The W hotel is currently under renovation, so it was difficult to find the entrance. I knew in advance they automatically add a 17% to the bill, so I did not need to add a tip. To give you an idea of the cost (so you are prepared), my Thai chicken sandwich with lots if fries was delicious, plus I had 1 beer (Mocha stout) and my total came out to $47.40. Kind of an expensive lunch for an okay place. The positives: great views and excellent location, since we were going to a play at the Pantages across the street. Our server, Ana, was excellent.

Wasn’t impressed at all with the place. Loud….the place is like an echo chamber you can hear everything from everyone around you. Appetizers not good at all. Sour cream and onion dip with chips I think it was called was terrible dip was like milk not high at all. Brussels sprouts no flavor even with the bacon inside and the drinks were not good bartender forgot to put sugar around rim on lemon drop martini. Good bartender’s don’t forget how to make a drink. First time and last time here. And forget spending the night beds are horrible the mattress are way soft and there’s no box spring under mattress which seems like mattress is laying on floor we complained front desk about that..:: horrible. If it wasn’t for pantages theatre being across this place is the pits.

Food was great! Everyone was so helpful and nice. We were late due to terrible traffic. They got us right in, and our food was quick, we were still able to make it in time to the show at the Pantages! Our server was amazing and so friendly, I am terrible with remembering names though. Overall great experience, we will be back!

A mesmerizing dining experience. With stunning vistas spanning from Hollywood to Downtown LA, the ambiance is unparalleled. The service is exemplary, our server Andrew was knowledgeable attentive and warm. The food was a delight, each dish deliciously crafted. We were so captivated by the experience that we transitioned to the lounge, sinking into plush couches, while we had post-dinner cocktails and took in the breathtaking cityscape. I would say this is a wonderful place for date night, or if you have a small group. The only downside was the "under construction" state. But they did a commendable job minimizing the inconvenience.

Great place to go before catching the theater. Attentive service and great views. Brunch on Sunday is $42 per person but we opted to wait until 11 am to order off the menu. Fish tacos were very tasty but $26 for 3 small tacos seemed just a little steep. Champagne was $12 a glass. I'll certainly go back anytime I attend the Pantages.

The location is beautiful but they didn’t have 3 things we wanted in the menu and it was only 6:15. What we ordered was average and pricey, can’t be location though.

Gorgeous/Iconic view; friendly and timely service. Perfect dining location if attending a play at the Pantages (which is right across the street). Just be sure to let hostess know that you're heading to a play.

Andrew was very nice, the service was very good. My husbands burger was good. My drinks were good. View was fun. My salad was not so good. Looked good but with no taste. The dressing was good but the actual salad was not good at all. I ate maybe 10%.

This was our first time at Sky Terrace. The view and ambiance were pleasant. Our server, Joshua, was excellent: very friendly and attentive. My only comment is the pricing is a bit higher than the meal value.

I don’t understand the negative reviews here. From arrival, service was top notch. I made a reservation for four, requested outdoors because we wanted to enjoy the view. (Spectacular) The server was friendly, acknowledged that we were going to the Pantages theater and we were able to order right away. We shared chips and guacamole. Yes, $17 is high but the house made chips were good and they kept them coming. We all liked it. The fish tacos were very tasty (3), the Neiman Ranch burger was delicious with LOTS of parsley fries. Our friends weren’t crazy about their pasta, both complained that it was somewhat spicy for their taste. The margaritas were $20 but delicious with good tequila, lime juice and a touch of agave. Not too sweet. Perfect. Desserts were excellent, Chocolate lava cake and ice cream and a berry crème brûlée. The bill came right away and we left well fed and very happy. Do check out the pool area, the views are amazing!

This was our first time staying in LA and I would definitely recommend the Sky Terrace. The views are lovely and the service was excellent. Prices were comparable for the area and the food was really good each time we dined here throughout the week. It was rarely crowded but reservations are still recommended just in case. It was really easy to make a reservation through Open Table. A great place to eat!

We came here for pre-Pantages drinks and apps and sat outside. Our appetizers were awesome and came out super quick along with the drinks we ordered. Prices are pretty high-chips and guac is $17 but decent size! They seem pretty understaffed in the server department but he still did a great job. The views are incredible if you sit outside! No music playing so would’ve loved some type of ambiance because it was almost too quiet outside for a rooftop bar. I’d come back!

A pre-theater dinner (Pantages is across the street). The wait staff were excellent - helpful, good suggestions, attentive but not overbearing. We were seated outside which was perfect (minus the noise from Hollywood Blvd), although as the sun moved lower in the sky it focus right on me (moved next to my wife in the shade). My wife had the hand-rolled pasta which got her Italian seal of approval (reminded her of her grandmother's pasta). She added salmon (came as a separate salmon steak) for protein ... realized later that chicken would have been better. I had the pork Schnitzel (although I don't think it was called that on the menu) which was good but a bit dry. The Schnitzel was enough for 2, I couldn't finish it (and that's unusual). Get the carrots - they are a different variety and prepared nicely. A full bar, but drinks were a bit pricey. Overall, a good experience, good food, but a bit pricey Warning: there is an automatic 17% service fee. I don't have a problem with that ... but I didn't notice it when I added the tip and seriously over-tipped. But that was my mistake, not theirs. Another warning: they're remodeling the W (Aug 2023). The only entrance is the valet entrance on Argyle ... and no signage at the Hollywood Blvd entrance (apparently Marriott has issues with temp signage). Getting to the elevator, then up to the 12th floor, then to the restaurant is like a maze with mirrors. We may return, but there are many other pre-theater options to consider.

Wonderful dinner before the show at the Pantages. My daughter and I shared the Porkchop and Carrots, definitely enough for two people. We finished with a delightful Peach Hand Pie with creamy vanilla ice cream. Amazing view, wonderful service. Parking at the hotel is $35, across the street is $20.

Wanted to go to Delphine before seeing a show at the Pantages. It was closed for reno so they told us there was a rooftop restaurant which I did not know existed. wine was good and so was the burger. Nice to be able have dinner and walk across the street to the Pantages.

We arrived exactly at our reservation time. We ordered food, we waited 50 minutes for our food and nothing. While everyone around us got theirs. When we checked in with the waiter he blamed it on my “medium well steak” well another 15 minutes later no food. While everyone else around us, who arrived after us, got their food. They blamed it on their system, technical difficulties. But again, every one else got their food. We left hungry.

The women's bathrooms are a disgrace. many of the stall doors don't close (I had to ask a complete stranger to hold the door closed for me!!). Not every basin had soap, some had trying towels, others not!!. Wow! for a W - this was a surprise. Now they are renovating - but seriously - soap, towels, doors that close and water at each faucet... I imagine many of the workers aren't washing their hands either.
