With our everchanging menu, seasonal & local inspiration and forward approach to dining, our commitment to excellence shows in everything we do. From our in house butchery or cooking over charcoal, to working with local suppliers in our community We challenge the way we all think about Food & Drink.

    The Chef's table is a 7-course, exclusive blind Tasting Menu, composed of the best of the season. These are ring side seats right in front of the Kitchen where you will get to see and experience the stress, pressure and rapid fire execution of how a fast-paced restaurant engine runs. This is not for the faint-hearted, your experience will give you a front row seat to how it all goes down. Strap in, it's going to be a hell of a ride. Elevate your experience with pairings from our reserve wine list or a mixology pairing form our bar team. Please note that we are unable to accommodate vegetarian, dairy/egg allergies, seafood allergies or aversions to raw meat/seafood. Hosted as a collaboration between The Standard & Brasserie de Chimay, Located at the Scourmont Abbey, a Trappist monastery in Chimay, Hainaut, Belgium, one of the thirteen breweries worldwide that produce Trappist beer. Enjoy an evening hosted by not only our Chef de Cuisine but also joining us will be Pierre Hensenne who is making a special visit from the abbey in Belgium for the event. Mingle with your hosts at our welcome reception and enjoy passed hors d'oeuvres, a welcome Trappist ale, and meet your hosts for the evening.     From the moment we arrived the service was excellent. Our server Kate was very knowledgeable about the menu options and made our first visit to The Standard a great experience.

    The food was amazing, the way the cooks worked together was impeccable, the chefs attention to detail was noticed. We got to try the hot pot addition which was a perfect touch. I truly love the fact that every week is something different, making this the perfect returning spot.

    Booked the chef’s table last night for our anniversary celebration and have zero regrets. The service, wine pairing, food and ambiance were outstanding. This restaurant has yet to disappoint us and made for a very enjoyable evening. Thank you!

    Sharing the 18 oz rib eye steak for my wife and I was perfect. Our server Amanda was great and our steak chef Connor did an excellent job!

    Food was great and our server was very nice but service was slow. Appetizers came out almost an hour after we had been sat. Other than that everything was awesome, great cocktail selection and food was outstanding! Definitely try to beef cheek

    Went Friday night of the Jann Arden concert in Hamilton so place was full and buzzing, great vibe. Sat at the bar and ordered sharing plates, mostly vegetarian…super tasty, great service. Loved the Belgian cherry beer. Great job all round.
