On the menu: a unique blend of Anglo-Saint-Lucian cuisine; contemporary dishes influenced by the West Indies and Britain, with roasted cacao beans used as a subtle savoury spice and garnish – just as they had been in the centuries before chocolate was invented – as well as the rich, deep heart of desserts.

Pulled Pork Piton
The Pitons are two astonishingly symmetrical sea mountains in Saint Lucia. Rising above a rainforest canopy of foliage, they overlook our island hide-away and cocoa plantation. Here our pulled pork Pitonstyle is slow-cooked and tender in apple and potato with a crisp breadcrumb and cacao nib coating
Smashed Market bananas and cacao nibs in lieu of flour, for a more satisfying pancake. Lightened by yoghurt and cacao pulp sorbet. 70% dark chocolate sauce to drizzle. Tangy raspberry coulis
Mac & Cheese
London's best mac and cheese? You decide. A national treasure in the Caribbean, for ours we heighten the flavour with a hint of mushroom in creamy, melted mature Cheddar. So moreish, you'll want to eat the bowl which you can, it's puff pastry kneaded with cacao nibs. Served with a whirl of smoked paprika coleslaw
Simply stunning. The food was amazing, service was great, we had a wonderful time and can't wait to return.
Great setting (perfect undercover, heated, outside tables) and lovely service. The “chocolate in everything” approach to the menu is a bit wacky and not for everyone. I enjoyed everything but wouldn’t make it a regular stop.
This place is great - the setting is lovely on the mezzanine overlooking the market. The food is very different and done extremely well would definitely visit again
Excellent friendly service and delicious food. Good value for money too.
Fantastic meal! The best burger my partner has ever had. Chocolate heaven. Thank you so much for having us!
After seeing Ansley Harriet’s Caribbean Kitchen in which he visited Rabot in St Lucia. They cooked Chocolate mash!
I was so happy when they said there is a restaurant in London!
My friend and I visited and were not disappointed.
I highly recommend Rabot 1745
Great food, brilliant and friendly waiting staff. The staff give really good recommendations.
Great, espresso martini very good
We had a wonderful evening. Lovely menu with very imaginative flavours. The staff was lovely and arranged an earlier booking for us so we could have plenty time before curfew. A great evening overall I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the place and come back myself
Been here before few years ago so decided it was time for a re-visit.
As before, the food was superb and served beautifully.
Good choice of wines and other drinks too.
I did feel that the interior, although fine, was looking a little tired but that should not deter you from giving it a try if you haven't been before.
Overall, the food was amazing and if all elements of the booking were at this level, I would have given 5 stars.
I think what lets this place down is elements of the service.
On arrival, we had to queue on the stairs behind people who had no reservations and as a result we had to wait for about 10 minutes. When we reached the top, they took the reservation name and seated us outside on the terrace. I had specified at booking that we wanted to be seated inside. We decided to take the outside seating hoping it would be nice, but unfortunately it was freezing. We asked to be moved inside but were told that all tables were taken. We were moved to another table which was under a heater and a was a bit less exposed to wind which was an improvement.
However, I felt like we missed out on sitting inside as this was a meal for my birthday. This had been mentioned in the booking but there was no acknowledgment of it. It wasn't only colder outside but the noise from Borough market closing down took away from the ambience.
After this incident, our waiter was really attentive and tried to make the experience nice.
I think the food is what's best about this place. It was amazing. The bread with the dips, the pitons starter, the chicken, the mac n cheese, the sides of fries and mashed potatoes and the desserts were all great. Normally I can't do a 3 course meal but everything was nice and light and didn't make me feel as uncomfortable as other 3 course meals.
I really missed the white praline soother I had at the bar previously but my margarita was really nice too.
Overall, a good experience but I would definitely suggest to people that have booked inside to reinforce this when seated and not accept outside seating as it's unlikely to be allowed to change.
I was really impressed by Rabot 1745! The food was delicious and they were very good at catering for special diets. The service was also very good, particularly considering the new rule that they had to close by 10pm. Would highly recommend!
It was a lovely experience and would love to come back again please send me any offers that come up
Great selection on menu, with cacao in all the items.
Took my partner here for her birthday and it was brilliant. Service was outstanding and the food is creative and delicious.
Very cosy environment, we expected the food to have a slightly stronger taste in chocolate however was still yummy. The desserts definitely hit the chocolate spot.
lovely afternoon tea in a great location. not sure about chocolate spread with scones and clotted cream though!
The staff were unbelievable!!! Massive thanks to Alina for her help
Absolutely perfect. Best afternoon tea ever - service was impeccable. Thank you so much.
Great location and atmosphere but limited menu in my view
The Mac and cheese was to die for, as we’re the scallops. The beef was good just not as amazing as the rest of the food. The white chocolate mash was incredible too! Excellent, quick and friendly service. The outside area is quite nice! I’ll definitely visit again.
We came here for our anniversary and the food was wonderful. They even gave us shots for free on the pudding board with “happy anniversary” written on it. Staff were all very friendly and a good vibe all round.
Would definitely come back again.
Lovely setting and food. The service was excellent.
The perfect night out. Staff were courteous, quick and friendly, the food and drink were excellent and the atmosphere was perfect.
Unique concept of using cacao in almost everything that they make, with exceptional attention to detail in not only their food, but in the cocktails that they serve, as well. The ambiance is intimate, yet casual and relaxed, and the service is great.
Such a lovely meal with my family for my birthday, the staff were great and added a candle and birthday message to my dessert which was lovely. Food and service was amazing as always!
Great service and food. Always have an amazing time whenever I visit. Staff are always so helpful and friendly.
Very nice - our server Marco was fantastic and the food was really good.
Exceptional food ideas, absolutely delicious, excellent friendly service, quirky cool dining experience, cant wait to dine there again.
The starters weren’t good but the deserts were of a high standard
Been a few times now and love the simple yet sophisticated menu! To die for!!!!
Excellent experience overall. The unusual ingredients made the food different and delicious. There was a good break between courses and the food was nice and hot and well presented.
The service was extremely good, very friendly and helpful waiter.
We thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
Great food, delicious cocktails and excellent service. A very enjoyable experience all round!
Lovely location and friendly pleasant staff. But unfortunately not the best experience. One meal was brought out incorrect, two meals had hard boiled poached eggs, we sent one back and it came back borderline raw. The smoothie bowl was underwhelming, it would be perfectly fine as a smoothie but as a meal I would expect more than 4 raspberries and some coconut shavings on top.
Lovely place for a coffee but perhaps not full breakfast.
Booked a table here without knowing too much about the place - it was my girlfriends birthday and she’s a little obsessed with chocolate so took a chance... SO GLAD I DID! Everything was incredible, the extremely descriptive fun menu, the amazing cocktails, the exceptional waiter Marco and of course the food was just something else, everything had such a distinctive chocolate flavour without anything being too overpowering or tasting weird. They’ve nailed the whole experience and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a special night out in London!
We came here for our first dinner out in a while. The staff were very friendly attentive, the menus looked great and we were very happy with the choices. The white potatoe mash was to die for. Despite it being a slow time for restaraunts and it being quiet there was a nice atmosphere with the restaraunt being set in borough market and they seemed to take all precautions for health and hygeine purposes.
Overall would highly recommend for a nice date night or dinner out with a unique menu.
Felt very confident about safety. Tables were well spaced out and waiters wearing masks. The food was delicious, especially the molten chocolate lava cake! and very filling. Good value for money. Would certainly recommend
As always Rabot 1745 never fails to impress. It was so nice to be back there after so many months in lockdown and great to see all the staff.
Social distancing was in place and all the staff had the correct PPE. Well done.
One of the best meals I have ever had. The food was cooked to perfection and full of flavour. I could not recommend this establishment highly enough. I returned for afternoon tea the following day and was met with the same quality food I had experienced the evening before. The service and attentiveness was as good as the food. Thank you Rabot, you made the whole experience very special.
Perfect venue at the moment. Under the Borough Market roof if it rains, but you can sit on the terrace and get fresh air. Food and service great.
