The Rabot Terrace brings the Saint Lucian party spirit to London this summer! The open-air dining space is a free spirit just like a Saint Lucian ‘jump-up’. A relaxing island get-together for drinks, food and music outdoors after sunset. Please specify a terrace booking in the special request box.
At heart of London’s most exciting food market, Rabot 1745 offers a ‘cacao cuisine’ menu featuring contemporary dishes influenced by the West Indies and Britain, with the savoury richness of cacao used as a subtle garnish, infusion and spice throughout.
Rabot 1745 is a unique restaurant and bar, offering innovative cacao cuisine and the polished atmosphere of a Saint Lucian plantation house transported to the heart of London. A true cacao haven, it returns this ancient ingredient to its rightful place as an elegant infusion and subtle spice.View Private Dining Details
Pre show meal. Excellent service, allow 2 hours
Great afternoon T experience.
The coffee was delicious and our waiter was great but our pancakes were burnt ☹️
Very pleasant experience. Breakfast was very enjoyable.
Came and ate at Rabot on Valentine’s Day and had a lovely time! Service was friendly and welcoming, and the food was amazing!
Lovely little enchanted restaurant absolutely amazing food unique and tasty, service was brilliant friendly informative staff who were very attentive. The toilets were a very unique addition we have had the pleasure of visiting the beacon in St Lucia and the toilet acoustics were on point the added addition of Robot 1745 products are such a lovely addition.
We will be returning again soon.
Lovely desserts. Ok mains. Poor starters. The food all looks wonderful but in our opinion lacked flavour, and certainly didn’t live up to the descriptions and promise of the menu. The hints of chocolate throughout the menu were generally imperceptible and the food was not worth it’s price tag. Over £100 for a mediocre meal for two isn’t really acceptable in this day and age. Would not return. Will remain fans of Hotel Chocolat’s shops though.
Wonderful Valentines Lunch. Great service and food.
Went on Valentine's Day for lunch, originally we had booked inside as we felt it would be too cold for the terrace. When we arrived we were offered seats outside, these overlook the market. With the addition of parasols above the tables all with 4/5 heaters underneath it was really warm, we also had blankets but they weren't needed. We had our 4year old son with us and the staff were really nice fussing over him. We had a couple of cocktails, with much of the restaurant geared towards the chocolate theme these all tie in nicely (Rum based paired with chocolate etc). We ate the Chateaubriand sharer, this was very well cooked and came with sides of chips as well as Mac n Cheese . The portion size was just right for us, we also had a bottle of Merlot, which at £25 was decent. All in its as expensive as any other good London restaurant, you get something different being in the market and the chocolate theme doesn't ruin the experience was it's not over done. To finish my partner had the Molten chocolate dessert and they gave our son an array of chocolates on the house (Hotel Chocolat own the restaurant) which was a nice touch. The service from all was first rate from start to finish.
Fantastic restaurant - everything has cocoa in it somewhere but it works perfectly. Beautiful food, amazing desserts and lovely feel to the place. A gem of a place.
We had a wonderful meal, and will definitely come back! Only one tiny criticism: we would have preferred to finish our pre-dinner gin and tonics before the food was served.
The staff were very friendly but not overly intrusive
Unfortunately disappointed doesn't not even come close. We were so excited to discover that Hotel Chocolat had a restaurant and we could not wait to visit based solely on the fact that we adore your Chateau Chocolate Signature wine. Only when we arrived, after a 3 hour trip from Dorset, we were told that you had run out! Run out.....On a Saturday, this probably being your busiest day!
Having looked online, I see that you have no less than 30 outlets in the London area and the 1 restaurant you have had run out of their signature wine. We were offered another wine which was sold by the bottle only and much dearer.
I'm sorry to say we will not be returning.
Excellent food and service
Quirky outdoor area if you can put up with the train noise and market below
Fab location and very friendly staff. The food was tasty but a tad over priced.
Brilliant night out, stunning food with vegan and gluten free options. You can tell the chef takes pride in their work. Delicious food and delightful helpful staff, I will definitely be back!
Fabulous food and great atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Lovely, friendly and helpful staff. We had lunch there, which was very tasty but portions were small for the price.
First time we've dined in Rabot 1745.
It was a fabulous experience. Gabriela was very attentive and friendly.
Food was lovely. Perfect portions for 3 course meal
service was good with friendly pleasant staff the food was good but it was on the cold side which rather spoilt it
A very pleasant evening celebrating our son’s birthday. The service was excellent, very friendly and just the right amount of contact. The food was delicious and I surprised myself by ordering vegetarian choices for my starter and main. The desserts were divine and the views over Borough Market were great
Delicious food and attentive, friendly service would definitely go again.
Amazing food, service and overall experience! Perfect hot chocolate with dessert too! I will be back
Food was to die for. The chocolate fondant is the best!
Service was a little slow, at least 45mins before we ordered our food. It was difficult catching the waiter’s eye for drinks as there weren’t many of them! Then the dessert menu took at least 20minutes to get to us. The service we did have was good. Food was stunning.
The starter and main was delicious, I just found the desserts to be so rich! The jan set menu was such a great deal and we had a lovely night!! Definitely worth visiting!
We had a great evening despite a very noisy table of 12 next to us but in London don’t expect much less. The food was excellent although the description of bouillabaisse was a bit stretched. I have scored down service as there were two errors on the bill but these were corrected very quickly and customer services were prompt with reply. No hesitation in recommending though
Great atmosphere sitting outside with the patio heaters on overlooking the hustle and bustle of Borough Market. Great food and very attentive staff.
Faultless, friendly and incredible - enough said! We’ll be back, for sure!
I have had coffee downstairs before but this was my first time in the restaurant. Service was friendly and the food was well presented and good. They have a good rum collection and lots of rum cocktails. This is a place that has attention to detail and does lots of things well. They have a 2-hour time limit on tables but they allowed us to stay for longer. I would recommend.
Great restaurant. The food was delicious, staff exceptionally friendly and professional and great ambiance. Definitely worth a visit.
Fantastic from start to finish. It was my third time dining at Rabot 1745 and yet again it was a great experience! We had the set menu, but this isn’t like other set menus - there’s a broad choice of dishes and the portion sizes are generous and beautifully plated (and most importantly, really tasty!!).
Great, attentive service and a warm ambience too. Cannot recommend more highly. I’ll definitely be back!’
Excellent service and super friendly staff. The food exceeded expectations and was really good - I will be back there! Highly recommended!
Delicious, beautifully plated food. We had great service and I definitely want to go back
Wonderful friendly service
My friend was taken ill (nothing to do with the restaurant) and you couldn’t fault the assistance and service
Food was wonderfully presented and tasted great- shame we couldn’t get into dessert!
Food was lovely. Small portions but very tasty. Service was very good. Our seat was kind of squished in a corner, which wasn't great.
Birthday breakfast at Hotel Chocolat ,absolutely delicious food, good service lovely start to the day .
Great food, service and friendly attentive staff. I enjoyed it so much, I'm taking a friend for brunch next week. Just hoping for the same fabulous experience.
Really good service and attention from staff. Love the chocolate shops and now love the restaurant. Will be back!
We enjoyed our meal and the service was excellent, hopefully we will come back in the future.
Well worth the journey down from Lincolnshire for an evening out with friends from the U.S
Wonderful food and great service. We will be back!
