Great location, good food. Nice spot for early breakfast.
Service slow. Had to send chips back as they were cold. Food all ok. Expect more and they cannot rely on the excellent location.
Good food and good vibe, great hot spot in the city and super easy to get to.
I go often there, but first time that I requested as birthday booking. They were super thoughtful and brought a small dessert with Happy Birthday. The place is Nice as most places inside The Ned. The bar is great. Perfect viewing for the live music. The food is minor. But this time we order just starters and I must say the fish cake was incredible.
Service was a little slow.
The ambiance, music, and general environment are awesome at the Ned. I can't say that the meal was the best I've ever had, but the food was good. The steak I got was cooked as asked and had a lot of flavor. Additionally they catered to my food allergies with care. I can say for sure the chips were perfect! The drink selection is solid and you can't beat the service, absolutely excellent.
Perfect in every way
Outstanding service in an exceptional location. Highly recommend this for all sorts of occasions.
Thoroughly enjoyed my time in Millie’s would recommend it xx
Service was slow and the quality of the food not great compared to other afternoon teas. Scones weren’t really scones and little sign of chicken in the coronation chicken sandwich. Slow on refreshing the tea and no offer of milk
Poor waiter staff were so busy
A great vibrant restaurant. Live music with a real buzz. Food was high end at a reasonable price point, and a good drinks selection (including cocktails). Service was prompt and efficient. Seating was a mix of formal and lounge seating
We booked for a baby shower / dinner, the stuff was a little rude specially the girl who seemed annoyed by our presence despite being the costumers. I been there few times on different times and occasion and the staff is always the main let down. Shame
My first visit to The Ned and had heard good things so was hoping not to be disappointed. Wow! Fabulous décor, great music and a lively bar scene. The cocktails were spot on. The food at Millies was impressive. The service was very friendly, discreet yet efficient and the atmosphere buzzing. We never felt rushed and had a really great evening. The Ned rises above the many "style over substance" trendy places I have visited in the past and compared to many is extremely good value (obviously not cheap but you get what you pay for). Will definitely go again!
really like the lay out and atmosphere. My favourite bar within the NED.Good food. nice attentive staff
Great venue and the food was well cooked albeit a little cold when it arrived. As I was at a business meeting I didn’t send it back because I didn’t want to cause a scene. Service was attentive at first although they lost a bit of interest once they had served the food.
Another fab evening on Music Monday - Ned's Mates - oysters, steak, chocolate and red wine - terrific value on the membership card - can't fault it. Service was attentive .... food was delish.
Very good starters of oysters and caviar. Excellent wine and cocktails. Mains of cod and salmon were good, if not excellent. Dinner spoiled somewhat by a rude waitress, who had an attitude problem and made us feel quite uncomfortable. Absolutely never have I previously seen it fit to not pay service, but we all agreed she had detracted from the evening. Handled very well by a senior member of staff. Would return as the ambiance and food/drink is very good, but hope that the service experience was just down to a bad day / one-off exception.
Waitresses didn’t really understands asks, wrong drinks were bought and we never got our sides
Great experience. Only issue is that it can be too loud at times and you can’t even listen to the ones around you. Nevertheless, great place to go
Birthday Our waitress Jeanette (?) Was lovely, atentioys but not overbearing.
The bad side. After dinner we went to have a drink in the hall - some people were dressed like they were going for a run or off to the grocery shop. - not nice.
Food is good, service is attentive, tables are cramped together and it feels hurried
Great atmosphere but sadly the food was not up to scratch considering the price. Love coming here for drinks but I don’t think I’ll be back for the food sadly.
Celebrating my daughters 21st with a surprise lunch at Millies. A lovely restaurant, with fab service and delicious food.
Millies at The Ned is always a favourite. They are more than helpful and welcoming and do it all with a smile on their face. I would recommend the afternoon tea as well.
Great French Fries and excellent, friendly service.
Another great evening at The Ned. Service can be a little slow, but is always friendly. Great cocktails, decent food.
Nice for afternoon tea, staff were very attentive Would go back.
Stunning Grade-I listed building (former Midland Bank) We dinned at Millie's located in the Grand Banking Hall. Tables are quite small, the menu is simple, food and service OK. If you want a meal with conversation, I would avoid a Friday/Saturday evening as they have a live band
Had very poor service
The service was rushed and pushy. It felt like other tables around us weren’t being quite so rushed as we on a table of 2 were. The setting and ambience at the venue was great I’d return to a different restaurant at the venue.
I was so excited to eat at Millie's within The Ned as I'd been lucky enough to see the venue before it opened. While the service and restaurant was fantastic, the breakfast wasn't amazing. Both my boyfriend and I had full or half english breakfast and it was just bland. The veggie alternative for my boyfriend was spinach, tomatios and mushrooms + beans, no egg included which was weird so we had to order now. My sausages were cold + mushrooms. I just exacted more but it's definitely a lovely place to send a morning. It's just the food that let it down.
Superb building in a great location. Fantasy service
Great casual place for lunch or dinner. Vibrant great atmosphere. Good variety on menu at reasonable prices.
I was very impressed with the friendly service. I want to come back next time.
Excellent afternoon tea at Millie’s. Sandwiches were wonderfully fresh and the selection of cake was brilliant. All very delicious and served by lovely staff. Definitely a great option for something special.
Thoroughly enjoyed my first visit. Will be coming back for another business lunch soon.
Good food, never disappoints. Perfect location for business breakfast. But the tables, in particular those for two people, are too close to each other. There is very little privacy. Perhaps this helps keep noise down because people want to be discreet. Also, in this occasion our table was loose and very wobbly, rather annoying. Unacceptable for such an upscale place.
This restaurant looks like it is a serene separate room from the photos but is in fact one of several eating areas in the main hall each with a bar that anyone can use. The result is that you are dining in a zoo with average food (nothing arrives hot) and drinkers falling into your table. Staff are great but can't compensate for the challenges this space poses. Very disappointing.
Incredible food and atmosphere. Excellent service.
Cant wait to go again!
