Food was good but service was slow. The restaurant was freezing cold and we had to wear jackets thru the whole meal. It was more comfortable outside than in.
I thought the mac and cheese burger was going to be good and the burger was very dry no cheese the bun was actually stale and parts of the bun fall off as im trying to hold the burger it was not a nice dining out experience. The waiter was nice but my mother wasnt happy about no appetizer plates being given and no steak knife for her ribs. The ribs were not tender and she had to cut them individual very tough to take a bite off the rib they needed to be cooked further to tenderize. Under 5 minutes all the food came out which I knew right away its not cooked to order with care everything is obviously cooked and given out. The neighboring table had cold mashed potatoes that she even told us was hard. And my mother commented they may be piped out ahead of time. I always wanted to go to Double O now I know not to go back.
As always, very good
Fantastic food and service
Pleasant, our waitress was excellent and the food was great
Was only expecting an upgrade from a standard diner - it well exceeded my expectations. The menu was exciting, the food was delicious, and the portions were very generous. Server was great, and very attentive to my young children as well as what the grownups needed!
Sat out side fantastic night food and atmosphere
Great food and service
The Double O Grill is a nice, convenient place to have a meal. There is ample parking and an extremely large dining area. The ambiance is nice. The menu is extensive. Our service was a bit slow and inattentive but the server was nice.
Great place to go for a casual meal. Wide variety and quality food.
We go to Double O regularly, and the food and service are usually very good. This most recent visit found the restaurant very busy, and the staff at the hostess station and the waitstaff seemed a bit harried. Despite this, we were seated promptly and they were very accommodating in giving us a table that wouldn't subject my elderly mom to a cold draft from the door or having to deal with any steps. It was my understanding that there were some issues in the back, as well (i.e., the brewer was broken, so no iced or hot tea). We weren't in a hurry, so the slight delays in service didn't really bother us. Our waitress was very nice and made sure we were well taken care of. We all enjoyed our meals, except my mom--she had a turkey burger, which she didn't think was very good. I didn't try it, but it did look rather dry. The rest of our party of 4 thought the food was excellent. One had ribs, another had a cordon bleu sandwich and I had the rigatoni marsala. We also had the steamed pork dumplings to start. They used to serve the dumplings in a small, round metal pot; they now serve them on a plate. I prefer the pot--it keeps them more warm and moist. My SO was also disappointed to learn that they no longer serve mashed sweet potatoes (only SP fries). It was noisy, but it was packed, so I'd expect the noise level to be pretty high. Overall, we enjoyed the food and the service was good; it remains one of our go-to restaurants.
Quality food in a busy, casual setting.
Great food, great service. A little loud - but it WAS a Friday night.
We had a great time, me and my friends sat for a long time catching up and the waitress was very kind she gave a us space but came back to check on us periodically. Never once did we feel like we were being rushed out, the luxury of eating at a large restaurant. The food was delicious and the mango juice cocktail was delicious!
We have been here B4 for the Sunday Breakfast/Brunch and love it. The Buffet is out of this world, never have we seen a better buffet.
Never had dinner here, gave it a try last night. We were somewhat disappointed. Thought it would be Higher Class, since the Buffet was Fab. My wife complained about her Salmon, it was a very small portion especially for the price. The Steak selection on the menu is limited. I had the NY Strip, decent size steak, a little tough and over cooked, again pricy. The deserts were mostly just "works of art", very fancy with lots of (mostly) whipped cream. We don't recommend the deserts, go to "The Daily Planet" for your deserts. WE WILL BE BACK FOR SUNDAY BUFFET.
For Steak & Salmon, SORRY, we will go to Outback or Texas Road House.
Food and service consistently good as usual; it’s our go- to location that never disappoints.
My friends and I had a great time thanks to the waitress and also the food.
Our service provider was on point. She was friendly and obviously seasoned.
Food was good and we all felt comfortable and not rushed. Our meal portions were more than sufficient.
Ambiance was actually more quiet than normal , which we liked, perhaps because we met at 5 pm, it was raining and it wasn't crowded at all.
Love going to Double O Grill when I'm in the area. They are always organized and expecting you when you book on OpenTable. The service is always good and our waiter was funny as well. Food is always good. From the steak I had to the hamburgers. We will keep returning!
Food was either tasteless or salty
Brunch was good but $9.00 for a Mimosa is way overpriced!
Seated right away, even though we were early, service was quick and efficient, had 3 appetizers, all were very good, Italian coffee also very good, but could’ve been hotter, dessert (custard tart with berry topping) was ok ( I’ve had better). Table for 2 was a bit cramped as it was between 2 larger tables, but overall, it was a very good experience.
Place was a little busy which made the waitress personal conversation with her peers a bit of a distraction. Result inattentive , food also came out cold . I wonder why . All in all been here before and had great experiences . This must have been an off day for everyone. Wait, it was Saturday ... get it together Double O
Love this place; service is great and food is good. Not too fancy -bar and grill atmosphere. Wide variety on the menu.
Great, fun place! Service was excellent! Love the lite lemon drop martini 🍸
I love to go here for either family gatherings or just a quiet night out for dinner.
We were sitting near a rear exit and kept getting a cold draft as individuals chose this exit rather then the main exit. The mimosa was great the best I've had. The meat was rare looks medium under the light. My eggs were cold but otherwise it was a great outing.
Really great experience. Our meal was quick and delicious and our server was wonderful.
Did not get my points
Been here many times. Always pleased. Food is good staff is always nice
Great food and menu selections!
Good selection of food, great drink menu and very good service. Would eat here again!
I've been to the Double O several times now. The service is very good and the staff is friendly and efficient.
I've sat in both the main dining area and the area behind the hostess station and I think the latter has a nicer atmosphere, with cozy booths and warm lighting. The food is pretty good, although it could use a few tweaks. As soon as you're seated, they bring bread and a small dish of tomato salsa (bruschetta), which is a nice touch. On this visit, I ordered a cup of chicken soup and I split a turkey burger with fries with my mom. The soup was tasty but the pasta in it was overcooked. The turkey burger (good, but not extraordinary) was topped with lettuce, tomato and grilled onion (we opted out of the cheese) on a soft bun with two cornichon pickles skewered to the top, and came with a basket of fries that were hot and delicious. My brother had one of the strip steak entrees that was served with white rice. He said it was ok, but it didn't seem to overly impress him. My boyfriend had the simple salmon with spinach and swapped out the roasted potatoes for mashed sweet potatoes. He said everything was excellent; the salmon in particular was perfectly prepared. For dessert, we split the creme brulee duo (one chocolate, one vanilla). I never had chocolate creme brulee; it was very good, with a mild chocolate flavor, not overpowering. The vanilla version was excellent. It looked like a lot when it was served, but the dishes are wide and shallow, so it was more than enough for the two of us, but not as overwhelming as it first appeared. My brother had a generous slice of the key lime pie, which he said was very good, as well. I've had several other entree offerings on the menu on previous visits, and I find the food to be pretty good overall--maybe not always "knock your socks off" good, but solid and consistent for a restaurant in this area. I recommend the Double O Grill.
Double O is the place my group always seems to pick when we are planning an impromptu get together. The food is always great and they never rush you out.
Food was very good. There is a lot of options to chose from. I found it hard to pick which meal I wanted
Everything was great the ease making reservation on there app, service, waitress, food, very nice size portions, except for my own liking a little on the dark side on the lighting.
Always a great Brunch , wait staff friendly and helpful the food always delicious
Wonderful meals, good value.
Good restaurant to meet friends with a variety of items on the menu.
Family weekend at Marist College. Took my both girls out to a family dinner. We all enjoyed our meals and service was wonderful.
