DEEP SUSHI, a Deep Ellum resident for 26+ years has established itself as one of the premier sushi restaurants in the Metroplex. This sushi was fresh and service was good. This only reason I took one star a way is due to the location, and parking. The lot connected to the restaurant is pay parking. I found the QR code does not work. After 9 min of trying to pay it kept looping me around, so I went back out to try to pay with the text. However within 9 minutes, there was a $89 ticket on my windshield. I was shocked and moved my car to street parking, BUT the waitress confirmed that everyone has issues with the QR code and it was previously reported

The food was fantastic. I had the volcano rolls and all of the toppings were fantastic. The drink could have been stronger but overall Deep Sushi was a 10/10 will go again.

We were seated and greeted right away but unfortunately that's where the good service ended. Our server was very nice but not good at checking back in with us. My husband ordered a vodka martini straight up with a twist. It was practically all lemon juice. They were also out of the white wine I wanted. The food, however, was delicious. The miso soup had great flavor, the steak tataki was perfectly seared and our rolls were great.

The sushi was delicious but the service was not! We had to ask for plates as we were sharing several Sushi rolls. The food was served but we didn’t have plates, soy sauce, ginger or wasabi! The waitress never checked on us so we had to flag her down to get anything including our check. We will NOT be going back!!
