Agua Viva has a pleasant outdoor setting, but the food and drinks are way over-priced for small portions and fussy presentations. The carrot hummus seemed fine, but the decorations (carrot shavings, etc.) made it challenging to get to the small amount of hummus. The kale salad has a tiny amount of crispy kale (more like croutons and not crispy). The pineapple mocktail was tasty--but $15 was excessive.

The setting of this restaurant is beautiful. It's a tranquil environment perched above downtown with spectacular views. I normally don't enjoy the type of cuisine served at Aqua Viva. However, I thought the food was innovative and well done. Our waitress, Keri, was excellent. She really knew her stuff about the menu and she went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed our experience.

It was raining, so we dined on Agua Viva’s menu seated in San Laurel. It was lovely! The food is expensive but really delicious and you can’t beat the ambience on the lobby level of the Conrad. Everything is gorgeous!

We want for brunch. The drinks were good and service was excellent. The setting is beautiful. Unfortunately, the kitchen did not know how to poach eggs and the first eggs Benedict had 2 hard boiled eggs; when we asked for properly poached eggs, they came raw and wet. We’ll know better next time.

Lovely outdoor setting that's cozy with olive trees and beautiful lighting. Beautiful views of Walt Disney Concert Hall, City Hall and more. Food was wonderful and the service outstanding. Fine dining that felt affordable. Look forward to going back!

The food at Agua Viva was excellent however the portions were small & overpriced. We had the oysters to start & octopus(best dish), ribeye & deconstructed hand rolls as mains to share. Will revisit the Conrad as their location is perfect for dinner & drinks if seeing a show, concert or exhibit downtown. The Beaudry Room in the lobby has great views & staff.

This is my 3rd dining experience at Aqua Viva and except for the service, which was excellent, I was sorely disappointed. It was my brother's birthday and we also had two relatives in from out of town. I had just eaten at Aqua Viva the week before and it was excellent. My brother loves Gazpacho and I raved about this one ... but it was overpoweringly acidic and awful. Inedible in my opinion and we sent it back. The crab croquettes had been great the week before - this time they were boring, lacking in flavor and light on the crab. The rest of the meal, for everyone, was just ok - but for the nearly $600 we spent for 5 people - not worth it. I don't think I'll go back and that's a bummer because the atmosphere is lovely. Oh one other note - they need more heaters. Even though they offer blankets to wrap around your shoulders - the restaurant is in a hotel. How hard is it to bring more outdoor heaters (which you know the hotel has) up to the restaurant when it is cold out. Total bummer really - especially for the money spent.

Without the great manager we could not get a table. I asked for sliced fresh tomatoes, got a baked tomato.. Asked for bread, it didn't come and I had to ask again.. Omelet was nice, they didc not hear about adding onion in the omelet.. Nice view...

I enjoyed my visit on Thursday afternoon with my friend to celebrate an early birthday brunch. The weather was perfect and provided clear rooftop views of the city. The service was excellent and the food presentation was beautiful. I enjoyed the unique flavors and wine selection experience at Agua Viva. Looking forward to returning soon!

Location, location... Walk across the street to the Disney, so convenient. While dining,look across at the city and the mountains, beautiful day or night. But contrary to real estate speak, location isn't everything The food was fabulous. I wish we'd had many hours to spend. And I wish I had the recipe to the gazpacho!!!

I love what Jose Andres does for the world. The venue is beautiful and a great place to go for drinks and enjoy the sunset. Unfortunately, the food options during lunch were not appealing and lacked flavor.

My spouse and I had brunch reservations on 10/29/23. Upon entering the restaurant there was no one to greet us. Finally one of the hostess approach the front counter (the African American Hostess), who didn’t bother to greet us. I stated we had reservations for 2 at 1:00 pm. We waited to be seated about 40 minutes, until we finally got seated and we had specifically asked for a table with a view. There were a couple of tables available and she insisted on seating us at a table with no view. She said the tables with a view were reserved for bigger parties. Mind you there were 2 couples seating at a table for 4. Luckily I saw the manager and told him about our issued and he kindly apologized and sat us at a table of our choices. He comp us 2 appetizers and desert for our inconvenience which I thought it was very nice. Our server did make us feel welcome and made great recommendations, the food was great. Overall it was a decent experience. I will strongly suggest that hostess (African American) gets some serious training or they have to get to rid of her. Truly lacking customer service skills. We will definitely give Agua Viva another try as long as we don’t have to deal with that hostess.

Peruvian scallops were really good. But the lobster roll and poke bowl was just okay for the price. The location and views were awesome and makes up for the expensive food. It's only our first time so we don't know how the rest of the menu is.

This is the first time I can remember giving less than a "5" for the food at Aqua Viva. The reason is, that I ordered the Ahi Poke, and I could only find a micro-hint of dressing. The Ahi seemed fresh, but I only tasted a trace [maybe as much as 1/4 tsp] of the onions, dressing and Macadamia nut. One minor contributing factor might have been that although I did not request it served on sushi rice, the kitchen sent it out that way. [Our server got the order right, and thus we weren't charged for the rice.]. That was the blandest raw fish I've ever eaten. Other dishes we ordered [eggs Benedict with Jamon, gazpacho, and the dessert profiterole], were great. We'll go back, but won't order the poke ever again.

Overall, restaurant was good, but the hostess that took us to the table clearly had no desire to work, restaurant was mostly empty, however she declined to seat us in any other are but seat us really close to a large party, not that I mind but isn’t nice when you have plenty of tables empty, the justification was, it would take 15min to prepare the tables, however, new people came in and were seated there instantly, no table preparation needed. Food was good, but the first experience definitely changed the perspective of our visit.

If you are looking for a rooftop restaurant with great views, elegant casual, and great food - the chicken dish was amazing, you will not regret this. Four of us went to celebrate a birthday, they provided a great-tasting cream puff dessert on the house. Our waiter Jimmy was pleasant, helpful, and attentive. It was a great evening.

Great spot to hang out with friends and family. We had ask for a special dessert cocktail and they did one by mistake but after letting them know the drink was not what we asked for they immediately replaced it with the correct one. That made us feel special and they even brought out a cake for the bday boy. Will definitely be coming back
