- RRichardNew York City •2 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoI loved it when it opened in the mid 1990's and I still love it now nearly 30 years later. Little seems to have changed at Il Solito Posto, which is a blessing - great food, great wine, top service and a great vibe. And the signature pasta dish"farfalle al salmone" is still on the menu. - XXiaokeMelbourne •5 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoWe had a lovely night at the restaurant. Restaurant staff was very accommodating to our needs as we had extra ppl joining in. They made effort to move tables for us. They also found and kept our lost items securely so we were able to get them back. And of course, food was of high quality and very tasty. Highly recommended!More infoStraight Outta SaigonPrice: Moderate• Vietnamese• Melbourne CBD•4.6
- NNancyVIPTucson •181 reviews4.0Dined 6 days agoOur cruise stopped in Sydney last month, and after an organized tour, we decided to dine at a restaurant in the CBD the next time we were in port. I found this one on Open Table, made a reservation, and invited two other cruise passengers to join us. We arrived 30 minutes before our reservation and were seated promptly. As the host sat us, he informed us that we had the table for 90 minutes. When an employee came to take our order, we requested separate checks. She said that was impossible and that the only way to pay with two credit cards was to split the bill equally. My husband and I shared a pizza, which we enjoyed because the cheese and the crust were delicious. The garden salad was large enough for two people to share. The other couple enjoyed their pasta dishes. I recommend the operator consider how they can be more accommodating to international visitors. We didn't have sufficient Australian currency to pay cash, and the credit card system was not customer-friendly. We were also not informed that we needed to pay at the entrance, so we sat a while after eating. A Caesar salad is available on the lunch menu, but the server told my husband he could not order it at dinner. The wine list is diverse, with offerings from Australia and Italy.More infoMaccaroni Trattoria ItalianaPrice: Moderate• Italian• Melbourne CBD•4.4
