Return visit! Had an opportunity to return two weeks after my first visit, this time on a busy Saturday evening and was not disappointed! Food & service was excellent despite the restaurant being full. In my previous review I said this place was a gem and not to be missed, Jinbar got even more shiny last evening.

Our first visit to Jinbar but certainly not the last. We loved all our dishes, including the presentation, the taste the variations in the spices and the flavour. Having four people in the party allowed us to share several dishes - we loved the beef carpaccio, and shrimp and calamari appetizers. The fried chicken of course was a hit especially when supplemented by a few veggie dishes. The service was excellent, the staff friendly, welcoming and attentive. The dishes were arriving gradually so we could sample at leisure with the empty dishes disappearing very quickly. Despite an open kitchen and being seated at the table close by we were able to have a good conversation without an excessive noise. We enjoyed visiting a classic old Calgary setting with the decor adding to the relaxing ambiance. Overall a wonderful experience.

JinBar is a favourite of ours. The bulgogi beef pizza is amazing and crave-worthy and the Korean fried chicken is the best we’ve had! Chef Jinhee Lee (of Top Chef Canada renown!) and her talented staff are continually adding unique and delicious dishes and exotic drinks to her menu, keeping it fresh and interesting. This is a must try if you are looking for a special and fun night out!!

This place is a gem! Service was excellent, attentive, efficient & friendly. The food was incredibly flavourful and was on the table seconds after it was ready. This is some of the best Korean fried chicken in town, the veggie dishes were truly wonderful. Don’t miss this place!

They can do much better for the money value. I was surprised by the quantity of each menus and especially disappointed at the bingsu dessert menu. It didn’t include a single ingredient of the authentic bingsu. They should change the menu to a strawberry sundae. Under the concept of Fusion, they put whatever popular names from Korean cuisines.

From the food to the service, everything was impeccable. I took my best friend for her birthday dinner and it was both of our first times in. The food was exceptional; there wasn’t one thing that we e thoroughly enjoy. The service was phenomenal. Everyone we spoke with was so kind and attentive and our server Daniel was spectacular. We felt very taken care of all evening. The ambiance is great and fostered a great dining experience. I can’t wait to return!

Absolutely amazing food!! Favorites were the mushroom pizza and watermelon salad but everything was delicious. Fun cocktails too. Cool old building.
