The hotel and ambiance looked amazing! The hotel concierge smiled and said hello. I said I had a reservation at the restaurant. He smiled and gestured “right over there.” I had great expectations that soon went downhill. There was a host stand with no host. I looked at the menus at the bar. The bartender never said hello or asked if I wanted a seat. When I walked around to the dining area I told the server I had a reservation. He said “Oh. Anywhere.” I asked if he needed to check me in. He said “Oh. No.” So I wondered if I would even collect my Open Table points for making a seemingly unnecessary reservation… The Whipped Feta app and Jameson cocktail were delicious, so I was excited for the main course. The Mary’s chx was dry and chewy and the lobster mashed seemed like just a scoop of lobster on top of mashed potatoes. I thought it’d have some decadent drawn butter in or on it… Not as exciting as the name and price allured. I didn’t send it back b/c I didn’t have time to wait for another as it was pre show; but I could barely finish the chx. I expected better service and fresher chx for not an extensive menu (4 entrees, 2 sandos, 2 salads) for this boutique restaurant and hotel combo.

NOT WORTH IT. How do you serve a menu for dineLA but you run out of items and only have “cheap” salads and soups as an offer? The food was bland and mediocre. Our server disappeared after serving the entree.

Instead I walked into a karaoke night situation & a guy playing a saxophone loudly at me & my friend while we were trying to enjoy our steak! Very weird choice of entertainment... it felt like I was at a dive bar! The food was whatever... the Cesar was not very good & the steak I ordered was very chewy. The meal tastes as if it was over cooked & reheated! Just sad about the entire thing & wish I didn't waste my money here.

All around amazing experience! I was pleasantly surprised by their $45 3 course brunch that includes bottomless mimosas, Bellini’s, and bloody Mary’s. The food was delicious. Patrick was awesome! The live musician was great! I’ll definitely be back!

The place is beautiful. There is live music on certain days. I love the music is very relaxing. The entire atmosphere amazing. The service excellent. The food delicious. The drinks on point. It is a great place for any occasion. There is valet and street parking. Perfect spot if you want to impress someone 😉

Went here for Mother’s Day brunch. Was so excited to celebrate and have a great meal. We arrived for a 3pm reservation so understandably the restaurant was close to empty and the live music was packing up so we didn’t get to enjoy the live music we were expecting. Upon arriving, we got to choose the table which was nice but no one really explained to us the setup or provided any menus or explained anything. It was buffet style so I do know we serve ourselves, but at least the host or waiter could’ve welcomed us and explained the setup and options. My husband ordered drinks while I got up to get food. The waiter took my order for a mimosa. I was already on my second plate before we had to flag down the waiter to ask about the drink, then he replied “oh you want 2 more?” And we explained that we haven’t even received the first. He apologized and got us the drink but took what felt like forever! And then we look around, everyone else was being served their drinks no problem, even people who came in after us. To top it off, the waiter was giving roses to all the tables as Mother’s Day gesture but for some reason never offered my table (when clearly I have an infant baby and a toddler seated at our table). My husband ended up getting up himself and grabbing one for me to make me feel better. Overall, the food was OK but just felt really ignored by the staff and not welcomed like I would expect a Mother’s Day “experience” to be. This was my first and likely the last time I’ll be dining here.

We went here to celebrate my husband’s bday! Everything was great from our waiter Kyle to the delicious food. We ate from the Dine La menu! $45 for a yummy 3 course meal. Highly recommend!

I went because of DineLA & they mentioned they had jazz. The jazz was high school kids and for a Saturday night it was dead which made the service annoyingly & overly attentive. Overall it was underwhelming. DineLA value was good but won't go back.

We had a chance to stop by on our way to the Pantages on the recommendation of a friend. The waiters were extremely attentive, especially Alexis, and I really enjoyed the steak fries. My friend had the Scottish Salmon, and he says it was to die for. Will definitely return!!! It's right across the street from Netflix, pretty cool area!

This is a hidden gem in Hollywood. The salads and small bites for lunch are healthy and delicious. Our server was extremely attentive and helpful. The ambience is very elegant and welcoming. A great discovery!

Really bad service and experience. We came for an event and decided to have brunch with some friends beforehand. The waiter got two of our orders wrong. When what seemed like the Assistant manager came over and we told her what happened she didn’t apologize but responded with “so all you need is chicken and a salad”. Then The manager came over and apologized and he asked if we wanted dessert. We said no but if the mistakes and wait time could be reflected in the bill it would be appreciated. He said sure. They gave us $8 off when one of my friends had to wait almost the entire time we ate without her salad as did I for half of the mistake they made in my order. Then they added gratuity already on horrible service. We told them this was just unacceptable. In the end they gave us a more proper discount but would not eat here again! The service is just bad. They need to hire people that have real experience and customer service courtesy.

We made a res for 5pm as we had an event across the street at 6. Nobody greeted us to seat us, I had to ask a server where we should sit, saying we had dinner reservations. Water and menus were brought over. Then we sat .. and sat. Eventually we got a wine order in. Then we sat and sat with our menus on the table. The restaurant was practically empty except for the bar which was starting to buzz. Then I eventually managed to get the attention of the server again and she was “oh you want to order food?” Anyway we put orders in and after that things went better (another server topped up our wine). However, I’m not sure we’d come back again as there are so many other places to try. Maybe they were just having shift issues. The bartender seemed to be the most competent at doing his job. The food was just above average too.

Food was good, not great. Service was friendly, but very slow. Only two other tables of guests made for very quiet eating and we could easily hear our own conversation, but we felt it had a lack of any energy at all. We were ready for a fun, exciting night in Hollywood, and we got a slow, low key start at ALK. I think the place has potential and decent location, but the night we were there wasn't great. The best part was the huge, gold "I love you" hand outside. We loved that!

It was okay overall. They had a brunch but no new fast. If you didn’t do the buffet, lunch menu was the alternative. The food was good and the service was great. Just wish they had more breakfast choices on Sunday brunch.

When we got there we thought we were in for a good service and a good time. It took them a while to just give us water and start our drink orders (there were only two other tables seated when we were there). The restaurant has HUGE open doors which is really nice but 1. it’s almost 100 degrees outside right now and 2. the amount of flys that came in was awful. We ended up ordering the lamb lollipops and chicken wings - the food didn’t taste as good as it looked but the drinks were tasty - we got the Strawberry Bellini’s. But we only had a few bites of our whole meal because the flies got overwhelming to us - they would land on our food, the table, everywhere. We spent more time swatting the flies away than actually eating. The flies became too much so we left after a few bites. Overall, the speed of service, quality of food, ambience, and the amount of flies made this a disappointing visit.

The food was truly inedible. The lettuce in the Caesar salad was wilted. The sauce on the pasta tasted like flour. The sliders were tough as leather. And the canned crab must've been open for hours because it had gone off. The tonic water was flat. They're were only a few diners in the restaurant, but it was literally 20 minutes between courses. When the chef gave us a dessert on the house, the runner brought it before our entrées arrived. I know it's a budget hotel, but you'll get better food and service at any fast casual joint than here. They've obviously cut corners everywhere, especially in hiring competent people and training even the basics. An additional word of caution; the restaurant is on the street level directly across the from a busy fire station. With the walls rolled back, you can expect your meal to be interrupted several times by deafeningly loud sirens and blasting horns. All in all, the evening was so bad it was comical. We left disappointed and hungry.

They don’t have kids meals so my 8 year olds dinner was $25 for strips and an order of fries( which was the best thing there) the server forgot our appetizer. I should have known it wasn’t good when there was only 2 other tables were there.

My experience at ALK was wonderful. The atmosphere was great, the service was just right (they paid attention to us without being bother some), and the food was very tasty. The location is very convenient - close to all the “happenings” in Hollywood. It was the perfect setting for catching up with a friend I hadn’t seen in a while.

The worst food and service I’ve ever had in Los Angeles. The charcuterie board was polish sausage and sliced Brie from Trader Joe’s. The bread they offered were hamburger buns. Warm Caesar salad with store bought dressing. Wine never came. Inexperienced server didn’t know anything on the menu. Vegetable came but entree never did. This place is a joke/. Avoid.

I went for the last night of Dine LA with a couple of friends and had a fantastic dining experience. Chill open concept hotel vibe with delicious food served in visually pleasing and generous portions. Our server, Jasmine, was outstanding!
