Brilliant night from start to finish. Food service and atmosphere were excellent.
Had a lovely experience, food was lovely, staff were super friendly and all In all was a great time.
The last time we visited here we did not have time to eat so we just had drinks and we had a lovely afternoon on the terrace at Rabot 1745. This time we had 3 courses and the food was amazing (the desert to die for as you would expect from Hotel Chocolate). Special mention to our waiter Gabriella who was also very attentive, chatty and genuinely lovely, we will both be visiting again soon.
Excellent service and interesting and good food. The mash potato with white chocolate was incredible, as were all the desserts (and starters & mains....). Fun ambience, can eat either inside or on patio that looks out over Borough Market.
Decided to go to dinner here after having tried the bar with a friend recently. It was an underwhelming experience. Nothing majorly wrong with it but it seemed caught up in its own hype without bothering to deliver.
I’ve had better onion soup in cafe rouge. The lamb was nothing special for the price; sautéed spinach arrived as a bowl of soggy spinach. Though my friend enjoyed his mac n’cheese.
We shared some chocolates instead of having individual deserts.
I had some wine by the glass (merlot), again not great.
I really wanted to like this place. It was a bit of a treat and it just failed to deliver. The venue was nice and the staff were friendly and efficient. But I wouldn’t go back.
I used to like the restaurant, but our recent visit was a bit of disappointment. The food was cold. I asked for gluten-free bread, the bread was cold too. It was a shame as I told few overseas visitors here to impress them but I think everyone was disappointed.
A lovely restaurant in the heart of borough market. Arrived earlier than our booking but the staff were more than happy to accommodate.
We were sat down and were offered our drinks with the menu. Fabio was our host for the evening. Right from the get go he provided a warm and friendly experience. Some light humor and the right level of attentiveness left us really pleased.
The food was very unusual with the mix of chocolate bases. Surprisingly it worked. The food was beautifully put together and full of flavour. The savoury with a touch of sweetness.
A big thank you to the staff especially Fabio. You made our evening.
Absolutely amazing! Loved it! Rare occasion that my husband and I get to go out without the children. Was booked as my birthday treat. Amazing food, couldn’t fault it. Would have licked the plate if I could. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, wow food - couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate.
Lovely evening. The food and service were excellent. Staff very attentive, the presentation and quality of the food was outstanding. Would definitely dine here again.
excellent meal and booked as part of a buyagift experience with a view of the shard - the restaurant was outstanding and the food and service (thank you Cristian) 100%
have already recommended and friends have also booked vouchers to enjoy the experience we had - highly recomended
We dined here as part of a buyagift experience and so glad we chose this restaurant. The food and service were second to none, we loved every course and would definitely go back. Highly recommended!
Lovely service and delicious chocolate afternoon tea
Interesting menu, fabulous desserts. Great service.
I have dined at Rabot 1745 many times over the past year, dining at least once / month. The ground floor coffee shop remains excellent, especially their service, but the upstairs restaurant has been variable for the past few months. The menu is creative, but recent execution leaves a lot to be desired: meat cooked to bone dryness, slathered sauces, and bland seasoning make me hope that the kitchen gets its act together soon. Also note that construction surrounding makes dining on the patio noisy, especially for a business lunch (although no one can possible overhear you).
The food and service were excellent but unfortunately the whole atmosphere was very shabby. The tables were all marked with stains, there was a ragged curtain behind us half covering a service door, and the menus were crumpled. Really not what I expected and unfortunately I wouldn't choose to go back. The downstairs bar area looks really nice, though!
Excellent service and great food. Although the restaurant was fully booked the service was attentive and we did not at any stage feel rushed to leave. We were celebrating a family birthday and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
Had a lovely time and took part in the Bean to Bar Experience before our lunch. This enabled us to have a relaxing fun day at Rabot 1745. Look forward to going back with family.
A really interesting menu. Unfortunately our food was cold when it arrived but our waiter was absolutely fantastic at dealing with it and we soon had a great hot new meal and apology bacon side which i always love. the food was pretty tasty and a lovely selection of cocktails.
All in all a nice experience and cant wait to try more of the menu
Loved the smoothie bowl and the pancakes looked great too. Brilliant concept and will be returning.
Great cocktail to start in a lovely warm bar followed by a delicious meal in the restaurant. I had the superfood salad and spicy sweet potato wedges, both of which were delicious but not so much as the crispy chocolate marquise with ice cream nougatine that I ordered for dessert which was to die for. Would definitely like to come back here some time.
Tucked away upstairs in Borough Market is this delightful restaurant with perfect mood lighting and decor. The menu offered good choice even with a short menu. All 3 courses were beautifully presented with the stars being the halibut ceviche starter and the molten lava dessert. The main of lamb with the sauce was disappointing, lacked flavour but was ok to eat.
The hand soap and hand lotion in the bathrooms were fabulous and will look to purchase them.
I’ll definitely go back to sample more desserts, cocktails or try the hot chocolate.
Our group came here because we love chocolate especially craft chocolate, and the fact that most dishes were infused with cacao nibs or cacao extract was magnificent. Absolute best from the starters, to main dishes and desserts! Even the beer with cacao essence was really good. The restaurant had great ambience and the staff were really efficient, and polite and friendly. Kudos to everyone!
My husband and I had a lovely evening, the food was absolutely delicious and the service perfect. All in all we had a most enjoyable relaxed evening, we are recommending it to all our friends!
Second time here - excellent food, excellent and attentive service, superb cocktails. Given the menu and the quality of the food it is very reasonably priced for it's location.
Took my housemates for a celebratory dinner and was not disappointed.
Indoor/outdoor terrace looking over Borough market is particularly good.
Unfortunately one of the guest has a nut allergy and whilst the mains and deserts noted the allergies the starters didn't but it did list all of the ingredients or so we thought having chosen a starter after reading the ingredients when it came up it had nuts on the top which were not on menu, thought that this was very poor.
We had a lovely evening here celebrating my partners birthday food was mouth watering and staff were really friendly Thankyou for a lovely experience and memory
Wonderful lunch, the food was lovely, the surroundings were great - we sat on the terrace - and the service couldn't be faulted. We spent 2.5 hours chatting and eating and there was no pressure for us to leave
Not the most extensive menu but each dish is beautifully presented and tastes really good. We love sitting on the balcony overlooking Borough market but the overhead heaters get too hot and are difficult to adjust. However well worth the discomfort for the great dishes. Even the spinach side dish is perfectly executed. Wines, however, somewhat disappointing.
My boyfriend and I went for a meal and it was absolutely amazing the place was great and great atmosphere and the staff were fantastic so friendly and helpful and the food was absolutely fantastic I would highly recommend this place to anyone we will definitely be going back
Sehr gutes Essen, die Weinauswahl ist auch gut. Freundlicher Service.
What a disappointment. Food was measley, imaginative and very over priced. Service was terrible.
I enjoyed the meal (feta and leak parcels - delicious!), but my sister's chicken main course was cold. We asked for it to be microwaved but it took so long to get back that we assumed it had been cooked from fresh. When it arrived, it somewhat spoilt things as the other two of us had nearly finished. However, Rabot were good enough to give us the chicken for free.
Incidentally, the deserts were fabulous!
Great service unusual restaurant excellent food
Took my husband for his birthday, the food was lovely and the service was great. It was something a little different as all the dishes incorporated chocolate in some way. We had a great time.
Over attentive waiter made us feel our meal was a bit rushed as plates taken and glasses filled the very second you had finished eating or your glass was empty. Was asked too many times if everything was ok. It wasn't a pre theatre dinner it was a Friday night wind down and so it would have been nice to sit and chat and relax for longer between courses. Apart from that food is innovative and good quality.
Both food and service were very good. I appreciate that they have a quieter and more conversation-friendly upstairs restaurant paired with the lively bar space below, giving you options for different moods and occasions.
The chocolate elements for all dishes are interesting without being overwhelming. An unusual theme for a restaurant, well executed.
The meal started okay, but I was informed that a large party was arriving at 8:30 and we may have ot have pudding on the terrace, that fine, my guest was late but the party never arrived. The service was slack nad we waited quite a while for our drinks. They brought the wrong starter, okay they did not charge us but the kitchen was too busy to change it. They then ran out of their signature wine, fine it is very good. But then they had no chocolate port, we did get free port but this is the second freebie. All in all not good.
Fabulous meal in a great people-watching spot!
Cristian was a very friendly host and we definitely think he should get a chance to work in St Lucia - owners please take note!!
Would heartily recommend Rabot and will definitely return.
One of my favourite restaurants. I love the concept, and the food. Especially the terrace in the summer! Usually food is amazing, however this time the burger was over cooked. Everything else was really good, and I have dined here many times so I know this is a one off!
Great food and very good service. Good spot for dinner in London Bridge area
