Pensacola Restaurants

Our night out started at Mother Hen, sort of a "speak-easy" annex you enter by picking up a phone outside of an inconspicuous entry door. This was a fun spot for craft cocktails before dinner. At our reservation time we had no wait and the restaurant was ready with a table. Our server Grant knew his menu and offered good information for selections. The manager Alex came to greet us as well. Service was fast! The food, with a nice presentation, was excellent . We had the daily catch, Cobia grilled, and the Low Country Shrimp Boil. I would recommend either. We plan to also try this spot for brunch soon. My wife's one and only complaint was the sound level in the dining room, which actually made it hard to carry on conversation without raising one's voice to match. The clientele were enjoying themselves but not rowdy. Just loud. This is not a very negative thing, just something to be aware of. Overall the food and experience were memorable and I would definitely dine here again and recommend Brother Fox to friends.

It was good to learn of half price cocktails during the 4-6 pm happy hour. Cocktails were strong and tasty! Our server was amazing with our table of 8. Food was amazing. Would have preferred a slightly larger table; the 8 of us could barely raise an arm to eat.

Food hit all the right notes. Frito pie is always a winner. Winter beet salad, delicious. Duck special, yum. Service great.

Meet friends for lunch. Our waiter was fantastic and very attentive. We were there for over 2 hours talking and laughing. They never made us feel like we needed to leave. Golden Irish coffee was amazing
