The food was surprisingly tasty and plentiful. The scones were our favorite on our visit. However the actual layout and venue could use some clean up … I was seated facing old, dead plants and extra furniture stuffed into a corner which I don’t think is enjoyable when having an expensive high tea. Also in open table they asked if this was fit a special occasion- I had indicated it was to celebrate a birthday … the table next to us got what looked to be a birthday cupcake but our serve never did ask or even said anything - one would expect an acknowledgement at least.

This was my second tea at Fogrose, but first time at their cute new Kirkland location. The food is elevated from the standard finger sandwiches, with fresh salmon, eggs Benedict and shrimp on couscous. The tea service is fun, ordering by the cup, rather than the pot, giving me the opportunty to taste several teas.

We enjoyed the afternoon tea yesterday and everything was so good! The tea list is short compared to Queen Mary Tea but loved how unlimited pours were included and you are able to try something different each time. The finger foods were all delicious and included a good balance between savory and sweet (and not too sweet which was great). The location was just a bit hard to find as there isn't a big sign outside, and the ambience felt a little too quiet...can't remember if there was music in the background or not. A bit pricey at $79 per person but def worth a splurge to try!

The afternoon tea was a wonderful experience, and I like the Kirkland location. It is a relatively small venue, but it is beautiful and classy. The day I went with a friend, there was only one server and one hostess. The menu doesn't seem to change much, we had similar items when we went to the Bellevue location for Mother's Day. I wish they would explain the reasoning for the 20% service charge for a table for two!! Other than that, the food was yummy.

I love the idea of a tea room. My hope is the owner finds a location more conducive to a ‘tea room’ environment. The tea was wonderful. We were provided with a number of options. The food was okay, but over priced. I appreciate the fixed-fee for the tea service. Maybe, offer options for people who want a less complicated (and pricey) option.

The short version is, we were running late by a few minutes as soon as we parked, someone hit my car, so we had to call to let the restaurant know. They were so kind and understanding! We even had trouble finding the place due to our panic, but they were super sweet about it and helped us find the right door. The staff that greeted us were super hospital and did an amazing job at accommodating us including food allergies. We really appreciate the empathy in our chaotic day and it was a wonderful breather. Food was great. Personally I prefer my tea just a bit stronger, but it was still nice. The aesthetic are impeccable and we really enjoyed the set up. We went at the latest time slot, was not very busy and very easy to have a nice chat. Thank you for the experience!

The food was great and exceeded expectations. I enjoyed the teas as well. Tried only two and would have loved to try others. The atmosphere was very nice. We admired the dishes and the silverware. All very pretty. The waiter was kind but told us when we came in that we had exactly 90 minutes until we had to leave. That was literally the first thing he said. Might not have been his best day. When some of my guests asked for cold tea, he was a bit overwhelmed at first but delivered. Over all a good experience. A bit pricey but I enjoyed it. After all, it was my birthday.

Lovely experience! Kind and attentive staff, tea towers that were both visually attractive and very tasty, and fabulous (and bottomless refills) selection of freshly brewed teas.
