This was a birthday lunch. Very pleasant service. Enjoyed the food as usual and were delighted to receive chocolates as a birthday treat from Rabot.
Courses with a cacao twist. Service just right-pleasant without being OTT. Balcony offered hot spots and cooler areas and given opportunity to select own seating to suit.
Very limited menu
Poor vegetarian option
Best thing white potato mash
The food is fantastic and the ambience is perfect. Service from everybody was top class and Fabio stood out. He was funny, chatty and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. He's a credit to the restaurant and the company!
We had a wonderful time. The food was some of the best I’ve ever had and the staff and atmosphere were delightful.
I've now been here twice and the food is absolutely gorgeous - both to eat and to look at! The service is always superb!
Great for numerous dietary requirements (I am dairy free and it's so nice to have so many options, especially for dessert)
They also make an effort if you book noting a special occasion which I wasn't expecting and was a nice touch when I took a friend here for her birthday.
Excellent food and very good service. Cannot really ask for anything more!
This was our 2nd time here. Went on New Year’s Eve. Was a lovely meal, well presented and we had a very attentative waiter. Sat inside, was less noise from the trains. Was nice atmosphere and had just the right amount of time between courses to chat amongst the three of us. Will definitely be going again.
Great food and great service. Our table of 4 all tried different items from the menu and were delighted by the flavours.
Conveyer belt style service, cocktails arrived after starters, one starter was freezing, jug of sauce served with main was freezing. We were in and out within an hour.
Manager deducted charge for cocktails and the cold starter which was a nice gesture but not enough for us to consider a return visit.
Excellent service. The food is amazing and their hot chocolates are incredible! Thank you for this amazing experience with my family.
Delicious food and great wine list.
Might found a bit pricey for some dishes, but a great restaurant overall.
Breakfast on a weekday isn’t served in the restaurant. Instead you eat it in the “cafe” (i.e. shop).
Inattentive staff provide a level of disinterested service like one might receive in a poorly functioning Wimpy in a depressed coastal town.
Portions small compared to other breakfasts in the area.
Avoid for business meetings and breakfasts.
We had accidentally booked a time slot of afternoon tea but wanted an earlier dinner. The staff were very welcoming and suggested as there was only half an hour til the kitchen opened thay we have a drink until we could order. The food was well worth the wait.
Interesting and tasty food made for a fun evening. Some things more chocolatey than others but an exciting array of different flavours. The cocktails were also very nice. Would recommend to any chocolate lovers looking for something a bit different.
I had a meal with some friends to celebrate Christmas. The food was great and so was the service.
Great value for money! Friends met for a lovely evening for a pre Christmas get together. Great ambience and delicious food. One of my favourite restaurants ever!
Great food, wonderful service from staff. I ordered the lamb dish. Was amazing! Maybe little bit more would be nice.
Great food and service ! I enjoyed the whole chocolate theme of the menu and it felt very festive given the time of year.
The food was superb, the staff wonderful and the atmosphere really warm and happy - especially on a cold Saturday afternoon. Simply divine - thank you Rabot1745!
Have eaten there a number of times prior - this time the food was very poor- ordered the fish stew - only had one very small prawn - couple of fillets of pan fried fish- one scallop
Delightful, utterly delicious, each course.
Such surprising flavour accents from the use of the cocoa bean.
From the riotous bar downstairs, to the calmer upper restaurant, the evening was a delight.
We visited one lunchtime during the pre-Christmas period, there were several office parties, however we still received excellent service, and the food was delicious.
A menu with an unusual twist using chocolate in unexpected ways. Service was good but we were asked to move tables to accommodate a larger party who had requested to move inside as they were cold on the outside terrace. We readily agreed but were not even offered a complimentary coffee for the inconvenience.
A delicious afternoon tea, including some lovely original chocolatey touches. Very friendly staff and a great location next to Borough Market
A restaurant specialising in cocoa is alway a good thing and Rabot 1745 puts their knowledge to good use.
The food was delicious and the service (from Marco) was excellent.
Unusual cuisine (which is rare in London) and relaxed.
Perfect for a relaxed night out.
our visit was fantastic food was out of this world compliment's s to the chef we had the Christmas menu the beef just melted in the mouth white chocolate mash amazing a must try.
service was very good waitress very knowledgeable and we met some wonderful people that were sat on nearby tables cannot wait to go back
Not only is the food amazing, but it's creative, there are options for every diet kind, it's well priced for the quality and location, the staff is friendly, but mainly CHOCOLATE. I've been here a few times now and keep coming back!
My friends and I ate at the restaurant on 8th December 2018.
We had The Rum Cured Salmon for starters which was nice. The Slowed-cooked Hereford Beef was really good especially with the White Chocolate Mash. One of my friends had the Plancha Seared Corish Hake, which she said was really good too.
We had the Crumbly Chocolate Pear for dessert, it was nice but a bit dry and the scope of cinnamon ice-cream served with it was nice but minuscule and not enough to go with the crumble.
The cocktails' were very good as usual, service was a tad slow considering it was not that busy.
We were planning to eat here in December 2018 but booked before 31.10.2018 as there was a promotion running that advised a free glass of prosecco would be offered if the booking was made before 31.10.2018. The staff claimed to know nothing about the promotion or such promotions previously, but advised that they would honor it if we had the email? I have eaten at Hotel Chocolat numerous times and I did not think I needed to provide proof of a promotion to be validated considering that we booked within the specified deadline. This was quite embarrassing as it felt as if we were trying to pull a fast one. I would suggest that in future when promotions are run that a code is applied to the booking and staff should be briefed to save customers the embarrassment of explaining and having to provide proof.
We had a meal which was tasty and interesting. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
Took my friend as a belated birthday meal, as we have both had lovely meals here before, and once again the food was outstanding! They were very busy, and service was a little slow, but that suited us.
Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food was fantastic - inventive but hearty and certainly delicious.
The staff were great - attentive and professional and were even flexible when we had to change our booking number which is rare at restaurants on a Saturday night in London!
We went there for Afternoon Tea on daughter's birthday. The food was delicious, the service was very good, attentive waiters. The Afternoon tea has many interesting flavours.
When I arrived I was told I could have any table that was free but then once I sat down I was ignored for about 10 minutes . I finally got the attention of a water but he told me he was not my waiter and to wait for his colleague. After another 10 minutes I got the hostess to get me a drink to nurse until my guest arrived. Once we met our actual waiter he was very good and the meal whilst a little bland , was served promptly and well.
Really nice atmosphere, service was great, food was really nice- only one fault, the goats cheese starter was a little dry, I think it could have done with a little more puree! Either that or i am definitely not sophisticated enough to enjoy it!
We went for my partners 30th birthday, so it was a special occaison! Was a really nice treat! Thank you Rabot team, made our evening very special! Will definitely recommend to my friends!
Very enjoyable food, service and selection of wines
My only adverse comment was some confusion on voucher codes and the available menu on these codes only being available for two of our party of four.
Will certainly come again
Fantastic dining experience. Toilets let it down, dark and dingy.
Excellent food and drinks, service good. Portion size fair and prices reasonable, a wonderful experience and worth the trip.
Probably would go back for an “occasion” but wonder why restaurant bar closed at ten? Needs to be open longer to enhance the experience, if that’s fixed then could be s perfect night out
Rabot 1745 had been one of my faves in London until this last visit. Found myself wondering if they had changed management. Food was nowhere near the standard I have come to expect, the service was poor, and we couldn’t even get our first, second or third choices from the bar as they were out of several key ingredients. Left feeling disappointed and like I’d paid far too much for the experience.
