We were there for a birthday dinner and the food was amazing as usual. The Duck Lo Mein was a star! Everything was great and we will be back

We love coming to the food market in Columbia. It’s a great spot for a date night. The cocktails are amazing. Unfortunately this time I was not happy with the entree I chose which was disappointing since we don’t get the opportunity often to go out to dinner without our kids. I had the bread and butter crusted sea bass . The breading on the fish had no flavor and was way too thick. I had to completely scrape off and remove the breading to try and eat a bit of the fish. I did enjoy the sauce that was around the plate, however the garnish that was on the place completely covered it and it was just kind of an awkward plating. I hope this was just a bad menu item and when we come back next time i will be happier with the entree I choose. We ordered the brussels for an appetizer, those are always great and my go to appetizer, highly recommend. The bohemian raspberry was the perfect dinner cocktail, very refreshing not too sweet.

On a Friday night it is extremely crowded and loud. Flavor combinations are unique and may not always please. Pickled jalapeño slices on top the salmon seemed to compete with the rub to my palette. And serving one-third of a roasted, unseasoned cabbage head as the vegetable with the salmon didn’t work for me. Desserts are very good, but the coffee was mediocre.

We decided to sit at the bar. The bartender was not very friendly, no greeting, no real welcome. There were dirty dishes left from the previous guests. The bartender made no attempt to "sell" anything nor offer any suggestions, just "are you ready to order?" We were almost done with our meals when he came to see how "everything was". Once we finished I had to ask to have the dirty plates removed. At this point we paid the check and left.
