. When we finally got our food it was mediocre at best. Very poor quality for 100 dollar dinner where my wife and daughter shared an entree. So really it was a dinner for 2 for 100 dollars and one drink each. I don’t mind paying for a nice dinner but when I can have a teenage boy or girl make same dish at home at much higher quality than what we received then I have a big problem with it. I debated tipping but I did anyway at 15%. I normally tip 22% or higher. Long story short I will NEVER be back to this poorest excuse of a restaurant in historic Franklin. Needs to move out and allow some other dining establishment to take its place that actually wants to deliver good service and quality of food to customers.
Our food was delicious! I recommend the fried artichoke for an appetizer. The Whitefish was really good too.
The food was just “OK”. Staff was friendly and attentive.
Best eggplant Parmesan I’ve ever had!
The facility is small and was very loud. The food was average at best. Too expensive for the quality of food. Unremarkable flavor for the pastas we ordered. On a positive note the server was very nice.
We celebrated my birthday here with my family, we had an earlier reservation, it got really busy and towards the end of our meal we were left looking for our server for about 15 minutes, the food was really good but the vegetarian options were slim. The kids enjoyed their food too. Parking was really rough in downtown Franklin but we will be back.
As always food was excellent and so was the service.
You leave satisfied after a scrumptious meal. Brian and staff are always consistent. A good place to relax and enjoy some peacefulness after a long day.
Thank you Jim!!
Great service and awesome food!
Food was excellent- great atmosphere. Service was a little slow
Visited for the 1st time for anniversary dinner and Zolos exceeded our expectations. Will definitely be a frequent customer. Regan our server was top notch.
Perfect local place that you feel good about supporting. Has that family-run feel that is harder abs harder to find in the midst of all the snazzy new hot spots that have popped up around town. Great service— good food. Hard to beat.
There were not enough servers to accommodate both inside and outside customers. Shortly after we got our salads/ appetizers, the meal came, and didn't have enough time to finish salads. Food recipes were extremely average. Skin left on salmon and not enough pasta/ sauce to make up for the lack of flavor. Lasagna was sweet (?), and Chicken Piccata was average. Some items shown on website weren't available. Overall, very disappointing.
One of my favorite spots!
Our experience with Zolo's last night was as exceptional as always. Personal and friendly greetings by hostess and waitress. The attention to the homemade dishes were outstanding. Zolo's in my opinion is a hidden gem in the heart of Franklin. Home owned and operated.
We had appetizer, salad, entrees and dessert. We had a couple of bites of our dessert and had it boxed to go. When we went to eat next day we saw green mold! Didn’t notice the night before because restaurant was dark. The entrees were overwhelmed with lemon, shrimp did not taste fresh and the scallops were not the normal shape of scallops. Really wanted to like our experience but will not be back.
The food was excellent and the young lady serving us was amazing. We will definitely go back time and time again.
Unfortunately, I followed through with my plan to return on July 10th and made my reservation directly with the restaurant by phone five or more days in advance. Upon arrival with my group of five from Murfreesboro (40 min drive) and Clarksville (1hr 30 min drive), they had no record of my reservation. We ended up eating at the nearest restaurant that had room. Needless to say I wasn’t pleased with settling for a burger.
Make your reservations with open table in lieu of calling the restaurant directly.
It was fine. Pricey for ok italiab
Simply the best in town! Chef Brian creates a beautiful presentation that is tasty, delicious and so wonderful! We love Zolos!
Thank you! It's always my pleasure.
We were there with friends, 3 of the 4 dinners were not even warm, which were sent back to the kitchen, french onion soup was served cold, including the bowl. Service was very slow, my husband returned the soup to the kitchen himself.
We will not return.
I’m not sure how they have 4.5 stars. The food was expensive and not good. The sauce on each of our meals seemed to be the same sauce even though it was described completely differently. The pasta was over cooked and the sauce was gluey. They forgot to bring our salad also. For the price we expected much better quality food.
