Amazing place with amazing food. I always order the traditional Eritrean food. The staff here are incredible and they always make me feel like I have been invited over for dinner. Try it, you won't be disappointed

Nice little place to have a family out. Very friendly lady served us, answered our questions about the menu and showed us an example of their special dish. The food was interesting and quite tasty. Only hope they will have more soft drink choice. Will go again.

Red Sea in Walworth provides a wonderful dining experience in a family-run bistro setting. Our only regret is ordering too much food that we could not finish. Three of us shared an enormous quantity of delicious spongy bread with eight different meat and vegetable toppings. We look forward to bringing friends to this special place.

Another fantastic night in the Red Sea Restaurant. Great Italian and Eritrean dishes at amazingly reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

Appealing family-run place with twinkling string lights and plenty of Eritrean customers. We felt well-taken care of, as if by an aunt, who is happy to explain dishes. Chicken Zinghni, although mighty spicy, very flavourful. Another dry lamb dish with green peppers was well-grilled but dry and boring. Hamli (kale with lemony herbs), though, was excellent. You get a huge enamel platter with more than enough injera pancake to eat with. We didn't try the Italian dishes.

Red Sea is the type of restaurant that makes you very happy to live in London. The food, service and hospitality are all exceptional. The owner and host welcomes you as if you were joining him in his home for dinner. The Toptable prix fix special for two with the half-carafe of wine makes the experience almost criminally low-priced. I have eaten at six Ethiopian / Eritrean restaurants and this is my favorite. I look forward to bringing many friends to Red Sea to see what they are missing!

The Red Sea in Camberwell London is a truly rare find. The owners are charming and welcome you as if into their own home. The food was delicious and expert tuition was given in respect of the way to eat the food without cutlery. The portions were very generous and they even gave us a 'carry out' hamper with the left overs! A memorable evening and exceptionally good value with the Toptable deal. Highly recommended for a fun, enjoyable and sociable evening.

I thoroughly recommend The Red Sea. Excellent and authentic food (and the Top Table deal is very good) and the service is both friendly and enthusiastic.

This is the best meal out I have had in a long time. The food was exactly as food should be: no menus, just good, honest, communal food served fresh and eaten with your hands. They provided as much injera as we could eat, and afterwards brought Ethiopian tea. The service from the owners was warm, genuine and personal. We stayed talking long after we'd finished and were not hurried or pressured into ordering more. When the bill arrived and it was only £18 it seemed too good to be true.

We were a little bit put off that we were the only people eating at the Red Sea, Camberwell but shouldn't have been. The owner explained the dishes, all of which were lovely and with the total bill for 2 being only £26 including the straters and extra caraf of wine we will definalty be back! More people should visit!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Red Sea. It was a little gem on a busy thoroughfare. The food was simply exquisite. The injera had the right texture, the right level of sourness and soaked up the 6 veg and non-veg dishes perfectly. We were treated to kale, spicy lentils, a vegetable curry, spicy lamb, mild lamb and a chicken curry with ample, thick sauce. Each dish had a distinct flavour.

The owner was very keen that we were enjoying the food and took great interest in our feedback.

We had a family dinner at Red Sea, Camberwell on Saturday evening as we were very interested in trying the Eritrean food after reading the reviews. We enjoyed the Red Sea platter which consisted of a mixture of very tasty vegeterian and meat dishes served on a layer of pancake-like bread. Although the service was a little disorganised at times, the staff were extremely friendly. Felt like being on holiday!

Food was excellent, service was a bit slack considering the place is nearly empty, the Saturday night fever type dance floor would probably only fit about 6 people max (at a squeeze) however would go again as food was spot on and not too expensive.

Review of Maharajah in Benfleet. The Restaurant is very well presented I love the crystal lighting and the colour changing dance floor just like the John Travolta days! The menu I thought could have had more vegetarian dishes and everything seemed very spicy/hot and they had run out of still water so i felt quite hot most of the evening! I would recommend the restaurant as its a lovely place to go to enjoy a night out.

We decided to try the Eritrean menu.Unfortunately the food was not to our taste.
Also the restaurant looked a lot better in the photo than in reality. A bit dissappointed.

The Maharaja is normally very nice, with friendly waiters and lots of choice. We had the buffett but unfortunatley this becomes very sparse when there are large groups of people. The waiters also seemed quite abrupt
