A great lunch pre-show, very tasty food, polite and attentive service and an authentic atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone.
Always outstanding food and perfect hosts. You cannot find better Lebanese!
Excellent Lebanese food - best ingredients, I would guess, and nicely presented (and generously served). Good undemonstrative service. Only went for lunch, but it I suspect it would be as good in the evening.
We really enjoyed our meal and the food was varied and tasty. The menu can be quite overwhelming so advice was welcome but we still over-ordered on the mains. For 5 people, order 5 mezze and 2 or 3 mains to share (the grilled skewers work well for this). Mezze were very slow arriving and they and the mains came out more or less together, which we weren't expecting, and it was awkward having it all on the table. The Lebanese wine was excellent. Service was very friendly and attentive. Overall a very good evening in a convenient location. 5 mezze, 5 mains and 2 bottles of wine came to £164.
As always , fantastic food !
This Restaurant keep hos standards high . Some dishes are like "home cooking"
Lovely food, good environment attentive staff, all in all very enjoyable
Could be better
Nice food. The £18 offer was good (instead of £25).
The food is good, I ordered the mix grill, which is delicious and valued. It's a quiet large size of dishes, my friend and I even can not finish it. They also offer fresh vegetables for starter. However, the serivce is just ok, it is included cover fee for 2 pounds for each person.
A curious lunch - lovely restaurant with good food but rather spoiled by poor service. I arrived and it was quiet yet I was directed to my table rather than shown to it. My companion arrived and we ordered 5 dishes from the Mezze menu yet only four arrived. They all were, I should add, excellent and of a generous size. At one point these for were nearly joined by two others and, despite explaining we'd a) they were for us and b) we had one of them already, she was quite insistent. Eventually she took them away before delivering them, via the kitchen, to the rather bemused looking people on the next table. The bill arrived promptly but the amount was keyed in to the card machine so promptly I has to ask for it to be cancelled so I could leave a tip. This was all on a quiet lunchtime so I'd hate to think what they'd be like on a busy evening. It's rather a shame that my memories of Randa are of for the good food or excellent value but the chaotic, almost comedic service.
Great fun in a lively environment. Food good and loads of it.
This place serves really really good food! Choose their small dishes to share and keep ordering until you're full. Ok wine list but could benefit from having the top Lebanese wine on it; chateau Musar. Top place though
I initially stumbled over this place seven years ago when visiting London with my son. When I had to travel from Sweden to London for business last week my daughter flew in from Italy and my friend from Norway to meet I had a fond recollection of. Randa by Maroush did not disappoint. The staff was attentative, the food plentiful, tastey and appealingly presented - despite the restaurant being packed with visitors. This is a fabulous place for just about anyone since they obviously have a generous selection of vegetarian alternatives as well as meat. Hope to have the chance to dine here again.
Average food. Did not honour Open Table deal . Waitress insisted glass of wine each not included and added this, together with cover charge to our bill.
The baba ganouj and the falafel were especially good! Waiter was very funny.
We often go to Randa, especially with vegetarian friends. Everyone is always happy and says they will return.
Excellent food, service and value.
We went for an early evening meal with 3 teenagers. The visit was a total success. The restaurant has a huge range of mezze none of which disappointed. Wonderful big falafels, citrussy salads, smooth hummus and smoky baba ganoush. Having ordered too many starters we then shared some mixed grills which were perfect. Juicy chicken and lamb pieces with a lightly spicy marinade.
We will definitely be going back
This is a great Lebanese place to have a meal. We have been to their other branches but the music has put us off as we cannot hear our selves thing and the belly dancing is very poor. The Shisha is also not our thing so this place is a perfect fit without the distractions. We ordered a set meal for four people and the dishes were plentiful and we were unable to finish them. We will definitely visit again.
I came to Randa on a Friday evening, and the food was nothing spectacular; it lacked flavour and having had Lebanese before this is by far an experience I would not repeat.
The salad came out unprepared & we were responsible for cutting up a whole green pepper, lettuce, tomato & some other bits. Needless to say we asked for this to be removed as had I wanted to chop up food I would have prepared a meal at home.
My main course of king prawns was extremely dry and when I asked for a sauce I was given something that was inedible. My companions food was also very dry and we both had food left over at the end of the evening, and this was not due to us being full up!
Overall very disappointed with the food but the staff & service was ok.
We are regulars here but this was well below par. The restaurant was no fuller than usual but the service was very slow. Dishes arrived eventually but incomplete. Everything down to the bill had to be chased. Food for once was patchy in quality and presentation. We will be back but only the once unless former standards return
Randa had been one of our favourite Lebanese restaurants for a long time but I've not been back for a while for no particular reason. I was very pleased to find that the service was good and food was as brilliant (especially the Mezze dishes) as I remembered! Portions are very generous. They were very accommodating of our various requests throughout the meal too. Green tea served at the end was not great so we will be sticking to the mint tea option in the future. Will be back again!
Visited Randa for the first time last Saturday after a day in London. Other Lebanese restaurants were fully booked but Randa had spaces. Not sure why as the food and service are very good. Portions are a decent size and quality is excellent. Some interesting menu choices. Next time I will probably stick to the mezzes rather than add a 'main' as choice seemed wider.
The crudités were novel: a diy basket of mostly unchopped veg, including a whole green pepper, whole large tomatoe and whole mini cucumber! A bit OTT between two of us. It felt a bit like "ready steady cook" at first and expect that the unused items are recycled for the next customers (a massive waste otherwise).
Overall though a good experience and worth a visit.
The food is so delicious in a nice ambience, you could go for a romantic lunch or with your family or work friends. Every time my friends come to town I like to take them there.
The best Lebanese food you can get in central london
Good service, generous portions, excellent selection and reasonable price (especially considering it's in Kensington).
I will go again
I have eaten at Randa for many years and it has always been a favourite of mine. I was a bit disappointed that they no longer make their own pita bread with thier starters. In the past, you received fresh, hot puffy pitas straight from the oven. Now it is the type you buy in a package that are ok, but for me really dampen my experience at a beloved place.
We had a weekday lunch at Ronda. Restaurant was quiet but good for conversation Service was good. Food was tasty and plentiful. Loved the vegetable platter and breads. It has halal meat which was an essential for my gues. I would definitely go back in the future.
Came here around lunchtime on a Sunday before going to a concert in Hyde Park so the location was great. It was fairly busy so glad we booked a table. As it was a Sunday lunchtime there were a lot of children in the restaurant running around and being rather annoying, but once they were gone it was much calmer and more relaxing. The food was amazing. We had a selection of mezze to start and then I had a whole chicken as my main! It was so tasty but just too big to finish. I really enjoyed the food though and would definitely go back, just maybe in the evening.
We visit Randa on a regular basis and it never fails to disappoint. Highly recommended.
Mediocre food and poor service. Our starters were a chickpea dish with so much garlic to make it almost unedible, flatbread with hallumi in it which hadnt been melted (how can you get a grilled cheese sandwich wrong?!) and an aubergine dip which was good. Our mains were better (a stew, a mixed grill and a mince lamb dish) but 2 of them didn't come with rice or any side (only the stew did). Tap water was warm, wine came when we'd almost finished our starters and the restaurant completely lacks character. I wouldn't recommend it.
No thanks, would not like to submit public review would rather go straight to the restaurant thanks
Rwanda offers lovely tasting Lebanese food in a nice setting with great service. Highly recommended.
Both pita bread and rice were dry. The rest of the food was ok, although you can get better food and value for money in many equivalent places near Edgware Rd
Good service and nice ambient. They have lot of space, so good if you are a group meeting up near High St Kens.
Excellent food. Good service. Generous portions. Very good value. A bit clinical decor. Recommended overall because of the food.
The location was great, being on Kensington Church Street, just off High Street Ken. Going to the restaurant with minimal expectations, we were pleasantly surprised by the pubby exterior and spacious interior. We ordered a hummous to share, as well the char-grilled baby chicken and lamb. While we were waiting, we were served a bowl of vegetables, which were raw and uncut except for some carrot sticks. There were also cucumber, green pepper, tomato and lettuce. A little odd, but interesting. The vegetables were fresh and sweet. The food came and the portion was quite big. The hummous was nice, but a little too sour. The baby chicken was nicely cooked, tender and juicy. The lamb was nicely grilled as well, but was a little on the salty side.
I would say this is one of my favourite dinning experience in London where some places are over-rated. The staff is very friendly and polite. My orders were just in my expectation which was nice! Meats were tender and salad is savoury and fresh. It might perhaps sound too good to be true, but yes it was really nice. In addition, a bowl of vegetable and some nibbles for desserts were given out of the bill. I'll surely go visit again next time with ny friend.
Mother is disabled and was unaware that there was levels to the restaurant, so our table for 7 was set out upstairs...so we squeezed onto two tables...having said that, they were very apologetic! The food was amazing, service excellent, couldn't recommend it more! Perfect for dinner before a show at the Albert Hall, but could equally see myself popping in for a rogue lunch :)
Friendly, efficient, unobtrusive service. Excellent and copious food. Pleasant, relaxed atmosphere.
We went to randa for valentines day. When we got there he gave us the valentines menu but we were unaware this was the only menu on offer so we asked if we could have the normal menu. After much deliberation (because we were going to leave otherwise) he said we could but would have to move seats because the people around us were having the set menu which was fine.
The food was ok I love the moussaka and halloumi
Service was ok - not the best atmosphere for valentines
Also you get a full bowl of salad but it's not been cut so we were a bit confused as to how we are supposed to eat it.
Overall it was ok but there are better
We all liked the mezes and the lamb skewers were good. The prawns looked even better but I didn't get to taste them. Good service.
