Like still being in lockdown still want track and trace. No music, everyone sat at tables still
Food wasn’t great, toilets had no loo roll in any of them…huge Q of women waiting…didn’t feel like you’re keeping on top of cleanliness….
Only had 30 minutes from being seated to last orders
So disappointed with our visit, the service was painfully slow and the drinks were extortionate. Didn’t feel there was any value at all. We ended up leaving after one drink, after coming down from Scotland and really looking forward to our visit.
We ordered a cocktail which came in a small glass with a huge ice cube, and when we lifted this out the glass wasn’t even half full.
Views were nice but not enough to make me want to go back and pay those prices.
intial greeting was very frosty and abrupt, reluctant to offer us table outside as other customers had ‘overlapped’ even though we had booked. Inital order taken quite quick but menu had limited cocktails and we were told “thry can do others” but not very clear what. we ordered the ribeye steak at£29. It came with literally 6 chips that were solid through. i asked for a fresh portion properly cooked that never came after waiting 20 minutes. Half the steak was cooked correctly, but half was raw. no one checked back or asked us for another round of drinks even though our glasses were empty. The view was not worth the money.
Good food, views and service, all ruined as for a good time you also need to NOT have drunk noisy people, craving attention, next to you.
Beautiful view especially outside. It s almost sad that we were not able to stay longer :)
Strict slots for the table, while being relatively slow with bringing orders. Beautiful place to watch sunset, overall not the most impressive view for the prices
- waiting for the dish too long (more than 35 minutes)
- mistake on the bill (more than 5 pounds too much)
- friendliness and availability of the waiter to be reviewed
Nice place just it was too busy for the staff to make enjoyable.
300 Pound for the worst food we have ever had.. Nice view and nothing else.. that s all!avoid! There are better terrace roof in London where at least you can an average meal... Beacause this was not even average...
Two visits in an 8-day period - 1st visit on Thursday, 15th July for cocktails only ... very enjoyable with good service and attentative staff. 2nd visit on Thursday, 22nd July for drinks and a meal ... very disappointing, specifically from a service point of view - (1) staff would ignore us when looking to get their attention, (2) when a question was asked about the meal that was put in front of us, were rudely told "ask your waiter", (3) our bill was given to us without us asking for us and without checking whether we would like to order anything else, etc. I will not be able to recommend Radio Rooftop to a friend based on the service I received and the experience I had on 22 July, despite the stunning views over London that brought me back after the 1st visit.
The Seafood Platter wasn’t the best, overcomplicated and to the detriment of taste, but the service and ambiance were excellent.
Not the greatest food or service. Great view and lovely ambiance, fun music and people watching. Wished the food was worth the price , it was lacking in quality. The server was also a bit lack luster and perfunctory. Drinks took forever to arrive and food arrived suspiciously early, as if it were sitting around and had been created a while earlier. Everyone we met reminded us (a bit too forcefully) that we only had an hour and a half.
Bad table though requested on booking.
Drinks order late - food came before drinks
Food looked as if taken out of a takeaway box
Everything rushed, no attention to diners.
Request to move to a outside table , near floral display was told no tables available. New diners came and sat on table next to ours ( 2 people), they asked for move and was given straight away 🙄.
Wouldn’t be going again or recommending .
I've not been to Radio in quite some time and I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon.
The whole point of visiting a rooftop bar is to enjoy the open air experience.
Yesterday, the rooftop bar had a roof!!!
The explanation provided was that it was too sunny...
The whole layout was quite messy.
The customer service has dropped off too.
It's a shame because I used to love this place.
Nice food, but service for us was slow and was even poorer for diners around us (forgotten drinks, reminded three times). Expected better.
Fabulous setting and the food was lovely although my friend is gluten free so her options were limited! The service however was really slow! Considering you are only allowed your table for 2 hours you would hope the service would be a little quicker - it took 40 mins to get drinks and have our food order taken. This was a Wednesday night and it didn’t seem overly busy so I would be concerned on a weekend that it could be even slower. Hoping it was just an off night or they’d had staff pinged by the Covid Police so would definitely go back as restaurant & food was really lovely
Not impressed will not visit again sadly. New manger so hopefully he can sort things quick.
The procedures made it more akwward than it needed to be. Staff unaccomodating. The venue is a little tired and the drink menu is limited
Our waitress/server was lovely, but the woman/host at the front was rude and made us feel uncomfortable right from the start. Because of that, we will not return as we felt very unwelcome and set us off badly right from the start.
Booked Radio Rooftop for Birthday breakfast. Great service. Quality food and views! Worth the visit
I never experienced such bad service and food, upon arrival I requested to hand in my Credit Card to be kept in a "Safe Box"....WHAT ???
I asked to manager for such bizarre request and he claimed that is for to secure the payment. Is it really necessary ??? he agreed to return my card, and we pay the bill at the end.
We told that we can sit for the dinner for only 1.5 hrs.....WHAT ?
Food was poor.
Will never back to this place.
Great location but very very expensive - even for London prices. Also hard to get service.
Such a lovely experience, it was my friends birthday and they kindly gave him a little cake! Would recommend to anyone!
My girlfriend and me were there mainly for drinks. When we have requested the bill, we paid but then realised we got overcharged 36£ for 2 drinks we did not have.
We made staff aware and got refunded for 18£ only - asked again why did we only get 18£ if the total overcharge was 36£.
The guy who processed this then, quite annoyed, refunded us again for 18£. This left us really embarrassed - we even apologised, but why did we ? Mistake was not on our side.
Absolutely no apology from anyone, my girlfriend even tried to exchange a few words during both refunds processes - to make the situation less awkward - the supervisor who was in charge just did not bother to spend an extra word or apologise for their mistake.
Really did not expect this treatment in a place like this one - very disappointing.
Joined with five other friends for a reunion. Started well with orders for platters and drinks.
From there, it all went wrong. Ordered orange juice as a second drink, which took up to 30 minutes to be delivered, asked for the waitress to order more food, which took another 15-20 minutes until the waitress came to the table, only to be told we couldn't order anything from the mains as we didn't have the table for long, even though there were almost 40 minutes left. The way this message was conveyed was very blunt and it did sound very harsh, bordering on insulting.
My friend asked for the bill and after 20 minutes, we had to ask again for the bill. When we asked for the service charge to be removed, we were asked if there was anything wrong with the service, which I found rather surprising. The only plus point was the presentation of the complimentary desserts to celebrate my friends belated birthdays, which was a nice touch.
Will I return? Most likely not to be honest, which is a real shame.
Was disheartened by the previous reviews - turned out to be fantastic. Sat overlooking St Paul's/Somerset House, wonderful food (Salmon Poke bowl and pan-fried seabass), great service. A premium price for a premium place. Ate at 3pm, and was quiet and very relaxed. No problems waiting for the table.
the food, location and restaurant are lovely.
A few things to mention.
When someone asks for a glass of tap water on the hottest day of the year so far, it should be obvious that we want ice as well! Common sense really!
Cocktails - £18 per Mojito felt excessive, even bearing in mind the prices of other drinks. It wasn't especially strong in alcohol content, didn't come in a fancy glass or have anything special, it was very basic presentation and so felt a bit of a rip-off.
Staff were friendly, toilets clean etc, as you would expect. Lovely views.
Great place, nice views and very good service. Thank you!
Would definitely go back! Good, drink and staff were all wonderful. Really nice chilled atmosphere. It was quite expensive for what we got but you’re paying for the whole experience, not just food and drink.
We just had drinks which are pricey but expected.
Sadly service let the place as staff not attentive to tables unless of course you are an influencer
Waited 30 minutes for our first drink, also wasn’t about to get the first option as out of stock. So had to go for a more expensive option.
Carmine (apologies if I’ve spelt his name wrong) is a credit to radio rooftop! Incredible service and always with a smile. Perfect vibe for evening drinks with good music.
Poor service and expensive for what it was. Staff weren’t attentive
Not the ideal venue in hot weather. No air conditioning inside, outside seats have no shade. Lots of people trying to be moved indoors which impacted on the service as staff were being distracted. Only having 90 minutes at the table and having to wait 20 minutes for a drink is just frustrating especially with the minimum spend. On the other hand staff were friendly and food was very good.
We went on a really hot day and we’re sat outside; Some parasols would have been greatly appreciated and made the lunch even better -everything else was perfect
Was 5 minutes late due to a late uber to be told we could not have a table.
Service was very poor
