La comida y el servicio fueron excelentes la verdad. No tengo queja. Pero yo había reservado para el dining hall y nos metieron donde hacen los conciertos de jazz porque el dinkng hall estaba cerrado para una boda y nadie dijo eso antes de la reserva. Eso me decepcionó mucho. El lugar está iluminado de día pero de tarde/noche se vuelve oscuro y aparentemente no hay luz solo en un lado donde están los músicos (que igual ese día no habían músicos). Deberían decir si uno reserva para el finde que no van a tener el lugar habilitado como uno piensa. Esa es mi única y mayor queja.

an attractive restaurant, spacious and elegant; the American Trade Hotel is a very attractive building on Plaza Herrera. The restaurant is across the street from the VP palace and the Church of the Mercy. Upon entry you will be struck by the Air Conditioning - wear an overcoat if you are used to Panama's climate! The service is prompt, but the maitre d'hotel station can be slow to notice you. The kitchens deserve commendation - the cerviche is splendid, the grilled fish (both sea bass, called here "Corvina), is light, with a nicely crisp exterior; the fillet on a bed of risotto and pigeon peas was also highly thought of. This was our fourth visit, so it will draw you back- that and the jazz club next door! Cheers

Waiters rushed the service to leave, unpleasant attitude. Vibe is dead, the back of the lobby of the hotel is where they set uo a restaurant.

Food was outstanding. I tried several octopus dishes in casco viejo. The American Trade Hotel's was the best by far. Very clean. Very nice and quiet ambiance.
