This stunning art deco inspired interior of the restaurant, located in the heart of Mayfair, is awash with 1930s glamour with leather banquette seating, dark oak wall panelling and hand-crafted chevron glass screens. Inspiration for the food comes from Rankin’s acclaimed Jersey restaurant that has held a Michelin star since 2013.

We love this restaurant. It is our fourth visit. The staff are charming and friendly and not over attentive. We are quite difficult to feed as we don't eat meat, poultry or shell fish and only some white fish one of us also has an allergy to avocado. They took all the requirements in the stride and provided a wonderful meal. We will return some time soon.

Enjoyed a lovely dinner. The scallops for starters were divine. The Dover sole was delicious and the apple crumble was simply a delight.

Good food and good service. What more could you ask for.

This was a special meal. Dining room is very comfortable and relatively casual, with no tablecloths and a variety of acceptable dress. But menu and service are definitely fine dining. Dishes creative and delicious, with several amuse bouche courses thrown in with a la carte menu (tasting menu looked fabulous, but we opted out). Service very friendly. Pricing not exorbitant for quality. Would return and definitely recommend.

Very nice experience overall. However we opted for a Wine tasting menu and the food options were very restricted. Most interesting dishes were supplements and the wine options, of most interest, again with a supplement.
Can definitely recommend the food but be aware of the offers as it not transparent until you see the menu on the day

Ormer is fabulous - delicious, imaginative food served by an unbeatable team. The sommelier's and their wine list are also excellent.

Horseradish pannacotta cubes and edible flowers made an already stunning beef tartare zing with flavour bursts and colour. Chervil granita and yoghourt sorbet were masterstrokes of flavour in a wonderfully nuanced and sophisticated poached pear pudding

If you're looking for somewhere where everyone goes the extra mile and the food is ravishing, book now!
Hat's off to a first-class establishment

We had an excellent lunch here. Staff are friendly and helpful. The wine list is small but very good and the sommelier knows his wines. The food is superb. It’s complex, inventive (chocolate tortellini with venison!) but delicious. And it’s a relaxed atmosphere, which isn’t always the case in London ‘Fine Dining’ restaurants. We would certainly recommend Ormer wholeheartedly.

Ormer is fast becoming one of my favourite places to eat in London.
Had the A La carte lunch and can honestly say that every dish was outstanding in presentation and flavour.
A special mention goes to the Pear and Ginger soufflé-just ridiculously good!!!
Staff are lovely (and understanding when I had brain freeze and took an age to remember my pin number-I blame the soufflé for being so good that it scrambled my senses!! ;-0)
Was lovely to meet the head chef-Kerth Gumbs too-a super talented guy!

My wife and I have eaten at this restaurant a number of times, the first time being within several days of its opening. Initially, the quality of its foods was very good in terms of taste and portion size. However, our last meal was somewhat disappointing. My wife had the Dover sole and I had the turbot. The portion sizes were disappointingly small, hardly more than four or five forkfuls. I think because of the small portion size, the food was unevenly cooked.

I had been once before, but Owner was new to my dining companion. We both had the lobster ravioli - divine - and the nut crusted turbot, which was delicious. For dessert we shared a cheese plate and the soufflé, in order to have the best of both worlds, which we did. The soufflé was a thing of absolute beauty and light as a feather. Looking forward to our next trip!

I would say everything was 'ok'. Food was ok, service was ok, ambiance was ok. Nothing excelled, which at those sort of prices was perhaps disappointing. There were four of us so we sampled a good cross-section of the a la carte menu. The dishes we had were acceptable albeit the portions rather small. The service managed to pull of an unusual combination. A lot of the time it was over-deliberate and rather intrusive but then, when actually required, it became strangely elusive. But overall it was a pleasant enough experience in a calm and civilised environment.

My third time here and the best so far: we were here for a celebration dinner. Compliments to the kitchen as the food was faultless throughout. Particularly memorable were our main courses: roast duck w/foie gras and the venison w/chocolate tortellini. The desserts were stunning: a baked alaska which looks like a sea urchin and a sophisticated chocolate brownie.

I’d have to really pick to find fault: my companion chose a wine from the list which must have had a high tannin content as it just did not open up sufficiently to complement our food choices during the course of the evening. But we didn’t let this didn’t dampen our overall experience: we took it home and it was fine the next day.

Special mention must go to the front of house team again: in addition to their professionalism, they have a lot of personality which made us feel thoroughly at home and made for a fun evening.

Made to feel very welcome from the moment we walked in and very attentive service thoughout.

The food & service were exceptional.

Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the restaurant and have already done so (twice in two days!)

The pre lunch drink was less impressive though and nearly put us off staying for lunch so I would suggest more effort / training is invested in the Drawing Room to ensure guests experience is enhanced. Having said that , the restaurant were informed about our experience and more than made up for the Hotel’s unfortunate ‘first impression’.

We’ll be back.

Simply superb. We had not heard of Ormer though I have heard of Rankin and went purely because it was a walk from our hotel, highly recommended on Tripadvisor which also said it was vegetarian friendly.

We were not disappointed. This was one of the best meals I have ever had full stop. I am WFPB and my wife mostly veggie. We asked if they had vegetarian menu and opted for this tasting menu.

It was beyond superb apart from the linguine course. The pasta itself was beautifully made but the dish overall was weak. But the other 9 courses including amuse etc were outstanding.

It was after the second course that they mentioned they had a vegan menu, which I would have opted for if I had known about it.

So five stars plus and I will rush back at the next opportunity but I wish they would put the vegetarian and vegan menus as part of the menu “booklet”. It is there on the pdf version on the web site but not in the restaurant.

Definitely go if you are veggie. This might possibly be the best veggie/vegan restaurant in London.
