We gladly accept walk-ins at the bar on a first come first served basis. A 15-minute grace period is allotted to your arrival time should you run late. After 15 minutes your reservation will be released and offered to guests on our waitlist. All guests must be present to be seated. Tables are reserved for one & half hours. For parties of 6 or more, a $25 per person credit card hold is required to confirm your reservation. No shows and or unconfirmed cancellations risk forfeit of held funds. If you would like to book a catering event or a reservation for a larger party (8+), please send an email to restaurant@29marklect.com. All larger party requests must be confirmed and require a credit card. Thank you.

Fantastic dining experience. Highly recommend. Every dish was creative and amazingly tasty. Started with black rice crab balls over a seasoned Cole slaw. And grilled bread served with an addictive honey, olive oil crushed red pepper dipping sauce. Best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had and the home made pasta with peas and basil was delicious. Ended with a goat cheese cheese cake topped with pistachios. Can not wait to come back.

Wife and I found this place before going to the Soundside festival. We wanted a good quality meal, and 29 Markle Ct did not disappoint! We had a great meal with great service. We shared the scallop appetizer, which was so delicious. I had the duck, which was cooked perfectly and my wife had the fish dish, which she said was very good (but I did not get to sample). Would highly recommend if you are in the Bridgeport area for an evening.

Really nice dinner. Definitely would go back and try some of the larger mains—both of us had sandwiches—wasn’t our intent when going there, just ended up that way. We both had excellent appetizers, black rice and crab balls for my spouse, tomatoes and burrata for me. The bread is delicious too. It was quite loud. And the bench seating is way too high for the tables. I am not exaggerating when I say I put my back out having to lean over to eat. I would ask for a table with two regular seats next time.

The restaurant hits on all levels. By far one of the best restaurants in Bridgeport. The dining experience is elevated, the service is superb and the food is outstanding. This is my second time dining here and the experience has been great. The menu is really good.

What an excellent meal! Everything was fantastic! The food! We wanted to lick our plates. The staff! Charming is the only way to describe all of them….cant wait to go back! Oh, the crab & black rice balls are just special and the shrimp & grits….best grits I ever ate!

From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with soft lighting and a cozy atmosphere. The staff was super attentive, offering friendly service without being intrusive. The menu featured a perfect balance of creative dishes and classic options. One of the menu items opted for the [which was beautifully presented and cooked to perfection, were the black rice crab balls with rich flavors that complemented each other perfectly. The portion sizes were generous but well-balanced. We were a party of 6, one had the halibut and remarked how fresh the fish was; another enjoyed the duck and was very impressed by the presentation, seasoning and taste. Overall, it was a memorable meal that exceeded my expectations in every way. Highly recommend!
