Food was exceptionally well prepared, especially the meats, this night, considering its complexity in French brasserie style. Pretty innovative. I had chicken-sausage gumbo in great savory sauce. Wife had frites appetizer topped by short rib, again innovative, at least to us. Peach tort was also a delight and good conclusion.

Our meal began with flat champagne, we were early and I saw the bartender pour yesterdays champagne into our glasses. We sent it back. Dinner continued with charcuterie consisting of old stale crackers, one mediocre cured meat, a decent terrine with pecans candied with corn syrup. Real disappointed for $42.

Extremely limited but expensive menu. I ended up up choosing I disliked the least rather than picking something I actually liked. Service was very good and attentive. We were seated in the front section which has no ambience whatsoever. Overall very disappointing.

OMG, this place was soooo good from beginning to end. We were immediately seated next to a window. We ordered the tuna tartare for an appetizer….delicious! I ordered the braised short rib and my husband ordered the gumbo. Both were excellent. We ended with the lemon tart dessert. It was so delicious. To accompany our meals, we had a glass of Prosecco, a glass of Riesling wine. I then finished the night with a lemon drop martini and my husband ordered the Penicillin cocktail.

I tried the french onion soup which had a great broth and just the right amount of onions. For my entree I had steak frite. Their fries are wonderful. I always enjoy dining there.

They remodeled, and re-decorated this place. Unfortunately, it feels kind of sterile. The salad I ordered was unremarkable with wonder bread, bread crumbs… our server was very attentive, and excellent!

The food was pretty bad. Brussels sprouts were good. Caesar salad was tasteless and salmon on top was overcooked. Dessert was okay. Really noisy.

The food was EXCELLENT. Pricey, but I suppose we're paying for the convenience of having Kendall's so close to the theatres and to Walt Disney Concert Hall. It was evident that they were short staffed. The servers did their best. Again, the food was superb.

There were a lot of flies in the restaurant! Also, since many of us go before a play or opera, have special perks for us - lunch specials if you are dining before a performance or get extra drink of your choice if you dine 3 times before a show.

We were going to the Taper and wanted to park and eat close to the theater. We had a wonderful French waitress. She recommended the Branzino. We both ordered it and it was delicious. Cocktails were also very good. We shared gelato for desert. I would definitely recommend Kendall’s Brasserie.

Don’t use Open Table to reserve at Kendall’s, they don’t update their hours. We arrived to find the entire restaurant closed. Kendall’s apparently is only open if there is a show going on at one of the theaters at the Music Center.

Great food. Beautiful space. And, being at "ground zero" for the CTG and Disney Hall, the restaurant is no doubt very busy in short amount of time. However, ownership/management must take better advantage of this rush of business. We had a 5:45 reservation for inside, but were advised to outside. When we declined and wished to be sat inside, we were warned it would be slow service, and it was. Yet, there were empty tables in the side room where we were sat. At its most basic, there was simply not enough wait staff for the 2 hour window between 5 and 7pm. When we left at 7pm the restaurant was nearly empty. Why not staff every section from 5pm-7pm, and cut the staff who's sections clear out? We would've ordered more drinks and food, but the waiter we had, who was awesome and kept apologizing, disappeared for 20+ min at a time. We saw other customers walk out without ordering. It's crazy that ownership/management does not want to take advantage of its "pole position" and cash in, when people are trying to give them money! It can be done. There's a way to make everyone happy. It starts with adequately, even overly adequately staffing the dining room and kitchen for 2 hours on nights when Dudamel is conducting at Disney Hall. The rest of the time staff normally.

was okay .. nothing special considering the price . Had a hair in our dessert which was very disappointing . Was deep enough in the dessert expect it was during prep . Server was attentive. Overall not the experience I remember and definitely had lost it’s french feel /flair

We have been dining at Kendall’s for over a decade. We go back because it is always good - food, service. We just know that its noise level will be loud until diners leave for the LA Phil or something at the Center Theatre group.

Pleasantly Surprised at how many vegetarian options we found! Everything was delicious! Service was quick and efficient knowing that many were patrons of the Music center who were going to a performance after dinner. Wine selection is excellent too. We had cheese board, potato soup, Brussels sprouts, veggie linguine and fries. Definitely going to be our go to restaurant during visit to music center.

My husband and I are long time subscribers at Disney Concert Hall and in years past, were frequent diners at Kendall's. Compared to previous visits, and perhaps different owners, we found the attention to food detail this visit was lacking: my skirt steak was served rare instead of medium as requested. My dish promised chimichurri sauce, but delivered none. Our server promised she would stager our main courses because our appetizers were large. They were instead delivered while we were still eating our appetizers. We explained our dissatisfaction but did not send the food back because we knew we could take the food home and have someone else eat it; it just would not be me. Our server was understanding, apologetic and offered a dessert and coffee, gratis; which was a lovely gesture.

Great place to have a nice dinner before the Opera! The food selection was just okay, but the food itself was delicious! The wine selection was good. Price is on the high side, but acceptable. The restaurant is located in the music center, so just park your car at the music center, walk up to the restaurant, and then walk up to the music venues. I recommend this restaurant.

We have been going to Kendall’s for years befor shows at the Music Center and Disney Hall. This May have been our last time. Apparently the new owners thought they would improve on the lovely traditional brasserie look it once had with gorgeous tiled floors, beautiful dark wood panels, and lovely bar. Intesd, the changes destroyed the atmosphere. It is now a mishmash of bad taste that does not fit the venue at all. Some of the panels have been lightens so it looks like an unfinished renovation. Some walls are painted with some modern colorful themes that in themselves are not terrible, but again they don’t go with the brasserie ambience.the tiled floors survived the rampage thankfully. Perhaps a next owner will have a chance to restore the place back into the lovely traditional and historical look it used to have. The service was friendly but needs polishing. My salad plate, long after i was finished, new course served, remained on the table until I had to ask the server to remove it. The onion soup was tasty but too salty, the ceaser salad was bland and uninteresting, the tuna tartare was good, the mussels were the best we tasted that evening, the pasta with mussels and clams was lukewarm and lackluster, the branzinno was good so was the steak though it was not warm enough. We were a part of five and are now looking for another restaurant to go to before a concert. Really it is too bad.

We enjoy Kendall's, have been going there for years. It's great to have a nice meal before the curtain rises at 7 or 8 p.m. I have feedback about one item: the Caesar Salad. It was unlike any I had before because the lettuce was chopped too fine and the dressing was anything but a true Caesar. The steak I had on it was excellent, though. We'll be back, but I just wanted to say something about it, as I was disappointed.

I definitely recommend Kendall’s for pre-performance meals at the Music Center. Meals are paced at your request and have never been too rushed. Ambiance is good and staff are friendly. Kendall’s is my first choice when I’m at a Music Center event.

Excellent service, pleasant atmosphere, ideal location to visit Disney Music Center when attending a concert. Prices are relatively high and the food is just fair. Spaghetti seafood dish was very mediocre.....sea bass was good.
