Food was good. Not sure why open table takes reservations cuz when I walked in the guy had no idea about reservations. You order and take a number to table. No service. They call when coffee is ready everyone from our party had to March up individually for our coffee drinks. Won’t be going back.

I needed a restaurant to go to before a show we were seeing at the Pantages. I wanted a sit down restaurant to enjoy a nice lunch. This restaurant is more of a coffee shop that serves lunch then a restaurant. We ordered a pizza and Caesar salad with chicken. It took 45 minutes to get our food that they packaged “to-go”. They had run out of chicken, and so we had to put turkey lu ch meat on the Caesar Salad. We were definitely disappointed and it was not the experience we were looking for.

Had dinner with 3 of us on a Thursday night. Venue is not as good as online pics show. The bar is upstairs from dining area which is strange. Service was slow. Waited for drink to come from upstairs bar for about 20 min. Food was not good. Pasta was chewy and lacked flavor. Pizza was very floppy. Will not be returning.

Ordered bottle of Chardonnay, but was given and charged for a more expensive bottle. Only 1 server on that night. She was very nice and was hustling, but that definitely impacted our experience.

The pluses: very convenient for parking your car at the hotel ($11 for valet) and having a quick dinner before a show at the Pantages which is only a long block away. The minuses: food is pricey and I ordered a Caesar salad which basically came as just plain lettuce and grilled chicken, which I paid extra for. No shaved parmesan cheese or egg which was part of the description. It tasted fine because the dressing was good but it was pretty basic for $21.

We arrived In between breakfast and lunch so there was a period of a few minutes where the kitchen was transitioning, the person who serviced us seem to not know what was going on because he handed us the breakfast menu, and we proceeded to order, and then he said oh, it’s 1130 we no longer serve breakfast.. so we then waited a few minutes and then ordered our lunch, which by the way was very tasty and delicious but we still had to pretty much self serve, asked for utensils/water whatsoever. We then realized that this is a self-serve restaurant for the most part except for the cooking part. We might be back for those awesome sandwiches!

I'm certainly sure that there was no one there who had actually been to a culinary school. Didn't know there was no table service and the bartender who was also the cashier seemed to forget we were standing there. This was at a few minutes before noon and they weren't that full buy perhaps understaffed. I ordered the lobster roll and my friend the short rib sandwich. They arrived after some time, solitary on a salad plate with not one piece of any sort of garnish. Kind of how I would serve my kids a p&b sandwich for lunch. My friend said her sandwich was good. For $26 mine was most unremarkable. Wondered where the lobster roll was from and dressed in so much of the mayo based sauce you really didn't get much taste of lobster. VERY disappointing.

The cinnamon toast latte is divine! Not too sweet either. I also ordered the chicken sandwich and it was good and big. My only complaint is that I came in at 10:45 for breakfast with a friend because online it said they are open for breakfast until 11am. But upon arrival, they weren't serving food at all! They said they would start taking lunch orders at 11:30am. So we drank lattes for 45 minutes until we could order food. A bit annoying, but everything was good, the hotel is so cute, and the service was actually great as well. I'd definitely go back... especially for that latte!

This is not a restaurant. It's a cafe. They don't take reservations. So open table was useless and misleading. It is a very nice place but mainly its coffee shop in the lobby of a hotel.

Not sure why we had to make a reservation - there was no table service. Order at cashier. Decent food, and the limited number of employees did their best but was a huge let down thinking it was an ideal place for a birthday dinner while staying at the hotel. Since we don’t have reservations anywhere else, we dealt with the disappointment.

I know restaurants are short-staffed, but the place wasn't even 1/3 full on a Friday night and we barely got service. Long wait for menus, for drinks (ice had melted), for full meal, and finally just got up to pay the check rather than keep waiting for someone to bring it. And the food was mediocre at best. Pizza was soggy, pork was small and overcooked... Certainly not worth these prices. And the place was LOUD, with a private event happening upstairs in the lobby. Was hoping to find a great regular spot for pre-Pantages theater dinner. Will keep looking.

Food and drinks are excellent! We had a little bit of everything - pizza, salad, and sandwich - all delicious. Some of the wait staff seemed a bit inexperienced, but that's completely understandable in these pandemic times. The space is great, but a bit noisy due to hotel bar on the second level. Location is perfect for a pre-Pantages event, or just walking around Hollywood Blvd. Also, don't miss out on the desserts!

Nice contemporary restaurant, fun atmosphere and nice staff. Food is good, though be aware that the entrees are on the smaller side - if hungry order an appetizer. Great before going to theater, very short walk to Pantages.

This place has so much potential. It doesn’t know if wants to be a cafe, restaurant, or bar scene. I chose it only for its convenience to the Pantages before we caught Hamilton. We walked in the main door on the street level and were told we could eat downstairs in the cafe or upstairs in the bar area. We chose upstairs only to find out out there was no table service and you had to order your food at the bar and the bartender would wave at you when your order was ready so you could bring it to your table. The food? Meh.

Restaurant was pretty empty but we still had to wait 5min or so for anyone to come over and acknowledge we were there. Service was extremely slow despite being a quiet night. Waitress must have been new because she couldn’t get anything right. I would not go back for dinner.

Food was great, good flavors and ample portions, until one of the entrees turned out to be a nightmare. The pork chop was one big piece of fat! Really shocking that they served that. They Server did remove it from our bill, but regardless, we will not return.

My friends and I went to JaneQ after we saw Hamilton at the Pantages Theater. The restaurant is a part of the Everly Hotel and has a great modern and sleek ambiance. The food is a mix of Mediterranean/Italian and is absolutely delicious! We had the brussels sprouts, margherita pizza, crab dip, and papatas fritas. The wine selection was great, and the servers were very nice. The only bummer was that we waited a solid 15/20 minutes to be asked what we wanted to order because there was a mix up between our two waiters. Other than that, it was overall a great experience!

While the food was fairly good, the ambiance, especially the noise level was beyond energetic - it was deafening. The 3 of us felt that the acoustics really impacted the enjoyment of the meal. I can’t recommend Jane Q’s for a special occasion or dinner. It may be fine for breakfast or lunch, but if you’re out for a special occasion, this is not the place.

Do not expect a fancy sit down dinner at this Cafe. It is not a restaurant. My son was given a very greasy chicken sandwich, doesn't come with any side. I ordered the Margherita pizza thinking that would be the safest. It had an insane amount of cheese on it and it was a greasy soggy mess. We really should've eaten somewhere else.

The restaurant was very good! We like the originality of the menu. However, the restaurant we're shortstaffed. Which we understand with Covid. They forgot my husband's meal. we had to sit and wait in the way in the corner because of the noise level. Overall a good restaurant. It was in the hotel that we stayed at and we are going to the theater so everything worked out perfect. Her waiter was extremely nice and attended in spite of the situation.

Cocktails were well balanced and delicious. My husband got the braised short ribs and I got the bahn mi. Both were so good that we were still talking about it the next day. We parked across the street in the Pantages parking garage for $15 because we were seeing a show afterwards.

We visited for dinner before Hamilton and had a very pleasant meal. The pizzas were delicious, the lobster spaghetti was excellent, but the star of the show was the Short Rib - those of us who didn't order it were mighty jealous. My husband and I will be returning just for that. Service was very pleasant but confusing - none of the plates came out at the same time, and we had to ask twice for my daughter's pizza to be served. Luckily we gave ourselves plenty of time before the show and were enjoying each others' company, but this aspect was definitely a problem. We were comfortable but there was only one other table; with all the hard surfaces, I can guess it would get pretty loud in the restaurant. The biggest drawback was the hard sunlight coming in from the western windows; I spent the meal in my sunglasses as the sunlight was hitting me square in the eye. I strongly suggest Jane invests in some shades similar to the ones on the southern windows. Overall we enjoyed our meal and will be back again.

Truly the perfect date night spot prior to seeing a show at the pantages! The food is excellent. The drinks are well crafted. The upstairs lounge was fun. There was a pool table and plenty of seating!
