Red Rooster Harlem
I’ve always wanted to try Red Rooster and was not disappointed the food, love music, service and the general vibe was unbeatable
Fantastic dining experience!!! Our server was quick to greet us and she was very attentive to us! Food was delicious!
Wife and I stopped in for the first time for breakfast on a Saturday. We made reservations, but looks like we could have gotten a table with no problem at 10 AM. I ordered the omelette, which was decent. The side dish of shaved brussels, salmon and pickled red onions was excellent and really made the dish. My wife ordered the chicken and waffles which was okay but not great. The waffle was sweet, and there was no option to get the hot/sweet sauce on the side for the chicken. Seemed like too much hot and sweet. Service was great, and the host was super accommodating.
The service there was impeccable. The servers are very attentive, very suggestive,& knowledgeable. Music is great, ambiance is great, and atmosphere is fantastic. Food is excellent,ny compliments to the chefs!!! I'd love to come back & perhaps see a vocal show then hang out in the club.....Harlem Rooster do your thang💯
Solid food. Excellent service. It is a loud and bustling venue. But that makes it the experience.
One of my favorite restaurants in NYC. The food, drinks, and vibes are always excellent. The customer service is just as great.
We were in town from LA visiting our daughter. Have been here a few times in the past when visiting NYC. Amazing food, fantastic cocktails (get the Obamatini!), friendly service & AMAZING tunes! A really fun atmosphere if you are ok with it being loud.
Hubby and I had valentines dinner there! Amazing experience! Food, music, and service was great!
Great service the food was so good. Service even better.
We went on Valentines Day and we throughly enjoyed ourselves. The food, service and atmosphere was excellent.
To be honest, I was disappointed by my meal at Red Rooster. The food was good, but not great. The dessert, caramel donut, was dry and lacked flavor. The collard greens were really overcooked. Deviled eggs were fine but were just deviled eggs, nothing special. The servers seemed understaffed and it was sometimes difficult to get our server’s attention. I have been there before and remembered that the food was just so-so. Thought I would try it again but again was unimpressed. I’ll probably try Sylvia’s or Melba’s next time I want fried chicken and cornbread.
Red Rooster was a great place. The atmosphere was totally off the hook. Music, food, entertainment, and a character that dances all night. Totally impressed and a great fun night out.
Delightful in every way - from the hostess greeting to the delicious food and casual but cool atmosphere. Don’t miss it!
Amazing food and outstanding service. I recommend it highly
Lunchtimes are a bad idea. Totally dead. Staff a little loose (had to remind them about two dishes and the fact I wanted to pay). Food still great but come at dinnertime if you want the noisy buzzing Red Rooster experience.
Amazing food, staff and atmosphere must go
Everything was great! Service was great! And the food was great! I had the shrimp and grits, it was different than others I've tried and was very flavorful! I did everything but lick the bowl😋 The ambiance had that Harlem flare that I'd hoped for with a live band and singer in the background. Can't wait to return to try other menu options!
The ambiance music and staff are second to none. Unfortunately my wings had huge feathers still attached, can’t imagine how it made it to me and the shrimp and grits were just ok. But my fiancé had the Obama Short Ribs and they were divine’
The food was delicious, our waitress was phenomenal, the whole vibe was just great. Will definitely come back here again
Red Rooster in Harlem is a neighborhood gem. Food and service were exceptional. It has a lively vibe which is a testament to its popularity. Need to stay to catch a show next time. Can't say enough about the food. Outstanding!
Outstanding experience. The food was a unique twist on familiar southern style cooking. The atmosphere was vibrant and upbeat and the service was excellent.
Quick service. Friendly staff. Tasty brunch. I would go again.
Celebrating my husband’s birthday over brunch. It was our first visit and it was enjoyable. After reading many reviews, we ordered the cornbread and deviled eggs. I was disappointed. The cornbread was not hot or warm. The eggs were the smallest we’ve ever eaten. For all the hype, and price, I expected much better. The entrees were very tasty and we will return for main course meals and drinks in the near future.
Brunch was perfect! Everything was delicious, the service was great, and it wasn’t too loud, but still a fun environment.
From the moment we entered, the service was great. The first hostess was prompt in seating us at our reserved time. The hostess for our table was great, she had a great personality and great customer relations. The food was AWESOME and the price was worth every dollar. We'd definitely visit again.
Really enjoyed the food
A little disappointed for my first visit there. Did not live up to all of the hoopla and fanfare.
Spending my birthday weekend in New York and Red Rooster was on our list. So glad it worked out! It was wonderful!!
We really enjoyed the atmosphere and vibe. Food was a little hit or miss. I realize the cocktails are the focal point but some of us really want to stick to wine. The list could be a little more interesting to match the food and ambiance.
Wonderful restaurant , very diverse , amazing food, very easy to get too.
Best meal ever! And we ran into Marcus on our way out! All around amazing evening!
It was delicious! My family and I had an awesome time and I’ve already recommended it. Cornbread was soooo good! Will be back for sure!
Fabulous! Hospitable staff, food was presented wonderfully and tasting amazing!
I’ve had the good fortune to have dined in this wonderful restaurant several times. On this occasion the delivery and quality of our meal was not up to standard. My main course was served warm at best. Food wasn’t hot. Side dish was served ten minutes after our meals were served.
The food was not as good as it used to be. The ribs were drowning in sauce and i had to send them back to be reheated. It took so long to get the back mac & greens that they didn't charge us. The deconstructed apple pie was disappointing.
Lovely place with lots of character, great, friendly service and food. I am not a big fan of heavy southern cuisine but this is if excellent quality. The cornbread is a must. Also Helga’s meatballs (guess from chef Samuelson’s Swedish upbringing.) Crab cakes were delicious as was the mac and greens. Everyone loved their entrees. The music is a bit loud but somehow you manage to speak with & listen to your friends. Lovely artwork on display and plenty of smiling going on. It will cheer you up for sure!
My only concern is as someone with a shellfish allergy that all foods are fried in the same oil. Suddenly I was limited to just three things on the menu after I had looked forward to trying many of the fried foods. Otherwise, everything I had was good!
We made reservations for dinner during restaurant week. Open Table nor Red Rooster did not indicate that the dinner menu was not included for restaurant week prices. So that was a surprise. But the food was delicious, the tables weren’t too close together, and the service was friendly and efficient. I will go back.
Our table for 4 shared plates. We were super positive about everything but the Juneteenth, for me too heavy on the ginger, the fish itself was perfectly cooked. Otherwise all food and service were excellent.
Excelente como siempre, one of my faves always‼️🙌
