Excellent service and great food, myself and my two friends had a great time catching up. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and we all enjoyed a main and a dessert. Would recommend happily!
Had a very good pizza here so went back a few days later with a group of 12 people. We had various starters, main courses and desserts. Food was very good, wines also, service was ok but a little stressed. All in all, a very friendly local Italian restaurant, you can see and feel that the the food is made with a lot of care!
Good food with fresh ingredients and overall great option for Italian food lovers.
Service could be better.
An excellent find. The resteraunt is a little jewel in what is a normal busy high street setting. Close to Paddington Main line and Edheware tube stop 2 minutes away.
Nicely decorated and fitted out. Big pizza oven etc.
Great food, excellent value. Friendly, attentive service.
Lovely, friendly service. Tasty food. Good drinks options.
Disappointed that reservations were not made available, despite reserving a table few days ahead. Welcoming staff were annoying, if I'm honest stitting arrangement is too compacted.
Ederly gentleman that served meal was the only staff who cared about customers.
Tim was outstanding and took care of 6 of us.
Food was amazing, staff brilliant. Our business lunch went very well.
They went out of their way to help us celebrate our anniversary. They couldn’t have been more accommodating.
Good gnocchi, good wine, lovely staff
First meal when we arrived in London. Boys loved the pizzas and garlic bread, husband's gluten-free pizza was delicious and my risotto was wonderful. They even insisted on giving us a slice of gif cheesecake for dessert
The home made Lasagne was complemented with a creamy tomato sauce, well worth trying. A comfortable and relaxing atmosphere with friendly service.
I went for the gluten free pasta. It was incredible! It had a great ambience. It allowed for great conversation and enjoyable food
This was a second visit. The first, a year ago, was memorable for how bright and cheerful the restaurant was, with young cheerful staff and very good food. So we went back, but were disappointed. The food was no better than ok, the service was slow, gone were the cheery young waitresses to be replaced by older staff who could barely raise a smile, and the lighting was so poor it was almost dark at the back when we left.
Disappointing. Pizzas made with very cheap ingredients and some of the worst wine I have tasted for £25 a bottle. Situated in an unpleasant area with staff who were rude at times. Saved only by the cammoraderie of other customers
great food but whats the point of booking through you and wanting an hour for a table ,service slow as so busy but food excellent
Night before marathon . Me and my family were down from sheffield staying in a nearby hotel .
A number of major issues -1) they had lost our reservation and so had to squeeze us onto a tiny table 2) horrendous service - had to wait 10 Mins for a menu - over an hour for one simple starter (brischetta) 3) they lost the order for our mains and so we then had to wait a further hour for our second course 4) at no point was there an apology or acknowledgement of the issues. We refused to pay the 12.5% service charge - all they did was give us one free bottle of water to take away. A dire experience , although the food (when it came) was ok
Great service in a great environment
Excellent service et très bon qualité des mets.
Lovely to visit a restaurant with plenty of options for meat lovers which also spoils the vegetarians for choice - husband happy, me happy, neither of us had to compromise. Proper table linen and excellent service too.
Where do I start... Myself and my partner booked Zonzo based on the menu and pictures on the website. What a mistake that was. From the moment we got there the entire experience was a disaster. Firstly, on arrival after booking through Open Table they appeared to not have any record of this and after showing the hostess my booking confirmation we were asked to wait for a table to become available. Once seated we were in what can only be the smallest corner in the restaurant. We may as well of been on a group date with the couple next to us as we were sitting shoulder to shoulder with them. The food tasted as if it had been microwaved and was disgusting and the service was appalling. Zonzo is so over priced it is outrageous. For 2 basic starters, mains and 1 drink each it was nearly £200 (of which service charge of 12.5% is not optional). If you are looking for a nice Italian, this is NOT the place to go. If anything, I wish I didn't pay for this experience and would hope no one else does.
Although the dress code is apparently business casual, most were very casual. Very few tables for 2, and although empty the owner wanted to seat us at the back rather than with a window view so it felt like it's purely a money maker rather than a fine dining restaurant. It was nice but removing some of the tables to make the place feel more intimate would definitely be recommended.
We enjoyed this meal very much. Food was lovely and staff very friendly.
Celebrating two family members birthdays wi5 a lovely lunch just before Christmas.
Great food, friendly staff and good value for money.
Will certainly be returning.
As always, great Italian food and wine and impecable service.
Very good service and a warm welcome.
Had our Xmas party here, food was good, service good and not too pricey for central London. Had an enjoyable evening.
Staff and service were fabulous. So friendly and accommodating.
My problem was I am celiac and can’t eat gluten. They had a gluten free menu but it wasn’t gluten free entirely. They checked everything with the chef but the kitchen is small so I think cross contamination happened. If u r not gluten free this is an excellent restaurant to go to.
I went here for lunch with my mother
Nice local feel restaurant with good food and friendly service
Portion sizes are very generous and food was good
Not that busy and more of a family restaurant vibe that anything else but very pleasant
Absolutely delicious food - I had the gnocchi and it was by far the best I’ve ever had! I came with 3 friends for a reunion and it was just perfect! Great service and the staff were excellent - would 100% recommend a visit here
I was dining by myself so they gave me a nice private table. The waiter was very attentive without being overbearing. The calamari was good but the mushroom risotto was outstanding.
This was a great experience! Authentic Italian food and great wine list. Exellent service - attentive but allowed us to take three hours over the meal. I look forward to going back.
Great service, great food and reasonably priced!! We were made to feel very welcome upon entering. The atmosphere was very relaxed and had a nice family feel. The food was delicious and portions were very generous.
Food overall very good, service, too. But we waited an hour for the appetizer.
Excellent friendly service, great food (best spaghetti bol I've had outside Italy) and good value. So good we returned the next evening to explore the menu again
The food at Zonzo was ok. It wasn't great but it also wasn't the worst I've had. I expected more since it claims to be authentic Italian cuisine. There was only one cook and it took a very long time to receive our food. We were the only customers there on a Thursday night and it seemed that carry out/delivery orders were being cooked first. Once we received our food many of the pasta dishes needed seasoning. The chicken and salmon were both pretty good though. It was a decent evening out but I likely will not go back to Zonzo on my next trip to London.
I've passed the restaurant every day on my way to work, and I don't know why I haven't tried their food sooner! After seeing a few odd reviews online, I cannot understand why they would say such a thing; that I had to write one myself. From the moment I stepped inside to the final cheque, i can honestly say say Zonzo exceeded all expectations. The food was beyond delicious, the staff were attentive and friendly, and the service was exceptional. They did not let my glass stay empty for more than a minute, and the only thing i could see upon every staff's face was a smile, and nothing less. I got a warm Italian welcome, and the food took me right back to Florence. This has become one of my favourite restaurants, and I can't wait to take everyone i know there! It's the perfect place for a cute date night with your loved one, but sophisticated enough for a business meal. Definitely try the chicken burger, or the seafood Linguini- you won't be disappointed.
Based on reviews by other people I thought this would be a relatively good value place to eat near where I was staying.... but I couldn't be have been more wrong, everything was poor about the experience. It took about 10 minutes to get a drink, before they even took the order. The food was just packed with huge lumps of garlic, to presumably disguise the fact that the chef had no idea what he was doing. Further to this, I then had to virtually wave a waitress down to get another drink after sitting there parched for what felt like an eternity. Then to top it all off I had to put up with a fat, balding German/Dutch man watching me take every bite of my meal. If you like poor service, food that has been laced with garlic, and a strange ambience this is the place for you.
We found this place near our hotel (Hilton London Metropole) by following yelp reviews, and we weren't disappointed! The ambience is great -- small and cozy, with lovely wall decorations. The wait staff were very helpful, and the waiters brought homemade bread and fresh olives free each time we went. Both times we went, we ended up getting the same thing for the main meal (pizza for me, chicken for my husband) because it was so good, and then gorgeous desserts. Highly recommended especially: the panne cotta.
