The Britannia is Richmonds leading independent restaurant and bar.
Located in the centre of town and down a very pretty cobbled alleyway, we are next to historic Richmond Green and two minutes from the Waterside.
We have two large outside spaces - A roof terrace for traditional dining and a garden that lends itself to drinks and lighter fare.
The bar inside is cosy with the bustle of a busy space and the upstairs restaurant tables have white cloths and lamps for a more intimate feel.
Serving Day Boat Fish and Chips to grilled Lobster, Vegan and Vegetarian dishes along with award winning Mackens of Chiswick Steaks, simply the finest food in the area.
Our Wine list has more than a nod to the old world, showing not only the best of Burgundy and Bordeaux but also more eclectic boutique wines from Italy, Spain and even the USA.
We pride ourselves on our cocktails. Vesper Martinis sit alongside Hemingway Daiquiris and a large selection of Spritz for the summer months.

    This is our family staple pub for gathering’s and quick pit stop’s when in Richmond… Food ALWAYS fantastic and the menu is perfect and in-fact to many amazing dishes to pick from! Always adding new dishes to keep it exciting!! As for the service the staff, they go above and beyond and smiles all around every time no matter how busy they are - A request is never to much to ask! The landlord Ollie is an absolute gem… Because of him we have gone back again and again and have done for the last decade and more! Thank you team Britannia 🫶🏽

    Food mostly lovely but with a couple of disappointing dishes. Service friendly and polite but a little slow at times (it was very busy). Great atmosphere. Will definitely go back.

    Lovely little pub/restaurant hidden down a little street which gets away from the busy parts of Richmond on a sunny day. Lovely little courtyard table. Food is delicious (I’ve been once before and I remembered the food being lovely) The staff were lovely.

    I really like this place. It’s not a “pub” more a dining venue. But the food is excellent, the staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and the venue is decent. A strong recommendation if you’re looking for something a little for upscale that a typical pub.

    As it was such a beautiful day we sat out in the garden area which was very pleasant. The service was friendly and not pushy so we were given plenty of time to make our choices. We had 3 courses and all excellent and well presented. I had taken my friend for her birthday and she really enjoyed it. Everything was well cooked and tasteful and a good choice on the menu. Will definitely return.
