   The Red & White Bistro has suffered to recover from the covid pandemic. The offerings are much less in number and quality. The cheese table and dessert table are the most reduced from prior years offerings. The chefs have done an admirable job to make the less costly cuts of beef taste very good with spicy rubs and great sauces on the mini pork ribs. But for the increased price of $50 (up from $35 just a couple of years ago) this diner is choosing to eat at home before coming to the game.

   Food was good. Turkey could have been warmer, it seemed to be cold. Great place to dine if you are a Houston Rockets fan, food and basketball entertainment all in one roof.

   Overpriced for what you get. Food was average at best but the price tag was in-line with a sit down formal restaurant. Service was just ok. It’s an experience, but not one I’d do again.

   Food selections have become lower in quality after the shortages of the COVID pandemic. Staff has also decreased and diners are much fewer. So the price has increased dramatically, and quality of meats, cheese options, and desserts has dropped drastically. We eat there because it’s a pregame tradition for us. We hope things turn around and quality comes up to previous standards. We like the venue and good service.

   The food was Ok , chicken fried chicken was horrible , only options was turkey , nachos or hot dogs . Wasn’t worth the 50 fee . The cookies was hard and popcorn was stell . My tab was 160 And the only thing I enjoyed was the drinks . It was definitely much better before covid . I’m a season ticket holder and this was unacceptable

    Continuously gone down hill since COVID. Drink glasses with lipstick on them, clearly dirty. Issues with overcharging on the bill - buying a $70 bottle of wine and charging nearly $300 for it. Hopefully they improve because it was one of our game-day favorites.

    My wife and I have eaten here 3 times and plan to several more. This is a great way to beat the rush to a Rockets game. The food is delicious served buffet style with lots of selection. The staff is very friendly. It is a bit pricey, but we find it worth it for the quality and convenience.

    The view at red and white wine bistro has to be the best in the house, the service was also amazing thank you Keenan Broussard for going above and beyond. This place would be perfect however the food was terrible. The buffet had slim pickings all of which were tasteless.

    Not what it used to be pre covid. Not having a beef dish is pretty shocking, pork, chicken or Turkey were the only proteins. I know Covid has altered a lot and the Rockets are in a rebuilding phase but honestly, the place could be closed instead of what the current offerings are.

    Offerings have been cut drastically to where it’s hard to find any dish that impresses me. Service and staff are excellent but Fertitta and management have decided to almost shut down the bistro. It’s sad.

    Good food for pre game. Nice variety of selections. The charcuterie is missing crackers and sweet condiments like quince paste or fig preserves. The vegetables are often very undercooked such as being too firm to cut or bite. As a cook, I know it’s a balance to cook to the “tooth” but not over cook veggies. Salad bar is immaculate, as are the carving board and other chafing fishes. Great roasted meats.

    Food has REALLY GONE DOWNHILL since Tillman took over the Rockets. Some of the food isn't even edible. Been a regular for years under Leslie Alexander and the food was always top notch. I would eat Luby's food before ever going back. Brought two guests that have never been and I was literally embarrassed by the food that was served tonight.

    This was our first time at the restaurant. Know ahead of time that the best way to get to the restaurant is by way of the Toyota Tundra Garage at 1515 Jackson St. On Rocket game days, only season ticket holders can park there so we had to find a place to park before walking to the sky bridge. Once there, the service folks are OUTSTANDING!! From the minute we were greeted at the skywalk to the minute we left the restaurant, the entire staff was as good as you will find anywhere. Everyone was super pleasant, helpful, and made you feel like they were truly happy you were dining there. Our server, Amber, was super sweet and helpful with how the dinner process worked. Here are our "good and not so good" comments Good---The entire service staff. The restaurant is nice and spacious and very comfortable and has a great overall setting. It's a buffet meal and set up. The buffet looks very attractive. Desserts were good. After dinner there is a huge bowl of popcorn that guests can help themselves to and box up for eating during the game. After leaving dinner, you walk into a nice bar area where you can buy drinks and watch the game if you choose to. Not so good---the on line menu is 2 years out of date including the price. Seems like the buffet items may not change much, but curiously the printed menu we received after sitting was not exactly what was on display. Some items are labeled, others are good for guessing. It's' $50 per person not including drinks and tip. The carving station had pork tenderloin. Many of the food items were cool or cold; the vegetables, the chicken fingers. Don't know if its due to the nature of the Toyota Center chilly AC or if the sterno set up is just inadequate. Perhaps the food should be covered to maintain the desired temperature? Some of our food selections were disappointing because after the first bite they were too cool to be pleasant. Flavors were good. We are glad we tried it once.

    Went many times pre covid and expected sports complex prices for a bit of upgraded event. Since then, it’s fallen in quality. Dish-wear seemed somewhat dirty, coffee maker was broken (which is probably okay since cup of coffee is $12 and iced tea is $7) and non of the extras like an ice cream station. My opinion, certainly now not worth the $50+ per person. Hopefully they will be able to get it back on track. Servers are very nice and they deserve a quality spot to be proud of.

    Red and White was amazing as usual. It's the best place to eat before and during a Rockets game. We were able to see the court from our table, watch the National Anthem and tip off before making our way to our seats.

    Been a mininplan ticket holder this year and with onpyba few games left i finally realized this place. Wow. Great spot to enjoy food drink and watch live game. Really like the high top table. Great fun experience.

    We love eating here before the game, but this time, the food wasn't up to their normal standards. The pork and the turkey were dry. The parsnip mashed potatoes and the baked cauliflower were excellent! The variety of food available is always exceptional, but I'd appreciate a gluten-free bread choice. Harold, our server, always goes above and beyond.

    Until the staff and management team are trained to deal with problems, issues and/or request; I refuse to return back or recommend Red & White Wine Bistro to anyone! The hostess was rude and didn't try to seat us where we requested (i.e. in a booth). The manager "Lina" was not professional at all. She sent our waitress to tell us we didn't request a particular seating on the reservation. The waitress said we could move to a booth once a booth was cleared. No one ever followed up with us nor did they move us when the booth was cleared minutes later. No one offer us to wait for a booth in the area we wanted to sit. The waitress was nowhere to be found with clean plates to continue eating at the buffet. We had to ask another waiter for more plates. After the whole seating issue, another waiter asked a couple near us if they'd like to sit in a booth so they can watch the game while eating. They simply moved to the booth. This really upset us because we asked and there was availability to sit in a booth but we were refused. Now! I can say I felt a little racism going on because we are African American. In addition to this, other waiters and waitresses kept staring at us and talking about us. As a matter of fact, I overheard Lina, the manager explaining to one of the waiters that we wanted to sit in a booth and we were upset that we couldn't. I asked for the manager "Lina" again. I informed Lina that I would write a complaint and negative review and she just said sorry she had to go by what the hostess says and offered us free wine. Now! As an Air Force Veteran with over 21 years of service and have supervised and managed people in missions, I know as a manager Lina could have over ruled the hostess and accommodated us. We will never go to this establishment again. The only reasons the rest of our night was fun is because of the fans and the Rockets won the basketball game. I'm open to anyone who wishes to contact me concerning this matter. Thanks!

    This was our second time dining at The Red and White before attending the Rockets game. The first time I thought everything was great, this time the food was not so good. The meat at the carving stations, prime rib and turkey were terrible. Overcooked and very dry. The pork medallions wrapped in bacon were also very dry. Thank goodness the roasted vegetables and salad bar were in point or it would have been a waste. Also, we were sat at a terrible table when we were the first or second couple to arrive after opening and they would not move us. They said all seats were predetermined before sitting. I never heard of such a thing. We weren’t asking for an overlook table, just one not right next to the hostess stand. The hostess was not accommodating in any way. Unfortunate visit.

    Our waiter was perfect, always was checking on us and was engaging conversation about the game.....love to see the staff as passionate about to game as I am. Would definitely recommend this to anyone.
