    1928 Beacon Hill is a gem. The decor is magical, food delicious and our server was exceptional. This lovely, exciting restaurant was full and continued to be full when other good places had only a few patrons. It is a hot spot and well deserved. Will be recommending it.

    Beautiful location. Food was served lukewarm and was bland. Not bad, not good. The only reason to go is for the cocktails. All were delicious. Skip the dining and have a drink or two at the bar.

    Fabulous meal in a lovely setting! Our service was great! We weren’t in a rush and thoroughly enjoyed everything! A definite must to visit if you are in Beacon Hill!

    We showed up for our reservation, we were seated, we waited for 15 minutes with no one greeting us, not even bringing us water. At that point we decided to get up and leave. This was very disappointing since we were going here for a special night out. I would not recommend and will definitely not be back.

    The food was OK, ambience was very pleasant but the service was some of the absolute worst I have ever experienced. Had to make multiple requests of different servers for coffee, water, etc.

    First, beautiful vibes walking in the door. Calm relaxing atmosphere. We sat at a corner table but every table is cozy and eclectic. Bar seating was limited, gorgeous lighting. Service was attentive but not pushy. Our server was informative about all items and assisted me with gluten free options. Cocktail and mocktails were inventive and delicious. 1928 highly recommended. Appetizers, glorious deviled eggs and wagu puff pastry were amazing. Halibut piccata was gluten free, and tender fish and delectable au gratin potatoes. Dessert choices, all looked amazing we chose the affogato and creme brulee. Both were gone in seconds. We will be back ... recommend parking at Boston common to walk off a few calories!

    We were so disappointed by the service and food this time at 1928. It’s such a lovely restaurant and have been before so recommended it for friends…. Our main course took one and one half hours to arrive. And when it did two of the entrees were overcooked…. The saving grace was that the services apologized profusely and compted the meals. Only because of the server being so apologetic will we try this restaurant one more time. However I will not recommend it until I try it again. Hoping for a better day…
