We had a great mix of happy hour appetizers, but we were disappointed in the omakase nigiri sushi medium combo. $60, 12 pieces, and the fish pieces were small. Not good value. Should have gotten specialty rolls ...

Matsu has an unassuming exterior but inside provides a pleasant environment for dining. We arrived during an evening when there was an event at Lumen Field and that turned out to be a bit of an issue as it was challenging finding parking. Not the fault of the restaurant, just advice to people thinking of coming to this restaurant when a game or event is on. The sushi was delicious and fresh, and there were a number of raw bar specials that my daughter sampled and enjoyed. I had the Omakase $40 sushi selection and was enjoyed the sushi very much. We also like the karaage appetizer. My only challenges were that it took some time to get our order in and we felt rushed at dinner - again, more the fault of having trouble finding parking than of the restaurant. And it was pretty noisy, so hard to have a conversation. Next time I might look to one of Matsu's sister restaurants, just for the ease of getting there.

Overpriced for what it is. If you’re going to spend a decent amount money on sushi, there are better places.

Food was served cold and when we mentioned the temperature the waiter said “oh that’s interesting “ No apologies or offers to address it. We won’t be going back

My family and I went to enjoy a meal together and to visit. We drove an hour to get there. It was so worth it!! The food was excellent and they had gluten free options with gluten free soy sauce! The service was probably the best we’ve experienced in the area! The staff were professional and kind. We never had an empty glass, which means a lot to me. We stayed longer than we should have visiting with our sons and we felt welcomed!! (Some restaurants in the area give you an hour, hour n half depending on your party size and ask you to leave). The staff even continued to fill our water glasses! Afterwards we walked around the street with all the decorative lights and statues. It was a great experience! Definitely will go to Matsu’s again for a great meal with our family.

Went for the omakase and had a terrible experience with it. Out of all of the omakase I’ve had this was the worst and still one of the more expensive dinners I’ve had. It had the same fish that you usually get with it but all of it was fishy, bitter and chewy so just over all not good. I will say that their sushi rolls were fine if that is what you are going for.

Visiting Seattle for the first time and we were looking for a Japanese restaurant to try. We were so pleased with the food and service. I highly recommend dining here for a date night or group meal.
