Starters were good but unfortunately the main food was cold and overcooked- it seemed it had been left before it was served to us. The manager was kind and apologised, and offered us a reduction. The band was great and the overall experience of the night was good
Been many times, always a great vibe, even better with half price key chain Tuesdays..
Was ok but expensive for what you got
Food was good but the service even better
Absolutely horrendous service. We had booked 3 high-top tables a week in advance but 5 mins after we ordered our drinks we were told to pay our bill immediately and vacate the tables since we hadn't ordered food with our drinks. This caveat was written nowhere during the booking process but we were told to, and I quote, "go home and read the fine print". Won't be coming back.
I go here at least once a month for their buffalo chicken wings.
I’ve introduced so many friends and it’s become our go to place to meet up.
Great people watching, small appetizers and overpriced drinks. New Orleans inspired menu missed some essential ingredients like file, okra, and shrimp in the gumbo. Also, frankfurters are no substitution for andouille. The Mac n Cheese, however, was outstanding.
Great environment. Good choices of drinks. Food was good as well, but not many healthy choices.
Absolutely love this place. Ticks all the boxes! Cannot beat the food. They have changed the menu deals recently but still amazing.
Great restaurant and bar. Brilliant service. Highly recommend.
Terrible service , right from making the booking to leaving the building .
Terrible night , terrible food , terrible attitude , late table , asked to move , wasn’t sat together . 2 items added to our bill which we didn’t have .
Poor food , exspensive drinks .
Never ever would I recommend this place
Food outstanding service amazing atmosphere buzzing. Loved every minute looking forward to my next visit already.
I love blues kitchen, I came specifically for the special burger. The food was great but it is pricey, I'd come more if slightly cheaper, especially alcohol. The only other thing was the environment, it was crazy busy, which I know is out of the staff' control but the service was slower than usual
Brilliant! My friends and I enjoyed our visit, service was prompt, food was great, clean plates all round at the end!
The food was amazing, the band was outstanding. Nothing to complain about.
Our server Joe was excellent. We had a great time and the food was amazing.
Best meal I have had out in a while! Delicious food, great cocktail list and outstanding service. Will be back!
I would give it 8/10. The food was good and the music was fantastic.
Arrived on a Saturday night and straight away the atmosphere of the loud music and dimmed lights was right up all our streets. We were seated in a booth and a really lovely Scouse guy was our table waiter. Nice funny guy. The live music started at 1030 and that was really good. I would go here again for the drinks and music. However I would not go for the food and all 4 of us felt this. The starter of the chicken wings was lovely, however I did not enjoy my main- the gumbo which I've had in other places before, mine had 2 little bits of chorizo in and 1 bit of sweet potato. The rest was sauce, which was ok, a small amount of rice and pads of chills on top. My other half had ribs and burnt ends and he said his was nothing special and he wouldn't have it again It was defiantly overpriced for the food. I also hate when people are still eating and the person who isn't, has there plate taken away. Another guy tat wasn't our table waiter leant over the table and took it, he was rather abrupt at other times too. I hate that, just wait till everyone is finished! Also at 10, all the staff seemed to disappear! we wanted drinks as we were still eating and nobody was about for 30 mins. We went to the bar, must have all gone on their break at the same time. Also when we had or bill at the end we were so frustrated as they had added a service charge on with was 32.00. we swiftly had this removed and tipped our 1 waiter ourselves as we wanted him to get the full amount not everyone. We would 100% come again, just not for food.
Awesome food, brilliant live blues and soul music, lovely staff. I have been here quite a few times and have never had a bad experience. However, be prepared - it is busy and loud like you are eating in a jam packed bar.
My only negative is that you have a 1.5 hour slot, and we wanted dessert but the next people to have our table turned up early, so we were asked to move to the bar instead if we wanted dessert otherwise we would have run over the 1.5 hours...which was a shame because I have never had a single issue previously. Naturally we didnt bother getting dessert.
Been here a few times but not at night. The food is lovely, the drinks are great but above all, the service is amazing. The staff seem genuine and we particularly like the manager, wish I got his name. Such a fun night. As always you always get a few idiots in every place you go, but there were more people who just wanted to have a good night out. Highly recommended.
Good American grill with an energetic vibe. Massive selection of drinks and live music late night. Definitely worth a visit!
The restaurant was lovely ! We had a table for 2pm for bottomless brunch for 6. They we’re running late so we wasn’t seated for half an hour. It then took them another 15 minutes to take our order and give us our first glass of Prosecco, it was then a further half an hour until we hadn’t our 2nd glass so we then raised the issue and complained. The restaurant was so busy and understaffed ! The venue was lovely and ambience good but too busy for bottomless brunch ! Better evening venue for drinks as the service wasn’t great.
Great atmosphere and music. Service and food were also faultless. Our waitress (Charlie) was amazing. Visit here regularly and will continue.
Ok, being American, I'm a bit of a BBQ connoiseur. I've had BBQ in all the best places: Memphis, Kansas City, St Louis, Chicago, New Orleans and many more. The BBQ ribs at Blues Kitchen are very good. It's hard for me to give any place 5 starts on BBQ, but these are pretty good. I was a wee bit disappointed in the burnt ends, as they weren't actually burnt, and they were swimming in super sweet sauce. But they weren't horrible. The onion rings were homemade and delicious! The macaroni and cheese was superb! I'm not a huge fan of British coleslaw, but theirs was good. I don't drink alcohol, so I can't comment on the bar offerings. I ordered an iced tea, which, unfortunately, was not American. It was good, but not what I was hoping for. It was sort of a mixture of tea and lemonade, with mint added. I enjoyed it, but would like it if they would offer authentic American iced tea. The place is gorgeous looking. The decor is cool and funky. The booths looked quite cosy and spacious, but we were seated at a high-top table, which was half seat and half bar stools. I seriously dislike eating on barstools. There was a footrest on it, but it was too far down for me, so my feet dangled. My friend offered to sit on the barstool instead, but he also found it uncomfortable. So I moved and sat next to him on the seat side, but that made it hard to converse, and a little awkward as we weren't on a date. We were there in the early evening, between 5-6:30 and the noise level was low enough to be able to have a nice converstion. That was a really nice feature, because so many places are so noisy that it's impossible to have a nice time. There was no band playing, so I don't know what it's like when there is live music. Good music on the stereo, though. The service was excellent and all the wait staff were helpful and friendly. Being close to Halloween, many of them were dressed up, which I got a kick out of. It was a fun and playful feature. I love this place and will be back!
Great service food came out super fast! Live band added real energy to our night.
The service was friendly, a bit too friendly. The waitresses were very flirtatious and touchy. One of them touched my arm when taking my order which wasn't necessary. The mac and cheese lacked flavour and is tastier in the Brixton branch. The grain salad is overpriced but very tasty. I enjoyed it more than the mac and cheese.
Nice live music, great service and tasty food and beer :)
We were celebrating our third year anniversary at the Shoreditch location and had a really great time. Everything from the food and drinks to the ambiance and service was on point! We actually celebrated our first year anniversary at your Camden location a couple years back as well.
Really loved it! Thanks for a great night! :D
We liked the atmosphere, music and the interior design, the food was good but not outstanding. We were very happy with our waiter, but the hostess urged us to move to the bar after we paid, because one of our friends was leaving, probably because of table turnover. I understand the house needs to make business, but it made me feel I am just somebody they make money with. The hours and a half per table is rushing people to eat fast and not really enjoy their meal, and the bar doesn't have enough chairs or areas to get cosy. Never understood why restaurants do this. Didn't feel comfortable and relaxing at all. We haven't been at the table for more than an hour and something and we left to have more drinks elsewhere.
Food was okay, I preferred their last menu as I feel it had more variety however the food was still really tasty.
My only negative about my experience is that the staff there are extremely pushy it felt like they approached my table ever 5 mins regarding making my order it was clear they wanted me out of there as quick as possible to clear the table for the next person which I didn’t like. I never feel this way at the Brixton Branch, staff should take some tips from this branch
We had such a lovely time, we turned up a little early and they were very accommodating and seated us straight away although they were quite busy. We also had a selection of appetisers and sides as we didn't want a huge lunch and they were all delicious.
Poor overall, was more like a nightclub one of our parties meals had frozen prawns in the rice, wouldn’t return, was really disappointed.
The 2 hour time sloTS are so strict that 10 minutes before end they are already cadjuling you to finish. The food is a glorified McDonald's on steroids. It's forte is burgers so don't expect gourmet. Beer price is raasonable for a music venue and that's what this place really is.
We had a lovely waitress. She was very cheery and helped us order when we weren’t sure what we wanted (we wanted everything lol). Atmosphere is brilliant and everyone seemed friendly. Would definitely go again :)
Overall the place was quite lovely, I’ll deffo go there again. Not too pricy, friendly staff, nice food
Excellent service with good food and amazing music
Hello, lovely place FANTASIC COCKTAILS. All staff were very friendly and I love that there is no uniform.
The vegan burger deep has room for improvement. The vegan cheese however was lovely and overall good that there was an option for me.
Lovely tables and atmosphre
Great wings and massive short rib, cocktails good too
Really nice atmosphere. The food was good and with enough quantity in each plate. Good value. The life band that was playing was very good and we enjoyed very much. It is only a bit too noisy if you want to have a chat with the people sitting at the table. Nice service. I would definitely recommend it.
