The Inn at Pound Ridge by Jean-Georges
We have eaten here many times in the past , this time service was poor, the menu never changes , the food was bad ,we sent it back ,they gave us free dessert, unfortunately I think we will not be back ‼️
Food was mediocre but venue and ambiance is great
Great food and beautiful place to eat
Unfortunately we sat next to a father who had to loudly announce to his daughters their 15 minute scheduled vacation weekend. I would have hated to be on that trip....namaste
Delightful at the bar and downstairs. If you'd like to be on the same level as valet parking, request upstairs.
Absolutely awesome......from the service, food, gardens, and ambiance - perfect every time. Love this place. Thank you
Great evening all around. Excellent food, great atmosphere, great service.
Always great !
Terrific. Was happy to be on lower level next to window as sun set.
Always a pleasure. I’m hoping some day the noise level will be addressed but the food is absolutely delicious!!!
Yes, the dinner was delicious and the chef was able to accommodate one member of our party's food choices.
I had my birthday dinner at the Inn and it was fabulous! Our server was attentive and helpful in making our dinner selections. It was hard to make choices since all of the menu items were focused on farm fresh ingredients! We enjoyed the pea guacamole, the tuna tartar, the citrus, ginger sauce was so good, we needed a spoon to keep drizzling it on the tuna! I had the pasta, fettuccini with ricotta, eggplant, spicy golden tomato sauce and my husband had the corn crusted tuna with the corn broth, perfectly executed. Lastly, I ordered the chocolate cake with the toasted marshmallow frosting. Finally I found a place where the chocolate cake tastes like chocolate. It was moist and just delicious. I posted pictures of our meal and received lots of great comments. Yes we will be back and bring our out of town guests to this great restaurant.
Yes- I would recommend but the service can be lacking- especially if you are seated in lounge area- we were virtually ignored. And this 4th time at restaurant where something listed on menu not available- this time no pork chop-
The food was absolutely wonderful. The service was a little slow and spotty. We had a great table with extra room and were able to talk.
This place is consistently great. We were a party of 6, and every bite of every dish was delicious -- from the pizzas to the soup, the burger, several fish entrees, the pork chop, and the desserts. The service was excellent, and we simply love the ambience. Not a negative thing to say.
As always the evening was delightful. A pure treasure of a restaurant in upper Westchester.
the food was phenomenal, the decor was nice, and the service was great. Great place for a special occasion or nice evening out!
We have been to the Inn at Pound Ridge several times and my overall impression is that it is very inconsistent. The restaurant itself is very pretty, warm and inviting. Our service was very slow and this is not the first time I have encountered this- our server was very friendly, but the service was slow.
My husband had an asparagus appetizer and liked it. I had gazpacho and it was completely under-seasoned. I had a fish entree, which overall was fine, but nothing special.
For the price and given the service and overall food, I won't be rushing back there.
Menu was excellent. The gazpacho was incredibly complex and original...and we loved it. Monkfish, while a small portion of fish was exceptional. Service, good, but frenetic
Awesome meal and great service for a surprise birthday celebration.
Very good service and they were even able to give my 6 year old a delicious pizza that was way above most kid menu offerings. She devoured it! Our asparagus salad and burrata were delicious and so was the salmon.
We just moved to the area and we will be back!
Excellent meal in a beautiful space. One of the best in Westchester.
Always a special place with great food and service
Everything was excellent...food, service, setting, etc. CAN NOT WAIT TO GO BACK.
Wonderful dining experience. The food was outstanding!
Lovely setting, warm atmosphere, excellent service and the food is great too! What more can one ask for??? and, they did have our table ready exactly on time. The chicken lightly coated in cheese was fabulous and the desserts were amazing. It was a bit noisy, but where isn't it noisy on Saturday nights?
Celebrating anniversaries. Meal and service were great
Always a great time.
Our dinner was lovely. The service and food was excellent. I would’ve given it a five star review, but the almond sorbet was inedible. Thank you to the waitstaff for paying so much attention to detail and making our experience so lovely.
Lovely service and a beautiful room. We were seated quite far apart from other tables so the conversations didn’t interfere. Special food
My wife and I had been out all day and were on our way driving home (to CT) when we thought maybe we should stop to get something to eat. I remember having been to The Inn a few years back so I was able to make a last minute reservation 30 minutes ahead.
We got to the restaurant and found the place packed with guests, both in the bar and in the dining room.
We were able to order the food and drinks afterba short wait. The food, both the appetizer and the main courses were great. We both ordered different fish dishes, salmon and monk fish.
Absolute worth the visit and every penny. Will definately go back.
It was a birthday celebration. Everything about the evening was wonderful except the service. From the beginning our server was not on his game. It took way to long to take our drink order and then we waited more than 15 minutes for 2 glasses of Prosecco. The entire evening he was no where to be found. I
It was our first poor experience after many visits. We will return but i hope he won’t be our server.
Our evening was in celebration of our anniversary and the food was exceptional, expertly prepared and delicious. Service was gracious and efficient. The minor disappointment was that we had requested a quiet table on the lower level and, after some confused discussion among the young men at the reception desk, we were seated in the upper level dining room, which was 'typically' noisy. Overall, dinner is well worth the trip.
I love going to the Inn for lunch! It's quiet, relaxed and pretty and the food is always delicious.
We dine at this restaurant at least 6 times per year. Each time the food, service and experience were great. However this last occasion, our food took a very long time to be served and the salmon wasn’t very good (which is unusual because it is typically our go to dish although they changed the recipe recently) and the Seabass dish was a very small portion of fish. We were disappointed but hopefully was the exception and not the norm.
The restaurant is beautiful and was very good when it first opened. The staff is lovely but the service very slow. Twenty minutes to get our drinks when the place was not yet busy. Over an hour to get our food! It is nice not to be rushed but this was the other extreme. The menu has become boring... time for a few creative new items. My dinner was inedible ! I had the pasta with eggplant The pizza and burgers were okay and the deserts tasted store bought! The fish was okay but again time for a new preparation Would not rush back.
While the food was great, the service left a lot to be desired. The wait to get drinks was extensive as we ordered a bottle of wine after our first round of drinks and then 20 minutes later our main courses arrived and we had still not received the bottle of wine. Bottle was received after complaints and about half-way through our meal. Otherwise meal was great.
Considering the expectations and the cost, it was meh. Our table wobbled, and I had to fix it myself. We weren't offered bread until we asked for it. The bread was terrible: from Sullivan St Bakery (allegedly,) it was tough and tasteless. Our server was lackadaisical. But otherwise the food was very good (except that the Avocado Toast was served on above mentioned wretched toast/bread. You needed a steak knife to cut it!)
Hostesses were super nice. Sat downstairs along the wall. Good table - great overall space. Server (Dominique) was solid ... attentive, personable without being overbearing. Food was real good. My (2) teens shared a pizza for a starter and I had the tuna tartare which was excellent (over guacamole...nice touch). Entrees... rigatoni and meatballs, grass fed sirloin and 2 burgers ... all good. Desserts were solid ... basic lava cake for my son which was kind of on the small side, sorbet for my daughter and my wife and I shared the caramel sundae with popcorn... excellent. All in all ... real nice place... worth the special occasion drive from Jersey. My only ... only nit was drink prices while at the bar waiting to be seated. A vodka martini and two cokes $26 which I thought was pretty steep. Regardless, we all had a very nice evening. Would recommend.
Always a pleasure to come here on a weekend evening with my spouse!
