Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse - Louisville

The first & only steakhouse of its kind in the Louisville area, Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse serves only dry-aged USDA prime beef. While steak is the foundation of the menu, Jeff Ruby's promises to please seafood lovers as well with its raw/sushi bar & seafood entrees.

This was a special night out for my husband‘s birthday. We were visiting Kentucky with friends all of us from Arizona. Couldn’t have been happier!!! From the moment we walked in and we’re offered a glass of champagne…we knew we were in the right place. We are still talking about our scrumptious dinners today…24 hours later! The food was so absolutely delicious and perfection in presentation . Our server too was a gem with a witty personality that suited our bunch to a T. Even the atmosphere was intriguing. Our only complaint ( if we were to have one) is, it’s not right around the corner from home… or we would be back in an instant. Thanks for a great memory.❤️

It was our first visit, but not our last. I made reservations, our table was ready when we arrived. We even had an opportunity to chose where we would sit, inside or outside. We chose outside it was beautiful. The service was great as was the food.

Only one small negative. The strawberry skillet dessert option was lackluster. It wasn’t bad, but just not at the level of excellence where the bar at Jeff Ruby’s is set. It felt very premade and warmed over rather than fresh. Otherwise, another stellar dinging performance. The steaks, sides, and appetizers were fantastic. Wait staff Josh & Graham were extremely knowledgeable and attentive to any needs. Floor manager was visible all evening, attentive to guests and his staff without being intrusive. In a world of watered down expectations, Jeff Ruby’s continues to set the standard for uncompromising quality of both food and service.

I had heard a lot of good things about this place and turns out they were all true. The decor immediately made me feel like I was in Cuba, not Louisville. Our waiter was so adorable and helpful with suggestions for appetizers and drinks, we had the Testones and Cuban Nachos with the Sangria. The appetizer portions were huge and delicious, so we didn’t order entrees. I had mentioned it was my friend’s Birthday, and at the end of the meal, our waiter brought her a piece of dark chocolate cake along with a Happy Birthday serenade by a very talented saxophone player. All in all, it was a delightful experience and I will be back!!
