The waiters are distracted and then overzealous They were not familiar with the drink menu and seemed unclear about the food menu They hover over you to clear plates and then check in ad nauseum

I came here with high expectations due to the rave reviews, but the experience was very underwhelming. The pizza was very greasy, and both main courses we ordered (pasta fagioli and chicken cacciatore) were unremarkable. The service was rather slow and the place was poorly ventilated, so we all left smelling like the kitchen.

We have been hearing great things about Via Cannucia and were excited to visit. We’ve been to Italy twice this year so now we think we are Italian lol (not really). Everything about it felt very authentic and food was fresh and delicious! The menu online was not the menu we got; but I don’t think you could go wrong with anything you chose. From the fresh bread and oil, and we had the Cesar salad and cacio Pepe rice balls, to our mains of short bread and actual cacio Pepe pasta, everything felt high quality. We were stuffed but felt we had to get dessert for the full experience. The tiramisu was delicious. The only disappointment was the ciambellone brûlée - which may have been a miscommunication but I thought it was going to be creme brûlée but was actually nothing like it. And I thought the desserts were overpriced at $16 and $17. But overall it was a fantastic experience and we will definitely be back!

Quaint little spot that has a buzzy atmosphere. Food is excellent for such a small kitchen, don’t sleep on the specials! From their warm housemade bread to the light crispy rice balls with a creamy interior, their crisp but chewy pizza crust, the tender rich short rib special on creamy polenta to dessert… delicious! Their cocktails are innovative and wine list is also well curated, parking can be a pain so plan ahead…

It got a little loud and I could tell the server was new so still getting the handle of it but the food is out of this world. One of our party said his eggplant pizza was one of the best things he has ever eaten.

Just the perfect little spot whether you're flying solo, on a date or with a group. The food never misses. Will be telling everyone (whether they want to hear or not) about the duck confit. Unbelievably well done. So lucky to have this team in the neighborhood.

Really great experience! From the phone conversation advising them I would be a tad late, to the warm smile and generous greeting upon entering, to the excellent, authentic wine choices, to the attentive, efficient service and to the balanced flavors on the plates, all was excellent. And with so many disappointments and disappointing experiences of late, it was so impressive.
