The Mangiare Story
We trace our roots to Republic Chophouse, Green Bay area’s premier steakhouse and standard bearer of fine dining in northeast Wisconsin. Located just down the street from each other and under the same local ownership, Mangiare and Republic are sister restaurants that offer the best dining experiences north of Chicago.

We use only the freshest and most authentic ingredients for the offerings on our Mangiare menu. Featuring balsamic and oils sourced directly from Italy and breads from specialty bakeries, our chefs create intensely satisfying dishes that match the level of service which sets us apart.

Had a reservation for 2. Was not happy with the table as it was near the open roll up door in the front of the restaurant and gnats were pervasive outside. Asked for a change and the said the only open table was all the way in the back, next to the kitchen. Even though there were many other open tables at that time. Said they had many reservations of 4and could no seat me there. Almost all were eventually filled by parties of 2, including the very next group of 2 that came in. Don’t quite understand that. I ordered chicken parmigiana, it was thick and chewy, not thin and pounded, like it should be. My son got the bolognese, which tasted a bit funky but I guess that’s the way they make it. Waitress was friendly and helpful.. she was the best part of an otherwise disappointing experience. Will not be going back again.

The server was very nice she did a wonderful job! I was really disappointed with the food though. I brought my boyfriend here for his birthday and i’m really sad as he didn’t love his meal. The calamari was extremely chewy and the batter was too thick and not very crunchy. I got the lobster ravioli and it definitely wasn’t worth $53. The lemon cake was pretty good though. Overall probably wont be returning.

Nice looking place. Cocktails lacked appeal. Had a beer. Dishes lacked flavor. The big meatball was at best average. Does not compare well with what I can do at home. The fish was okay but I expect better from sea bass at that price. Risotto with it was kind of bland. My fellow diner gave the veal parm a B-

My husband and I had a wonderful dining experience at Mangiare. We had four courses of wonderful food starting with the giant meatball and the bread service, fantastic! We then tried the fig beet salad, unusual combinations, but worth the experience of trying something different. Very tasty! Our entrées were also superb! We had the ravioli, stuffed lobster and the fruitti de mar. Due to it being our 25th anniversary, we received a complementary dessert, we chose the cannelloni , yum! We shall return and recommend this place to anyone looking for a fine dining experience
