Great food, staff were so friendly had a brilliant time
Made to wait over 20 minutes for our table that was then still messy when we were seated. No apology for the delay and costs not taken until being seated despite 2 members of staff stood chatting at the coat rail. We had to call staff over to order a drink and have menu explained as. We asked for some tap water numerous times and were only given a small bottle each time. The staff weren’t attentive. We were really looking forward to going to Temper. I was extremely disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend it and won’t be going back. Overall bad service.
Great food, hampered by poor service, got the impression they had oversold the venue the evening we went and did not have enough well trained FOH staff to go around.
I saw this restaurant on masterchef and expected it to be amazing but the service was slow, menu was not clear and you really had no idea what you were ordering. had to send food back becuase it was inedable. Just overall it was not a n enjoy able experience. My girlfriend was ill after the food aswell.
Really enjoyed temper. I don’t think the service was brilliant but it didn’t take away from the experience. The food was really good quality and really delicious. Was very happy to pay every cent
Having wanted to eat at Temper for ages I took my parents here on Saturday for a late lunch and after hearing so many rave reviews I was not disappointed!.
The service from the moment you walk in to the attentiveness at the table and the knowledge for the waiting team was incredible.
The food is second to non. Yes there are great places for Taco's and Mexican inspired food in London but Temper is up there at the top of the list. Every dish we had was perfectly made, wonderfully presented and full of flavour.
If they say its spicy, its spicy but this is what you look for when needing an authentic fix. The creativity in the menu is its selling point and even if you go just for the Smoked Goat or Aged Cheeseburger Taco's your doing something right! The team are also very knowledgeable when it comes to their Wine and Mezcal's and help with great passion and enthusiasm for what they are serving.
I cant recommend Temper enough! Don't think about it, just go!
Really good service! Would definitely come back for dinner
Excellent find with quality food and great service, would definitely go again
Love this place. Food is incredible and staff are lovely. Only drawback is the timed bookings which is a shame as it’s a slow food place. But I guess that’s a common thing now, especially in London.
Amazing food and viab. Music was a touch loud but not uncomfortable
Food was amazing, service was poor. Mains took 40 mins to get to us and were cold on arrival. But the restaurant was lovely and when you spoke to staff very friendly. Would go back.
Visited on Sunday night for last minute booking. The restaurant was half empty, food was good but nothing special. Service was quite slow and not much help from the waiting staffs.
Excellent and good fun restaurant with friendly and lively staff.
Loved it! Great find, service was intuitive but not pushy. Menu well explained, excellent atmosphere.
So looking forward to going here, but I was quite disappointed. Service for drinks and food were very slow, way too noisy and food was OK, nothing to write home about...very small portions, so if you are looking for a small bite to eat, and not that hungry, then great...
Good place, vibrant, great food. Would recommend.
Temper has sadly, along with many other restaurants, dropped standards in the aftermath of success. It's still worth going to, but expect service to be slower, food to be not quite as foolproof and people to be slightly less charming than it once was.
Its a top notch chain restaurant - but a dissapointing indie.
Food was good but incredibly slow (almost 2 hours for the main...) and there were missing items.
Very happy with the experience and the staff where awesome. Only feedback was that a couple of dishes on the menu that where a little confusing and wheren't what we where expecting (the egg side sounded amazing but we where a little surprised when it was served cold). Also the drinks menu for those not drinking alcohol was a little weird. But all in all a great lunch experience
Went at lunchtime so quieter than expected - fine for conversation.
Food delicious - get the beef fat tacos.
Second time there. Amazing food. Difficult to get waiter attention but the guys are super nice
Disappointed that whilst Id tried to call three times to explain we'd be late, no one answered the phone. We were actually on 15 mins late in the end, 5 mins within the 20 min grace period, so i was relaxed our table would be waiting. They had given it away though and shrugged shoulders when I referred to 20 min grace period. 30 mins in a rubbish holding tank of a room while our table became available again. Service, food, ambiance was great as usual, just poor booking management, which was enough to take the shine off for me to put it mildly.
We were late arriving, I called ahead to let Temper know but there was no option to discuss a booking and I didn’t get through to a person. This needs to be rectified, there should be an option to discuss a booking included in the 6 options. We had a long wait for our main course which was small portioned when it arrived. However, the duty manager and waiter were great and we left feeling happy.
Very disappointing third visit. I would now struggle to recommend Temper Soho. Perhaps a victim of their own success, but the service levels and food quality on this extremely busy Friday night left a lot to be desired. Our waiting staff appeared overwhelmed, and were not capable of the same levels of advice and service that we have appreciated on previous visits. Knowledge of the wine list was non-existent. We ordered a cross-section of main courses; all of which were luke warm on arrival.
Great food and atmosphere just let down a little bit by the service. I would still recommend going
Great food and atmosphere with absolutely abysmal service.
Brought friends from abroad. Great atmosphere and great food. Thanks
We love Temper City, so gave Soho a go before a show. I found the noise level too high and had to raise my voice quite a lot in order to have a conversation or place my order. The service, food, and drinks were all good though. I think we'll stick with Temper City, music is not so loud and they do the best dessert - mmmmmmm, Bananadrama!
Temper is the best restaurant in the whole of soho! Great value for the food and service you get. This was my second visit in the last 4 months and although I was at first upset some of my favourites weren’t on the menu from the time before, I think it was better the second time and came away loving the fact they update the menu every couple of months and keep it fresh.
Surprisingly large portions, and the food was absolutely delicious
staff very frendly and knowlageable, they realy cared about the product
We had a great meal, superb cooking and good service.
The only thing was I asked to charge my phone at the reception they did not have a plug to connect my usb cable . I think nowadays it’s a must to offer charging facilities in any public space. They can buy few mobile charging banks and keep it available for customers.
Amazing - great food
Fab birthday meal with my boyfriend
I think the menu layout isn’t the best and prices should be next to the steaks, but the food was amazing the service at the start wasn’t amazing, but it got extremely better! really nice staff really good knowledge of the food, suggestions where on point we had a great night I will recommend it highly.
Way avarage than expected. Major decline in service and the taste than last year. Hope it gets better again.
Love this place..cosy surroundings...request a booth ...and perfectly cooked Meat complimented with excellent wine
The food was good. Nothing special. But the bad part was we waited for like 30 mins or even more for the food.
Tasty food; we had a Sunday roast which was delicious. Service not great. Asked for more bottomless gravy and the waiter never returned. Table next to us didn’t receive any food at all in the whole time we were there.
