Zonzo restaurant is a bit of true Italia right in London. Here’s some friendly advice – only come to Zonzo if you’re ready for a superb Italian experience in a family-style setting at a price that won’t upset your pocket. The stucco walls, wooden seating, Sicilian mural, and authentically warm welcome all set the tone for pure enjoyment. Signature dishes include Napoleonic pizzas from the wood-fired oven and the myriad pastas, especially the tagliatelle and the lasagne Zonzo style. The regional Italian wines match the vibrant flavours perfectly.

Zonzo Ratings and Reviews
I've passed the restaurant every day on my way to work, and I don't know why I haven't tried their food sooner! After seeing a few odd reviews online, I cannot understand why they would say such a thing; that I had to write one myself. From the moment I stepped inside to the final cheque, i can honestly say say Zonzo exceeded all expectations. The food was beyond delicious, the staff were attentive and friendly, and the service was exceptional. They did not let my glass stay empty for more than a minute, and the only thing i could see upon every staff's face was a smile, and nothing less. I got a warm Italian welcome, and the food took me right back to Florence. This has become one of my favourite restaurants, and I can't wait to take everyone i know there! It's the perfect place for a cute date night with your loved one, but sophisticated enough for a business meal. Definitely try the chicken burger, or the seafood Linguini- you won't be disappointed.
We found this place near our hotel (Hilton London Metropole) by following yelp reviews, and we weren't disappointed! The ambience is great -- small and cozy, with lovely wall decorations. The wait staff were very helpful, and the waiters brought homemade bread and fresh olives free each time we went. Both times we went, we ended up getting the same thing for the main meal (pizza for me, chicken for my husband) because it was so good, and then gorgeous desserts. Highly recommended especially: the panne cotta.
We were warmly received and well attended - cheerful and without fuss. Delicious olives, excellent prosciutto and I can honestly say that at Zonzo I ate the best ravioli I have ever eaten in my life - and I lived in Italy for three years. At £29 for a bottle the Vermentino was pricey but, I have to say, as good as you'll get anywhere. (Good general price-range for wines.) Excellent coffee.
It was a special occasion and we had a splendid time.
You should go!
Very nice and cozy restaurant : we enjoy antipasto to share (huge portion) and a very tasty Gorgonzola ribeye as a main. We had red wine Amarone And was superb . Amazing the service received from Marco Italian waiter. Recommended . Definitely we will come back .
We arrived early but the restaurant soon filled up, we had a 3 course meal, garlic prawns for starter which were nice but could have bn a bit more tastier & flavoursome, my husband ordered the chicken penne pasta but unfortunately sent it back as the chicken chunks put him off but there was no taste to it at all. My meal tho was beautiful ricotta & spinach ravioli. The staff & service you cannot fault very welcoming & friendly.
I would definitely recommend 😉
Booked a dinner for two here and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We tried their pasta seafood dish which is just delicious and one of their wood oven pizza which was like no pizza i've tasted. Full of flavour and just an outstanding quality of food (their pasta is also homemade). The staff were also super friendly and made us feel so welcomed and looked after. This restaurant made us feel like we were in Italy. We will definitely be returning to try more dishes.
Went here for lunch with my partner and I must say I am going again very soon. It hit the mark from the get go with the complimentary bread and olives while we waited for the starter. They had a great set of gluten free option which I ended up ordering from due to being allergic to gluten. It is rare to find an Italian restaurant that have a gluten free option. We was very well looked after by the friendly staff ensuring me and my partner have the best dining experience. Overall the food was great, some of the best authentic Italian dishes you will find outside of Italy.
We had the most amazing time at Zonzo. The staff were attentive and polite. The food was fresh and full of flavour. We ordered a fish platter as one of our main which was absolutely delicious and fulfilling. Their pasta dishes are also to die for. They have a good wine list to choose from and also serve some delightful signature cocktails. When it came to dessert we were all full but couldn't resist trying the tiramisu which was home-made and yummy. All I can say is , this place does not disappoint. will definitely be returning soon.
This is a charming Italian restaurant. We found the staff to be caring and attentive. When we arrived our table was in a far corner of the restaurant very close to anther table. It would have been ok but when another table opened, they offered to relocate us and did so graciously.
The food was very good and the portions were most generous, both appetizers and entrees. Had we not been staying in a nearby hotel we would have taken the remaining portions with us.
Service was attentive. The pace was relaxing and enjoyable. We interacted with several of the staff and all were most personable.
Should I ever return to London, this restaurant would be on my list to visit again.
The food was simply gorgeous. We went on a Sunday evening not knowing what to expect but attracted by the 50% off food offer we got from the London Life website. We were not disappointed (even on a Sunday there were only a few tables empty)! My partner even went as far as to say the best Italian food he's ever had, and I'd agree. We had mussels and garlic bread (separate dishes) to start, followed by two pasta dishes, wine and cocktails. The bill, including £7 tip, came to around £50 - amazing value especially for central London. The waiting staff were very attentive and friendly. It's nice and open plan so you can see the chef cooking your food and see the bar staff making your drinks. It's small inside but that gives it a wonderful cosy, homely and rustic feel - it's a good place for dates, but I'd also love to bring my family to enjoy the atmosphere (and food) too. The waiter even gave us a free shot at the end as he thought we were 'nice people', which made our night! :) 10/10 Zonzo and we will see you when we are next in London!
Our meal here was amazing, the pizza was delicious and although the value isn't great, for lindon it was pretty good.
The restaurant is small, cosy atmosphere and the service was fantastic, although the restaurant was pretty empty at the time of our visit since it was close to closing. The staff we lovely, and I would reccommend this againin a heartbeat.
We had two courses there. The starters were amazing, lots of options. For the main course however, we had steak which wasn't as good as i expected. it is mainly because of the source they put on the steak - it would be better if they leave out the source separately so that the customer can choose whether to put it on top of the steak or not. The source was just too strong for me and there were a lot which affected the taste of the steak....
We've lived in London for 6 years and so far this is the best Italian restaurant we've tried. It doesn't look much from the outside (located on one of the least attractive parts of Edgeware Road, surrounded by Chicken Cottage etc) but once inside it's absolutely perfect. The food is delicious, the service is attentive, the attention to detail is great (e.g. wine is decanted at the table) and the prices are more than reasonable. Can't wait to go back!
I needed somewhere central to meet up with some friends, and Edgeware Rd was the place. This amazing little Italian restaurant was perfect as we were offered a seat that was right next to the front windows which had been opened to form an open dining area, and considering the day was close to 20C, it was perfect!
The service was perfect, our waiter and even the owner came by regularly to make sure everything was OK and to see if we needed anything else.
The food was cooked superbly! Flavoursome, simple, and outstandingly delicious, I'm almost certain that I will go back!
Well Done Zonzo!
We were in the area and decided to pop in for a quick lunch at Zonzo - which we booked via TobTable only ten minutes before arriving. We had another great meal there - I am a regular visitor to the restaurant, but my girlfriend had not been before, but she enjoyed it.
Following a previous visit to Zonzo with these two old friends of mine, it was decided to go here again - a testament to my original endorsement as I have frequented this restaurant several times over the years. Yet again, it did not disappoint. Two of us had a duck main dish that was on the Specials menu and we both thought it was fantastic.
