At Amor we are building a vibrant fare with Northwest ingredients but using the traditions of the great cuisine countries of the world: Spain, Italy, France, Morocco and more. We want you to experiment and try our tapas as part of your dining experience. Please order and entrée if you would like, but indulge in the tapas and the experience.

The small plates will be delivered are so much fun.

Please also spoil yourself with the ample purveyed wines from around the world. Our food is meant to be eaten with wine so also see our pairings. Warm yourself through our beautifully appointed dining room while you share the love of each other and your friends.

It is a great place and I loved the guitarist who performs there the first Saturday of each month. Sebastian Quintero is amazing. The bar service, quality of the wine selection, and the menu is also excellent.

Our server was Noel , she was kind, tentative and accommodating. Our cocktails were very good and we had several wines which were very enjoyable. The wine and drink menu was extensive. The limited menu was enjoyable but as a person I would have appreciated a few other options. Greens to me on any menu are necessary option which wasn’t available. Most enjoyable was the environment and ability to have a conversation in a relaxed, quiet atmosphere.

Wine was great, our server Nadine was fantastic, food was awful. What menu items they weren’t out of were way too tiny for the prices, and a couple of our dishes were overcooked. They discounted our ticket, but I think they need to go back to the drawing board on their menu and food inventory management practices. Also, it was a nice night but their patio wasn’t being used. It looked like they were using it for storage…such a shame, would really like this kind of place to get it right and make it in Tacoma!

Excellent food, poor service. Despite having reservations and arriving on time, the host seemed confused about where to seat us. Upon being seated directly under the kitchen's service window, the waiter attempted to pour water from an empty pitcher. Upon returning with a full pitcher, he spilled water on the table and the floor and proceeded to wipe the floor THEN the table. He then gave us one menu to share, which was missing the food page. This wasn't just the wine list - there was an empty spot were the tapas menu belonged. So, we ordered two flights of wine and asked for the tapas menu. Being billed as a wine bar, we were surprised that the staff weren't able to identify two of the six wines in our flights. We order the flights directly from the wine list, so our confidence in the experience was dwindling. The menu on their website showed a variety of tapas, and we were eager to try a few things in particular. However, we were disappointed to learn that the ONLY food option was a $74 per person prix fixe. Rather than leave, we elected to see where the meal took us. Again, despite ordering directly from the menu, the courses were misidentified several times. To be fair, each course of tapas was excellent - well seasoned, perfect temperatures, beautiful presentations. Half way through the meal, the three-piece band (electric keyboard, electric guitar, bongos, and a TROMBONE) started setting up five feet from our table, including two giant speakers. The entire room was about only about 15' x 30' so the 30 minutes of schlepping equipment and mic checks was hard to ignore. So, we paid our $280 bill, let the kitchen (who was three inches away) know the food was really great, and left.

First time having tapas, and I will forever be a fan! The service was beyond amazing, from beginning to end. Now let’s talk about the food…O M G yum! Every bite was delicious, trying dishes in new ways, brought my family here to try new things and we will be coming back without a doubt!

Friends recommended Amor to us after enjoying a meal there. My partner is Spanish and rarely encounters Spanish-style dining in the Puget Sound area that holds a candle to either her homecooking or restaurants in Spain. She was skeptical before we started our meal that she would find Amor's offerings to be any different. We ordered the "complete tapas" selection and found it to be excellent. We began with gazpacho, almonds and olives. All of it was excellent! Each course that followed was incredibly well done, seasoned perfectly and very flavorful. We had potatoes, shrimp, mushrooms, sardines and several other courses. We accompanied our meal with a Spanish and a French wine flight. The wines were excellent and accompanied the tapas very nicely. Noel was our waitress and monitored our progress through our various plates, bringing a new selection as we finished the previous selection. Amor captured the Spanish dining experience for us. Our biggest surprise was that on a Thursday night, there were not that many customers. This restaurant deserves a bigger crowd.

Nice spot and great idea with small plates and tapas. Good wine options and food. Only reason I don’t give it more stars, was the flavor profile was more Moroccan than Spanish. Not bad just not what I was in the mood for. I’d recommend it for a something different evening out.
