The Elgin is a bar & restaurant serving upscale fare situated just south of Rockefeller Center & steps from Broadway & Times Square. Our goal is to provide sophisticated cocktails, a carefully curated craft & seasonal beer list, amazing food in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Please join us!
The Elgin’s 4 main principals, Peter Pernicone, Darwin Conner, Paul Baum & Christine Trauben, have known each other for 30 years. They all grew up on the lower west side of NYC in Chelsea & had a goal of owning a bar together & could not be more excited about opening The Elgin. As an acknowledgment of their collective history, they named a signature cocktail—the Chelsea 1724—after their neighborhood. Darwin & Paul grew up in Chelsea on 17th St and Peter & Christine lived on 24th St. They are joined by Patrick Callaghan who has been working with Peter for many years.

The food and service were wonderful! However, it was comical that they charged me an additional $2 because I chose to not out ice in my bourbon??? I mean real how is that even a thing? Bizarre

Service was terrible. It took about 45 minutes to get food. We had to walk around and find someone to get our check and no one checked on us. Food was cold and dry except for the burger that one person in our party ordered

Very mad/sad that they had run out of the Thanksgiving platter which we had enjoyed immensely the Saturday after Thanksgiving last year.

The Elgin has been a reliable choice for post-parade Thanksgiving family meals for several years now. Their special holiday menu is great but they don’t limit selections, their full menu and kids is also available. The staff attentive. Service quick. Drinks perfect. Food great.

First time at Elgin. Terrific meal, many varied choices. Excellent cocktails and mocktails. Great service and desserts. The hostess was very obliging when we asked to move tables out of high traffic area. We would go again.
