About Restaurant at The Bonham
The menu at Restaurant at The Bonham in Edinburgh is inspired by classic flavours, adapted for the modern palate by Head Chef Marco Nobrega and his team. Using locally sourced seasonal produce the dishes created are simple but elegant in style. The restaurant also offers an excellent, well-edited wine list chosen by Restaurant Manager Julie Goschescheck, to complement the dishes you will choose. Restaurant at The Bonham is characterised by sophisticated urban styling which we think you will love, whether it's business or pleasure that brings you here. Aside from some striking and dramatic art work by Tilo Stengel, we've designed the restaurant to be cool and minimal so that you can focus on the food, the company and the occasion.

Restaurant at The Bonham Ratings and Reviews
We booked through Groupon, but only because l was looking for a lovely place to go on our usual saturday night dinner date. I was amazed that you could find somewhere so classy and with such gorgeous food for not a lot of money. Please don't hesitate to visit this high end, unusual dining experience. The staff are all tuned in to know exactly when to approach tables to clear off plates or take orders .. l really loved this place and you will too.
I dined at the Bonham in Edinburgh following the Calcutta Rugby Match. Unlike the rugby the Bonham was as good as ever. The main course of Belly Pork was excellent accompanied by a Margaux recommended by the Sommelier. I look forward to my next visit in March to dine after the rugby match.
My husband and I dined at the Bonham through Toptable on Friday 24th Jan. The servers were extremely friendly and very accommodating, explaining the menu with ease. The food came in a timely fashion, was presented stunningly and every mouthful was a total delight. Even though I initially thought the portions looked small, I was totally full by the end of the meal, and my tastebuds were having a party! An amazing experience start to finish.
I love to lunch a "boozy snooze" here as it is great . The menu was varied and something for all tastes. 4 of us seated at a table with lots of space . You never feel crowded when eating - and the ambience lovely and relaxing. Food as always excellent - could have chosen all dishes for main! Beetroot and caramelised walnuts risotto was delicious, and the chocolate dessert amazing ! The staff as always attentive yet not intrusive.
The boozy snoozy deal at the Bonham is a long standing deal that epitomises value for money without a drop in standards. The menu choices were excellent, service just right and the relaxed but classy surroundings continue to make this one of my favourite places to dine. Hard to fault.
The staff went out of their way to accommodate allergy needs (gluten and dairy free) and had prepared a subset of the menu in advanced suitable for the person with the allergies.
The ambiance was fantastic and the food was just as good. The service was impeccable.
Highly recommended and would definitely go back.
We went to Bonhams for our daughters 20th birthday. The front of house gentleman - sorry did not get his name - was exceedingly helpful. Despite not really making a fuss about it being a birthday they produced 5 glasses of fizz with their compliments - a super gesture. Great food and very good value
This is the second visit and on both occasions the food reaches towards Michelin standards, really wonderful for this slightly out of centre hotel & restaurant in the Georgian bit of Edinburgh. Nice ambience in restaurant area especially at night and he menu is exquisite and brilliantly presented at these prices, recommended utterly.
A group of for adult females on trip to Edinburgh for one night. Thoroughly enjoyed the professional exquisite experience. Desert was not what we expected hence reason for 4 stars rather than 5. Definitely recommend however and would call again in another visit. Thank you.
This is the place for a special occasion. The food was really good, and the service outstanding. We enjoyed the " boozy snoozy" which was excellent value for money. The restaurant was busy, almost full, we were glad we had booked. It's our first choice for our next visit to the city.
Everything about the Bonham is excellent. The quality of food, the service, the value for money on the boozy- snoozy deal.
We had the best lemon tart ever - it just melted in your mouth. The staff remember who ordered what and bring the correct meal to the correct person without having to ask " who ordered the ........?"
There are 4 of us who meet 3 times a year and we have been to other restaurants but decided from now on we will always go to the Bonham .
booked this for my husband and I, and was a huge success. We had the 3 courses for £22 which included half a bottle of wine each. Amazing value, we ate early at 7pm and were worried the restaurant would be empty but it was fairly full with a lovely relaxed, yet upmarket atmosphere. The amuse-bouche was incredible (onion broth with a foam) as was the whole meal. We enjoyed a Tanquaray gin in the bar first, it has a great formal feel with large leather chairs.
My wife and I dined at the Bonham Restaurant in Edinburgh in September 2012. The dining room was attractive with a nice atmosphere. The service was good and attentive without being over zealous. We were each given a surprisingly good glass of wine with the Toptable deal of £20 for three courses. To start our meal, we were given a complimentary delicious amuse-gueule of apple and fennel sorbet. The 3-course meal that followed was excellent and beautifully presented. I particularly enjoyed the roast belly of pork. We regard this as very good value and heartily recommend it.
Took mum for an early supper and ordered from the market menu (3 courses for £20). Good number of choices and excellent value for money. Butternut squash risotto starter was wonderfully tasty as was the pigeon breast. We both had the sea bream for main course which was delicious; perhaps some more vegetables would have made it even nicer.
The service was charming and attentive without being too intrusive. Lovely restaurant and a lovely meal.
Enjoyed a fantastic three course lunch with a bottle of wine. Food was superb, perfectly formed portions which were exquisetly presented. Pigeon Brest was full of flavour and the piquant sauce complemented perfectly. Pork main course was a revelation. Melt in your mouth awesome! Thoroughly enjoyable and great value, will certainly be back to this cosy little gem.
Had the 3 courses and half a bottle of wine deal for £20, which was absolutely brilliant value for money. Food was excellent, service was very efficiant and friendly. Really enjoyed the evening and will definitely recommend it to friends visiting Edinburgh!
Dining room impeccably set out with fresh table cloths, linen napkins and sparkling glassware. The special lunch menu was the choice of all 12. The food was prepared, cooked and presented very well but was just a little sparse. Extra bread was quickly produced after asking. Helpings perhaps 15% larger would have been easily consumed. That apart, the lunch was very good, the staff never pressing to hurry us along (so why the 1200 hrs start?). We drank 6 bottles of the house wine which was of a good quality and we sat for almost an hour after coffee and sweets nattering away - always a good sign of a good place to eat.
Individual cost of £34 (incl tip) made the meal very good value.
The toilets were immaculate and smelled fresh and airy.
We ate at the Bonham when we were in Edinburgh last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. We booked again when we visited this year and found it to be just as good. The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. Thank-you....See you again next year!
My wife and I visited the Bonham on a Sunday night to celebrate our anniversary. To say we were impressed is an understatement, we loved everything about this restaurant.
We were treated to a wonderful meal on the Market menu and this was delivered by an attentive but unobtrusive staff.
The aforementioned menu is remarkable value for money and we could not fault it, in fact it completely exceeded our expectations, we will definitely be returning next time we visit Edinburgh.
One final thing, we were looked after in the bar by "our man from Madeira" who served us a perfect G and T!.
