The Coach House, 2x James Beard Award and Jean Banchet Award-nominated Chef Zubair's Mohajir’s latest venture, is a Tasting Menu experience featuring a heavy dose of South Indian flavors whilst avoiding direct tradition. The Coach House is located in the rear of Lilac Tiger's street food location, on Division St.

Our 8-course Tasting Menu rotates seasonally, and is featured on Friday and Saturday nights at 5:45pm and 8:30pm. Our 5-course Pulutan Menu, inspired by the melding of Indian and Filipino cuisines, is offered at 6:30pm Tuesday-Thursday nights. Please note that we will be shifting to a 4-course and 6-course dining experience beginning in October.

Your experience can be supplemented with one of our thoughtfully-curated wine and cocktail pairings, or you and your guests can select your sipper from our worldly wine list, elegant cocktails, and vibrant and non-alcoholic signature drinks.

In this 6-course tasting menu experience, curated by James Beard Award-nominated Chef Zubair Mohajir, you will be taken through Chef's food memories of his home in Chennai, Tamil Nadu while also exploring the South Asian subcontinent. The Coach House experience honors age-old traditions while pushing the boundaries of South Asian cuisine. No modifications allowed. The Coach House is excellent food, service, and a great experience. It has a quaint and unique vibe. The Indian street food is just outstanding and the portions are perfect. High recommended. We will definitely be back.

We had been wanting to come here for a couple of years but we are now puzzled by the hype. The food was fine but the small size of each dish except one left most of us feeling hungry still. The service also left a bad taste in my mouth. I have a shellfish allergy and they did a good job substituting the dishes except one that had octopus. No big deal because maybe not all people know that octopus is a mollusk which is a category of shellfish. But the server was disagreeing with me that octopus is not a shellfish because it doesn’t have a shell and was demanding to know what else I was allergic to as if it was my fault they served me a dish I couldn’t eat. Given these issues combined with the price point, we were disappointed.

An amazing culinary experience matched by impeccable and intentional hospitality and service. A gem of a place and one I highly recommend folks come to experience for themselves the imaginative and delicious flavors, textures, and aromas and visuals. But the chef and staff also make it a fabulous time with their warmth and openness. My friend and I came here on a Saturday night for an important weekend and this did not disappoint.

What a fun and extraordinary dining experience. We had five courses on a Wednesday evening that were creative interpretations of street food from the Philippines. Each was delicious with varying flavors, textures and beautiful to behold. The service was impeccable. It was a delightful dining experience!

Chef Jacob is a phenom! Had a wonderful experience exploring the flavors and fusions of the Philippines through Chef Jacobs eyes. Food, culture and history 10/10 recommend a seat at the Chefs Table with Chef.
