Flora Indica pays homage to Scottish botanists who travelled throughout India cataloguing thousands of plants during Queen Victoria’s reign. The tribute is not only paid through its décor, but also in its modern-Indian menu. Think delicately-spiced mouth-watering small plates. It's certainly an eye-opening experience in terms of Indian cuisine.
Flora Indica showcases and awe-inspiring collection of gins alongside a fully-stocked cocktail bar and extensive wine list. The ground floor lounge bar is perfect for after-work cocktails and casual all-day dining. The lower ground floor restaurant at Flora Indica is a beautiful formal dining space. The restaurant is also available for private use, and is the perfect setting, whatever the occasion.

Very small dishes and too expensive. Staff gave a very “rookie” impression. I will not return, nor recommend to anyone else.
Indian cuisine with a slightly different flair from the usual. The appetizers or sharing plates were small but adequate. We especially enjoyed the lamb rojan josh.
Great meal with wonderful host(s) -- we enjoyed thoroughly!
My favorite Indian restaurant! I’ve been going there for the past year and have recommended it to many!
Service and food were awesome again! We have been here twice in the past 6 months and will go again.
All dishes we tried were excellent. Loved the curry flavors.
The best place we ate during our London vacation. Food, service and cocktails were all fantastic. Highly recommend. We tried a different Indian restaurant later in the week and regretted it, wished we had eaten here twice instead.
Highly recommended and should be specialility is the Artichoke and Lamb Rojan Gosht
Really quirky little place with a great food and drink selection.
Wonderful find of a restaurant. We did the tasting with wine pairing and it was perfect. Beautiful variety of dishes and amazing flavors and perfect pairings. The service was attentive and cheerful. When we return to London, We will definitely return.
Great food always but the service was a little disappointing
Food was really good, however service was very slow. Decor inside is beautiful as well!
Outstanding food, service and ambiance. We loved the food, all so flavourful and beautifully presented. The service was excellent, and the servers were so nice. We had plenty of small plates to choose from, all were great. The gin list is impressive as well.
The food was skilfully prepared and beautifully presented and a lot lighter than the usual Indian fare. There were few diners and the atmosphere needed some music. The chef and staff were all super kind.
The food was food. but room downstairs quite noisy, and the service was a little slow
Staying in the area and looking for somewhere to meet up with a friend. One of the best Indian meals I’ve had. The garlic nan was suberb. The lamb was delicious. The chicken tikka was lovely. The food is pricier than some but you get what you pay for. Booked via Open Table.
Service was very poor. Wrong orders brought to the table. Wine was tasting old(was obviously opened few days ago) and had cork bits in it. The glasses was super dirty and had to be sent back. The staff did try, but failed miserably.
The quantity of the food was minuscule such as fine dining, but the food quality and service didn't quite match up. This was like a glorified curry shop dressed up trying to be a fine dining establishment. Save your $
Fashionably designed restaurant. Innovative and outstanding food. However, service is friendly but unprofessional and overwhelmed. No problem for a casual and inexpensive eatery, but this is everything but inexpensive. Big let down is the price/value proposition. Minuscule portions even for main course orders. For the tiny portions without any sides is the price tag exorbitant. Rice needs to be ordered as a side dish at 4 GPB. Even with two starters per person plus a main course with additional rice and bread, one leaves the table hungry having spent 40 GBP per head excluding drinks. Way too expensive for this kind of restaurant and location.
Good food with only one waiter working so it was a bit crazy. But overall food was good and pretty good value
Delicious food, very friendly staff who gave excellent suggestions, and beautiful decor... absolutely loved it, will definitely be back!
This is a fantastic restaurant which I only found on Open Table as it takes bookings up to 10.30! We had been to a gig which ran over time and I called to let them know we would be a bit late, they stayed open for us, were incredibly hospitable and served delicious food. The front of house is charming and the chef also has pride in his yummy food. The bill was also very reasonable. I really recommend Flora Indica.
Very good service
The food is very good although most of the dishes are on the small side making the place a little expensive. Overall I liked it and would recommend the a la carte menu
My favorite Indian restaurant! Food is gourmet style with delicious choices and different flavours!
Very good service in a nice atmosphere.
Wide selection of tapas and curries.
This is good quality innovative indian food at a reasonnable price.
Room pretty empty.
Staff not discrete at all
Discount offered with Open Table not applied
When mentionned to the manager he questioned the reason why we were offered discount. Awkward moment.
We have eaten at Flora Indica several times and have been extremely happy with the food and service. We decided to invite a group of friends to join us on New Years (12 total). We ordered the set menu and it was not the experience we were hoping for. The server seemed very confused, almost like it was his first day on the job. It took a long time for us to receive our starters and later upon reflection we realized that for the number of people we did not receive all of the food we ordered. We had to ask several times when the main dishes would be served. Our reservation was for 8:00 but we did not receive our main dishes until after 10:00. The food was good but for what we were charged it was an extremely disappointing evening....and very expensive.
A must visit restaurant! Excellent food and service!
We were staying London and wanted to try Indian food. Based upon the reviews we chose Flora Indica. They were offering a tasting menu with wine pairing. One course was more delicious than the next. The wines were delicious. The service was attentive. Would highly recommend.
This was our second visit. We loved it on our first visit in Spring. Recent visit was a disappointment. Tiniest portions overpriced. Good flavours but not good quality ingredients, all the chicken dishes were were made with flavour rich sauce but poor quality chicken and you could taste it bad old chicken even when covered in sauce.
Excellent food, best Indian food I have ever had. Great service too.
Not the run of the mill Indian fare - some interesting and unusual dishes, nuanced spices and complex flavors.
I've been coming to Flora Indica for over two years now, every time I am in London. I love their creative cocktails. I also think that their food is excellent. I like to be able to "graze" my way through several small plates. And I like it that the food doesn't necessarily come smothered in ghee-heavy sauces. I have only once been disappointed in a dish; it was too salty. I have already enthusiastically recommended Flora Indica to friends. I hope it becomes a great success.
Dined with my family of 4. Delicious food with attentive service. The monk fish & prawn curry is excellent. Nice environment and a worthwhile experience.
Took my clients to Flora Indica for a business dinner. One of the few great spots in London where there is activity, amazing food, and ambience, but it isn’t so loud that you can actually have a great conversation where all at the table (party of 7) can hear.
We did the 7 course menu and it was some of the best food we had in our week of London dining. Highly recommend for business dinners or a date night. It isn’t cheap, but well worth it if you want to impress a client.
Visited due to advertising on TV show. The food was OK but I expected more from the place. The food was on the cool side when served and lacked that special taste/ feel. Waiter was a bit lethargic seem and when asked about the chicken option, responded that the lamb or fish was better. "Chicken is just chicken". The restaurant manger put us in a private table which helped to give some positive spin/feedback on this restaurant and took the time to chat a little.
On the whole it was nice but I really hoped for a little bit of magic & would find it hard to recommended to others based on my experience.
Place tries too hard, dishes are size of ashtray, badly made, and topped with really poor service.
Lovely restaurant, great ambiance, delicious food although portions are small so prepare to order more! service very good.
Just one small hiccup when we arrived we asked for recommendations of a 'long or highball' cocktails as the menu did not state if short or long cocktail. But unfortunately the waiter did not understand what we had asked for and ...hence we were served cocktails in martini glass! which were absolutely delicious I must say. We did query with the waiter but he clearly didn't know what a 'long/highball' cocktail was but he didn't say or question just pointed to the menu! but still highly recommended restaurant. We'll be back.
I was very disappointed in the service. I have been several times before and not experienced the service at the level it was the current time. The waitress was not very accommodating and did not seem interested in us at all. We constantly had to ask for water and the server did not check to see how things were. I was upset as I had added that it was a birthday dinner for someone in our group when I had booked. When we were asked if we wanted dessert, I did not order as I thought that by telling the restaurant that we were celebrating that they would make an effort. There was nothing but the bill. It made it embarrassing for us with our birthday guest. More effort needs to be made with service to make people feel that their patronage is wanted.
Absolutely amazing, Richard and his team looked after us immaculately :) thank you
