Open seven days a week, Alder & Ash is located at the corner of 7th and Pike in downtown Seattle. Right in the heart of the Central Business District, Alder & Ash is the perfect place for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a late night cocktail.

Breakfast is offered daily from 6am to 10:30am, followed by lunch from 11am to 3pm, happy hour from 4pm to 6pm and dinner from 5pm to 10pm.

    We had a lovely dinner before a show at the Paramount. We had the salmon and the steak frites. Both were flavorful and delicious. Our server was friendly and attentive without hovering. We finished with the wonderful cheesecake. It was a delightful part of a great evening!

    The restaurant has a nice ambiance and interiors. We all enjoyed our food, but the menu was a bit limited. The service was moderate at best. Drinks took too long, they couldn’t do separate checks for parties of 6 or more (really?? What’s so magical about 6. My experience with restaurant computer systems is that it’s pretty easy to separate charges by person). When we asked for salt/pepper they brought small, rather cheesy grinders, both of which produced minuscule to no salt/pepper. It’s the small things that matter when it comes to service. Our Server didn’t makes us feel very welcome. Otherwise, the food and space were great. Price was reasonable

    Food was good, service very slow, server didn’t check in us after finally delivering our meal. Very loud inside. Had to ask for our check from another server since ours had disappeared!

    The decor of this restaurant was the high point. The food was ok--not great. The most uncomfortable part were the vehicle exhaust fumes coming into the place from the nearby parking garage.

    Food was ok. But pretty spends for what you get, in my opinion. Service was ok but does take awhile to get your food.

    The place is quite elegant, and drinks were good, but the entrees were bland. We ordered the crispy rice appetizer, and it was delicious For dinner, I had the king salmon . It wasn't seasoned, and it was sitting on top of some sort of greens and a watery bland gravy. My date had the scallops, and the sauce they were drizzled in tasted burnt. We tried each other's food to confirm. The restaurant did remove the items from our ticket. But for the prices, the food (at the very least the seafood) needs to be better. I'll try again, for something else, but I hope a new menu is in the works soon.
