Contemporary American
Rebeccas has been serving inventive, modern American cuisine for over 20 years in its Greenwich, Connecticut location. A glass walled window separates the kitchen from the dining room where diners may sit and watch up-close at the kitchen counter to view the brigade at work. Run by husband and wife team, Rebecca Kirhoffer and Reza Khorshidi, both trained chefs in their own right, are best known for a menu that is playful, innovative and adventurous. They work with seasonal, fresh, local and organic ingredients. The wine list is smart with a focus on the best of what Burgundy and California have to offer.

Food was good but not great. Steak was ordered medium rare but was at least medium. Appetizer was fettuccine with black truffle and was very bland. My wife’s sea bass was nothing to write home about. All this would be fine if prices were not what they are. Don’t want to say it was bad because it wasn’t but just did not come close to meeting expectations.

Had an outstanding dinner at Rebeccas this week. Salads to start were unusual, delicious and more than ample portion. Fish dishes also outstanding. Service was elegant and friendly. Dinner was pricey but decent value with the high level of food and service. Will return in the near future!

Impeccable food. The duck foie grois melted and the endive salad was perfectly crisp. I also highly recommend the elk, which was hearty and delicious.

The only downside was that the restaurants was dead quiet. Zero music. The lack of music took away from the ambiance when we started; after the room started to fill up, we stopped noticing the silence and enjoyed the cuisine.

Certainly one of the best restaurants in the Fairfield/Westchester area. The menu is creative and expansive and the preparation and high quality of ingredients are outstanding.

We had a very delicious dinner. The rack of lamb was excellent, as was the tuna. The prices are high but the quality of the food and the service were commensurate. The room is sparsely decorated and pleasantly quiet.

It's been a few years since we last dined at Rebeccas, so we were eager to return for a recent dinner. The restaurant remains a true fine dining experience. Located off the beaten path in the Glenville section of Greenwich, the setting is serene and elegant, with a tasteful contemporary interior decor that is in no way stuffy or pretentious. The service is highly professional and unobtrusive. Most important, the food is outstanding, from amuse bouche to petits fours. The menu is filled with tempting dishes, each executed flawlessly. Extensive list of French and American wines. Like most good restaurants in Greenwich, Rebeccas is expensive, but the food and the entire experience is of the highest quality and worth the price. It's an excellent choice for a special occasion.

We loved almost everything about Rebecca’s. Appetizers (scrambled eggs with caviar and fois gras) were delicious as was the lobster with risotto. The grouse which was a special was not to my liking - too heavy. Only reason I gave the food a four and not a five. Cheese course and tart tatin were also delicious. Service was excellent and the bar tender was very hospitable. We will definitely come back and recommend Rebecca’s to friends and family!

It was a delightful evening for our anniversary. Service is impeccable and the food and special treats was lovely. We chose a wonderful Burgandy to have wish dinner. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

We had heard this was the best restaurant in Greenwich, so waited for a special occasion to try it out. The setting is without any feature or view but it is quiet and comfortable if a bit stark. The menu with $110 entres usually featuring truffles was intimidating but if you search there are items under $50. We all had the low-end items and they were all excellent. The beef short ribs were fantastic as was the black bass the problem arose with the service which was terrible.

To start we order a bottle of wine. It didn't arrive and after 20 minutes we flagged down the maitre de who managed after some to do to get the wine. Then someone else came and took the order. The wait for the food was not so long and was served by three people. By this time we were out of wine and the waiter asked if we would like another bottle of the same. I said no we will go to half bottles now since the entres required different pairings. So he said ok and NEVER came back.

At these prices, the service needs to be streamlined and massively improved. We noticed several empty tables, but when we made the reservation three weeks ahead we specifically asked that if possible we get an earlier seating. Three empty tables when we arrived suggests we could have come earlier and people were not canceling their reservation. While they are overhauling the service they might want to consider how they handle their reservations and customer requests.

Beet appetizer unremarkable. Turbot dry and oddly sauced. Dessert average. Given the price level a diner isn’t looking for “value” but certainly expects competent execution.

We enjoyed this restaurant tremendously, the cuisine is amazing, we feel it’s one of the best Restaurant‘s in Connecticut. The service is extraordinary, the staff is very observant everything just went to plan. We will certainly be revisiting this place of business often.

My recent meal at Rebecca's was by far one of the most outstanding culinary experiences dining out in a long time.
Absolutely amazing! I want to go back once aweek and work my way through their entire menu.
The staff was attentive yet resoectful. Warm, friendly and very helpful.
