All the food & service were excellent! I’m vegan & there were several options on the night’s menu. We were celebrating an anniversary & the staff all made that feel very special & celebrated.

We have some Memphis favorites and AG makes that list. We were celebrating an anniversary/birthday and most staff members made mention. The design aesthetic is next level...it feels more like New York, Chicago or New Orleans. It's great to walk in and be aesthetically transported to a different world. The server was happy to uncork the bottle of Champagne we brought...corkage $25. At the end of the evening they brought the anniversary couple a short pour of Dom and remarkable house made chocolate for the birthday boy. The chef is very talented and handsome. He never came to our table but the open kitchen allowed us to see his quiet, smooth artistry...we did see him taking on the role of runner when necessary. Thursday evening they offer a tasting menu...five courses inspired by their cheese cart with vegetables...no protein...$50. We'll definitely go back as we were in the mood for protein. The proteins did not disappoint. The oyster course is two oysters. While I'm a dozen or more kind of guy these two were so amazing...they really were all I wanted/needed. The Wagyu Tartare was a meal unto itself....decadent in flavor but delicately delicious. We had a gorgeous presentation of Arancini and a stunning display of Grilled Octopus. The Lamb and Sea Bass entrees were magazine worthy, beautifully balanced in flavor profile and arrived at perfect temperatures. The duck may have slightly...just slightly been the star of the evening. It's a half duck...literally enough for three people and could be the best duck we've had in the US. We have a standard setter in Paris but this was a close second. I'm sure the desserts are great but didn't capture our interest. The Cheese Cart which reminded us of Alain Ducasse at Hôtel Plaza Athénée'. We were happy to see most tables occupied on a Thursday. The music didn't fit the design aesthetic and finally got to a Fine Dining volume around 9pm. We look forward to our next dining experience at AG.

After reading the reviews, I was really looking forward to my dinner at Amelia Genes. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed. My husband and I split the herb salad with gulf prawns starter which was very good but also very small. He had the “Half Rohan Duck, Kumquat, Butternut Squash, Endive, Natural Sauce” which consisted of two slabs of duck and an overcooked drummette with a small amount of veggies. No starch. I had the “Massachusetts Black Sea Bass, Chanterelle Mushrooms, Truffle Corn Sauce”. I wish I had taken photos to share. The meal consisted of two small pieces of over broiled fishy fish in a broth with four mushrooms and about 1/4 cup of kernel corn. Wow. What a disappointment. I also had a cocktail (just one). My husband had iced tea. Our bill was $156. Poor value. Food was beyond disappointing. Cannot recommend.

We were on a honeymoon trip from Ireland and booked Amelia Gene’s as a treat as we both love good food and it did not disappoint! We went on a Tuesday night and the ambiance was great. The staff were so lovely and made us feel extra special. The food was stunning. Every dish we had was fantastic… the food was classy, so tasty and just the right portion size. The Executive chef Nate Henssler took the time to come and chat to us which was so thoughtful. Overall, it was a fabulous experience and was one of the best meals we had on our honeymoon trip. We would highly recommend Amelia Gene’s for those who appreciate great food and exquisite service. Thank you to all the staff there for a wonderful night.

Dining at Amelia Gene's was a culinary masterpiece. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, this was not just a meal but an experience. The ambiance is a blend of elegance and warmth with just the right level of background music. The service was impeccable from start to finish. The recommendations were spot-on. As for the food, each dish was a revelation. The gulf prawn starter was amazing with a symphony of flavors, the pappardelle with lamb was awesome and the Black Sea Bass was cooked to perfection as well as the Filet Mignon. The attention to detail was evident in every bite as well as the presentation. The dessert we chose was the Pumpkin Spice Cream Brulee. This restaurant offers more than just a meal but a journey for the senses. Oh, we were there celebrating our anniversary and they brought us a glass of champagne to begin the evening.

Great first experience! Even though there was a slight mishap during the dinner, the management and servers were so sweet and really did what they could to make it up to us. Also, the tasting menu on Thursdays is to die for! Delicious food and such great wine pairings.
