Restaurant Gordon Ramsay
Great food, all very inventive decisions. Amazing combination of flavours. Very special night for a special occasion. Certainly recommend the Ravioli and the Apple Tarte Tartin. But thats because they were even more exceptional than the other dishes. The service was brilliant and friendly. All amazing.
Lovely staff , excellent food , but the atmosphere is a bit stiff and the set menu could benefit from an à la carte option. Really by the book if you are a fine cuisine aficionado but hasn’t found its singularity yet. Would strongly recommend for very special occasions.
Simply superb in every way. For us - a once in a lifetime kind of night out. Would highly recommend, and cannot thank the staff enough for their excellent service!
I dined here lunchtime. Was disappointed to learn there was no lunchtime menu as there usually is, which was not disclosed to me before I arrived. This only begins again next week. This left me with the choice of a £130 3 course or £160 tasting prestige menu, over double what I had intended to pay for lunchtime without any other choice. As we were already there and not much difference in price between the menus we went for the prestige thinking that we may get more value.
Food-wise, I felt slightly underwhelmed. Presentation obviously exceptional but have certainly had better. This was my first 3 star experience and was expecting to be blown away. Gazpacho amuse bouche didn’t really do a lot. Foie Gras looked great but didn’t really Have the x factor over any other foie gras I’ve had. The turbot was a highlight however the langoustine ravioli we looked forward to was chewy and tough (albeit with great sorrel sauce). It seemed a shame to cook such brilliant ingredients in this way. Beef was slightly stringy and chewy. My other half’s pigeon was certainly a better choice for main than the beef with great textures and flavours. Mango soup seemed a strange course before an orange sorbet, both of which were little more than cleansers. Pavlova was tasty but again a little simple.
Wine selection was exceptional (could have been more on offer by the glass) and not too overpriced for what we had based on cost of wines online and the stature of the place/location. Pairings were advised to cost £125-155pp for 5 small glasses so we plumped for a £110 bottle of white suggested by the sommelier which didn’t have a crazy mark up from online.
There seemed to be many service staff for the amount of diners, over one per table and alway people buzzing around. Not too overbearing as you would expect. Very friendly atmosphere.
I wanted to love it as much as I was expecting to. But I just couldn’t. 3/5
Total bill for two (inc tax/service and wine/aperitif) £592.
Amazing. expensive but worth it and you pay for what you get.
Lovelly restaurant, got a voucher for my birthday for the a la carte menu. I understand that the gratuity wouldn't be included but I think that the VAT also wasn't included in the voucher, which is very odd for the UK. Left a sour taste after an incredible dinner.
Excellent quality of food with great service and friendly staff.
Food is was exceptional as usual. The service was brilliant. Had such a wonderful evening. Thank you
Fantastic first, post Covid, dining experience. Great to be back
First meal since lockdown ended.
You can’t go wrong with the classic dishes, they are timeless and fantastic.
All staff are happy to see you and do their job well. Genuine.
Can’t think of anywhere better to eat in the U.K. than here, it’s the best restaurant in the U.K.
I do wish they’d bring more classics back from 1998-2001 period though. They’re classic for a reason!
Friendly staff, nice ambience and great food. Great wine selection, appreciated the wine-food paring option.
Lunch or dinner here is always such an amazing experience, the tasting menu is absolutely divine, scallops, lobster ravioli, turbot, beef, cheese and the most extraordinary soufflé for desert .
Amazing service ...from James with some epic champagne choices and Jean Claude who is the king of Maitre De’s.
Matt Abe and his team in the kitchen continue to produce the most amazing tastes and flavours.
Was worth the wait through lockdown... if you get the opportunity to eat here you’re very lucky
Impeccable, so good to back at a restaurant, and everything was just marvellous
Excellent food, service and generally just a fantastic place to visit for a special night out.
Superb quality of food including creativity and presentation. My best and wonderful tasting menu experience. We have enjoyed every single dishes served.
Food was certainly not 3 Michelin Stars. More like a well executed 1 Star. But the service and hospitality was the best I have ever encountered in London, which made the meal wonderful
Beyond amazing! We had a fabulous time!
Restaurant is overrated. Tiny portions fir a lot of money. Will never go there ago. A rip off.
Great meals with my mum, will def come back! Thanks to the helpful team.
Lovely place !
I got great experience in this place.
I’ll visit again when I back to London
We celebrated a multi-generational family birthday there last Saturday. We could not have had a better experience - every request ably accommodated with such charm by the entire team. Food was excellent and I was very pleasantly surprised by the bill. This is not a cheap restaurant by any stretch of the imagination but it actually provides excellent value. Loved it!
THE BEST !
Fabulous experience celebrating my dad's birthday. Attentive service. Amazing food as expected from a three Michelin starred restaurant. What's also special is the small size of the place which really gives it a cosy feeling. We were also invited for a kitchen your after our meal by the maitre d, whose service was absolutely unparalleled.
Restaurant Gordon Ramsay was everything as I imagined plus more. We love traveling for good food and this was something that is well worth the wait. I would highly recommend this for the elevated experience, the high level delivery from the staff, and for the amazing food.
Excellent service, staff friendly, helpful and professional. Delicious food, you can tell the effort put into service and presentation
The best Resturant i ever visited
The food was perfekt and the service outstanding
This place is nr 1 on my list of resturants
A bit disappointing. Ingredients are perfect, but courses didn’t taste so perfect.
I expected more in every regard. I will not be there again. Portions were small, service was very subpar, and the value is absolutely horrid. However, I am glad I can tell people I ate there and then share my low review with them.
Just 3 Star Michelin !
Absolutely fabulous! Thank you for having us!
First experience at a three Michelin star restaurant and I must say that it achieved expectations...to an extent. The food was elite as was to be expected at such a famed restaurant, but if you’re looking for something more adventurous in your culinary travails, this probably isn’t the place for you. It does however epitomise the word ‘classic’ and that’s no bad thing. A small gripe was when I wanted to change the dessert on the ‘Menu Prestige.’ I had done this at previous restaurants with no issue or supplement, but Restaurant Gordon Ramsay required a £15 supplement to do this. Didn’t vastly take away from the overall experience but I think this still could have been waived. Overall the food was excellent and the venue was intimate, but not quite the three star experience I expected.
Fantastic food and service. A very enjoyable meal for a special occasion
Spectacular! The only distraction were other patrons that were using their phones and even an I-pad throughout the event. I personally feel that their disregard/disrespect was THE only thing that could have been better. While in London, I had lunch at a very old pub. I as amazed that they had created a electronics free zone, (be it cell phones, pads, or other electronic devices), and saw it enforced! Delighted that some one was willing to create an area that respected the art of eating and requiring patrons to practice civil conversation. One would never pull a cell phone out at Le Bec, per Se, or French Laundry, and in fact, I have never seen a cell phone used at the table at ANY of the fine three star establishment in Paris.
A memorable experience. GR was my destination for this trip to London and I was NOT disappointed. Also memorable was the remarkable pour of Chateau d’ Yquem! OFT
Awesome. Little bit noisy due to some Chinese, yet the food and service were on point.
It was fine, but not brilliant. After our several, previous visits, we walked away delighted, wishing to return. Not the case this time. The food was good and ambience also. The staff were disappointing with one of the waiters literally pushing my hand out of the way to serve a plate of food. The wine pourer left at least half-a-glass at the bottom of the Gevrey-Chambertin bottle, claiming it was sediment and then offered to strain it for me when I inspected the bottle. The set menu price is one of the highest in London, compared to other 3-Michelin star restaurants. In summary, not as impressive as before...
Best meal we’ve ever had. Perfect in every way, impeccable execution.
It was the most incredible service, the food was sensational, the service outstanding and the staff were very very friendly!
Superb time had by all, again.
