Food is wonderful. Everyone in our party enjoyed the food. Server was friendly and attentive. Would definitely comeback.
Outstanding, perfectly prepared dishes, fantastic service and solid wine liar. Loved it.
Another great meal at Rao's.....authentic Italian food that is sure to satisfy. Cool vibe and great service. A must...been to all 3 locations and all are awesome
The veal Parmesan is my go to favorite here…it’s the best ever!!! My friend swears by the double cut pork chops too 😋😋
It was my our first time there, we were celebrating my wife’s birthday. Was super impressed with the service we got at the door by the staff, valet parking was flawless and fast, food was worth it! big portion and great authentic taste! definitely a customer for life
I live in NYC and can't get into Rao's in the original location, so was excited to be able to make a reservation at this one in LA. Outstanding!
Eggplant parm is on point here.
Our FAVORITE spot! Everything about Rao's is perfect. I love the atmosphere, food and service. Always a pick me up on a bad day or the perfect place to celebrate.
Rao's was an excellent choice for our Monday night date night!! The service exceeded our expectations and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back!
Johnny Roastbeef thanks for making my parent’s 61st anniversary so special! Everything was amazing!
Rao's is always exactly what we want it to be. Great Italian comfort food in a very New York/New Jersey-style dining room. Excellent service. Great, relaxed vibe. We love going to Rao's.
Food was delicious! Service was top notch! Had a wonderful time!!
Have been wanting to come here and made reservations after we attended Van Gogh. We were greeted warmly, seated immediately and the staff was great. We never had to ask for anything the staff was so on it. Our sever Noah was great and his recommendations were perfect. We will be back again.
We loved sitting on the patio. The noise level was low and lovely ambiance. You didn’t feel like you were sitting outside. Food and service were top notch. We will be back.
Drink selections were made with the assistance of Tracy - one of the GMs who is also their buyer. The excellent service started there and continued strong throughout the entire evening. All the food was fantastic! The meatballs are a must! The roasted red peppers and mozzarella were delicious! I had the fiocchi and OMG!! My husband had the Tuscan Shrimp and Scallops - also great! A slice of classic NY cheesecake for dessert was the perfect ending. We rolled out of there very happy!
I had the best time at Rao's last night! I started with a superb Caesar salad,
followed by delicious and perfectly prepared Orchiette pasta cooked al dente as
requested. My friend and I shared a great bottle of Barola. Top it off maitre d'
Johnny Willams was there to insure a perfect evening, which it was! I can't wait to
I love this place! I have since they opened. The food is phenomenal. If you are on a budget, than I would go for a special occasion… but the prices are comparable to any other high quality restaurant in Los Angeles. It’s a little weird to find, I’ve always wondered about the location choice, but I like that it’s off the beaten path. And there’s always street parking available— so that helps! The decor is adorable, the bar excellent. If you eat meat, you have to have the meatballs! They are the best I ever had, but I don’t tell my mother I said that. And of course their sauce makes every pasta choice amazing! Add it to your must-visit restaurant list for sure!
This is the place for the best Italian-American cuisine West of the Mississippi. Eat your heart out San Francisco. As for further East, don’t look back Chicago, Rao’s is gaining on you. We disagreed about our Caesar Salad to start; I thought it was the best anywhere but my wife held out for the main dining room at the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City. Pick ‘em. Then our sausage, onions and bell peppers second plate – the dish that first hooked me at Rao’s in Caesar’s Palace – was just as perfect as always. Then the main event, the Veal Parmigiana, large and every bite a delight. Service was impeccable, as always (this was not our first time at Rao’s). The décor is cozy and interesting, with celebrity photos on the wall and a fireplace outside in the patio. For us the only problem is location; we drive from Marina del Rey to Hollywood for Rao’s. That should tell you something.
Another great evening at our favorite restaurant. Best food. Extraordinary welcoming staff.
Awesome- thanks Dine LA for reminding us of this great spot! Glad to re find it!
Early Sunday dinner for chef Mike’s Sunday gravy is a must. It’s served family style for two. With a dirty martini and cheesecake for dessert, the perfect Sunday evening meal.
Fantastic service from everyone! They went out of their way to accommodate us & did it with a smile. The food was delicious, we had a fantastic experience. Thank you to the entire team!
Raos never disappoints from their in-restaurant service to the impeccable food that they serve…that is until the last time we dined there. Don’t get me wrong the food, in-restaurant service, dessert to the out the door service was excellent and I could not have wanted anything more or less from raos. BUT it was after when we were heading to our car, a person which who did not look like a employee of raos for following few reasons; the person had no uniform nor did he mention this he was. He came out of nowhere and asked if we had parked our car on the street. We replied no and walked off only to find this person speed walking up to get in a car and barricade us in on a dead-end road by blocking with his car. It did not stop there, he then approached our car, still leaving his car to block ours to tell us he didn’t appreciate us lying and walking off. Why would we tell a random stranger where we parked our car, how is that important to him? Let me remind you, this person had no uniform nor did he ever mention he was the valet for raos. He then went off by saying the street we had parked on was private property and that we were lucky he did not have it towed which would’ve costed $400 and asked us to pay $12. We informed him that there are no signs nor have any indications of it being a private road and only assigned for raos valet parking. He was very hostile, feeling very uneasy we kindly asked him to move his car. He denied the request and kept asking for the $12…this is when we suggested to call the police which then he took a picture of our license plate and told us he would make sure we would never be allow to dine at raos ever again. Not sure where it went wrong to have been told that esp when we weren’t even aware he was the valet, maybe if he had an uniform or had said that in the first place instead of being hostile, chasing us down to our car to barricade us.
Took my friends from NYC. We love it. Food was amazing
Everything was great, except we had a reservation and it still took 45 minutes to get seated and it seemed like others were getting seated before us. Food was delicious and the manager walking around greeting people was really authentic Italian and a nice touch.
Delicious red sauce place with a fun vibe. The Meatball is not to be missed. We also had the Penne all Vodka and Veal Parm which did not disappoint
Chicken Milanese was tender and juicy, topped with fresh arugula salad; penne pasta with vodka sauce was delicious. Great atmosphere and kind , attentive servers.
Welcoming environment. Smells wonderful. Nice banquets. Excellent specialties presentation by server Marco. Easy side street location ---unique for Hollywood.
We will return.
Love the old world ambience and service. Food authentic and delicious, almost makes me feel as though I’m back in Rao’s, New York City. Professional and courteous waitstaff just top it all off. Love you Rao’s! We will be back!
The Fiocchi is like nothing I've ever eaten. It is so delicious that I order it every time. The crispy sage leaves are crazy good.
We came on a Sunday and had the signature "gravy" dish. they say it's for 2 but believe me at least 3 maybe 4 can eat this dish. It was quite good with sausage(my favorite), a brisket and of course, meatballs. And do get the cheesecake, especially if you are from NY!
Our waiter was excellent and made sure we had everything we needed.
Plenty of street parking-but this was a Sunday night.
It was THE BEST in every way. Not noisy because we had a terrific dinner outside.
We had an incredible meal last night at Rao’s. My boyfriend loved his fettuccine with clams and I loved my vodka pasta. The manager came by twice to see how we were doing our server Marco from Natalie couldn’t have been nicer and more attentive. The vibe is old-school Italian/ East Coast. We loved our experience and will definitely be back!!!
Great food. Wonderful server (Marco). Loved the ambience and the location. 0 complaints.
Great food in a great atmosphere. Well worth it .
The lemon chicken is superb!
I live in the neighborhood and finally made it to this spot. It was a great experience all around. The ambiance was immaculate. The food was heavenly, and the staff was over all helpful, courteous, and friendly. I will definitely be back over and over again.
What is there to say? This is one of the best experiences you will have in your lifetime…and don’t forget to order the cheesecake!!!!!
Service and food were excellent!
